God is All-Sufficient. We can not add anything to God. God does not need anything or ultimately anyone beyond himself. But the good news is that though God does not need us; God wants us; God chose us. God chose to create us; God chose to redeem us; God chose us for service. And because God is all-sufficient we can depend upon God!
God is not far from any of us. He created us with the capacity to seek, reason, and know Him. Human consciousness and our ability to reflect on truth, morality, and meaning point to the One in whom we live and move and have our being. In Acts 17:16–31, Paul does not perform miracles or healings, yet the message is powerful. The gospel itself is the power of God unto salvation. Even when miracles are not happening, God is still near, and we are still accountable to that truth. #TheGodWhoIsNear #Acts17 #ChristianApologetics #GospelTruth #FaithAndReason #BibleTeaching #BoldApologia #JesusIsAlive #RepentAndBelieveBackground music created and licensed through Brev.ai. This week we celebrate Easter and the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! Pastor Ulysses takes us through a passage in Acts where Paul shares about the one true God to the people in Athens, who were at the time completely consumed by daily news—much like we are today in the Bay Area. He explains how each of us can experience the resurrection life today if we look upon the cross and acknowledge the sacrifice he has made that we might live!

Today is episode 100 of "After God's Heart". The vision of this program originated from an idea behind the name. It grew out of a study that Dr. Biles did through the life of David. How he was a man after God's heart and the passion for us to be more like Him. So, the vision for this program is much the same. How can we, as believers in Jesus Christ, incrementally become more like Christ. Let's open our Bibles again to Acts 17 and hear the conclusion of a message entitled, "Making God Known".

Have you ever been in a situation where, as a believer in Jesus Christ, you felt outnumbered by those who opposed your faith? That's where we find the Apostle Paul in Acts 17. Paul was in the city of Athens and had an encounter with the religious elite of the city. Here's scene: in the city of Athens, there was (and is) and large rock area that is flat on the top. On top of that mountain is where the elite of the city used to gather for dialogue. On the way up to the top of the mountain was a pathway lined with pagan idols. Paul was making his way up the mountain and stopping by each idol. The conversation that followed grew out of Paul's burden for a lost city.
God is the Creator of the world, and He commands us to repent of our sins and to turn to Him.
The mission of Silicon Valley's entrepreneurs has long been to change the world. But, how do you know whether a pursuit is good or bad? ACTS17 collective, a Christian faith based group of tech entrepreneurs, says a strong relationship with God is the answer. Today on the show, we talk about the people promoting a faith-based approach to tech, we learn what a “good quest” is, and we ask, what impact religion will have on the type of ventures the valley pursues in the future? Finding God's will isn't always as complicated as we sometimes make it sound. We often over-complicate the process. When really, God has often made it very clear. The first part of Acts 17 presents two very clearly defined kinds of people. The question we must take from this passage in application is which group represents me. So, take your Bibles and turn again to Acts 17, this is a message Dr. Biles has entitled, "Are you one of These or one of Those?"
