On this episode of the Adventures of Pipeman, Pipeman is joined by Saliva, live from Blue Ridge Festival, live from Virginia International Raceway, Virginia. Pipeman starts by talking about the rainy weather which caused a lot of problems the day before at Blue Ridge. The rain caused mud which forced Slipknot to stop their show four times to help people who were hurt. Pipeman asks them what people can expect from there show at Blue Ridge, and they say they'll get on stage and do what Saliva does, with lots of energy and just bring it. They've done two shows in the two days before, so they're ready to go. The guys then talk about the fascination with going backstage and how it's not what it's hyped up to be. Pipeman thinks back to the time he went to Metallica's first show, and everyone went backstage, but now it's boring and no one goes but everyone thinks it's where you need to be. They also talk about some of the difficulties which you might have heard about the festival but want to make sure people understand that it's incredibly difficult to run a festival full of A-list artists. Pipeman talks about Hellfest where everyone went on stage on time, but they talk about how long Hellfest has been going, saying next year Blue Ridge should be better. We’re back after a little vacation! Our favorite story of the week away has to be #EddieVanHalen taking a picture for a concert goer...who had no idea who Eddie was! Also, #PaulStanley talks about his relationship with #GeneSimmons, #JoseyScott will return to #Saliva and #DaveMustaine has reportedly finished his throat cancer treatment.
A tremendous story coming from a friend of the DOMKcast. Josey Scott formerly of Saliva has been apart of DOMK in the past. He came up to the KMOD studios to hang out with Lunchbox and Promo Brady to share details about a new family member that he discovered after going through ancestry.com. Ironically enough, it required a sample of his "saliva". His discovery was life-changing. The results found that he had a sister that was born in Phoenix years ago. He made contact with his new sibling by the name of Savannah and flew her and her family out to Tulsa. You'll hear from both Josey and his new sister Savannah on episode 108 of the DOMKcast. What is her perspective of the news? Was she familiar with the band Saliva? The two united for the first time last week and will share their story. Enjoy! #DOMKRocks
