Do Christians make too big a deal about Jesus Christ-- Have we overblown the message of the Gospels to make Him more than He is-- Learn how John's use of the Greek word -logos- informs our answers.

Phil 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Have confidence in God that what He started He will finish, I want to encourage you that "You Will Win" regardless of how things look you are a winner in God.
What brings a beautiful relationship to the point of crumbling and divorce? Almost always, it is because one or both parties have lost their love for each other. Have we ever stopped to consider how we keep the flame of love alive in our relationship with Jesus Christ? Right theology doesn't necessarily equal right loving. Just because you know the truth doesn't mean you love the person who gave the truth. Our aim of theology is not just to be right; we want it to lead us to love our Savior in heaven. If our theology does not answer that goal, something has gone all wrong. Something is off target. If your heart is cold towards Jesus Christ, cry out to Him to kindle your love for Him anew!Right living does not necessarily equal right loving, either. Is our social activity done truly out of a love for Christ? We do need to live out our faith, but our works for men must be fruits from our love for Christ. What is your motivation? Is it a love for Jesus Christ, or is it doing good works merely for the good works' sake? If we are to keep the flames of our love for Christ alive, we must remember our first love! Do we hear Him speaking to us from His Word? Do we go to Him in prayer, and confess our sins to Him? Do we remember that God displayed His love for us in Christ's dying for us, while we were still His enemies? Are we seeking out the love of Jesus Christ? Have you forgotten your first love? Are we taking Christ for granted? Has He become so familiar to us that our hearts are like a hard rock? That's not what He wants for you! Let's repent of our cold-heartedness. Christ is telling you, "Come to Me! Don't let your love grow cold!"If the Church is not honoring Christ, and if we move our focus off of our Savior, He will remove His lampstand from our midst. Will we repent? Will our church be used by God to bring glory to His name for centuries to come? But there is a beautiful promise! The one who overcomes will be permitted to eat from the Tree of Life in the Paradise of God. Will we be overcomers? Will we overcome the culture and everything that is trying to extinguish our love for Jesus Christ? Will we be part of the great assembly that will sit and dine with Jesus at His marriage-feast in heaven? Will we seek our Savior? Do not forget your first love, but always burn for Jesus Christ!

Have you ever been made fun of for your faith in Jesus Christ? Have you ever been called names because you took a biblical position on some social issue? Persecution is not new to the church, and even today in America, we can face persecution for our beliefs. Last week Pastor Clay took us to Acts chapter 17 as we dove into the subject of surviving persecution. The persecution that followers of Jesus face in America is nothing compared to many parts of the world. But in our culture today, many followers of Jesus are ridiculed for their beliefs and moral convictions. In today’s message Pastor Clay is picking up where he left off last week, giving us some do’s and don’ts for handling persecution.
