With this week marking the end of KISS as a touring entity, we thought we'd serve up a Torpedo Dudes 4 All! This is Decibel Geek's KISS-exclusive podcast and there's plenty to discuss! KISS recently had to cancel shows in Ottawa, Toronto, and Knoxville due to Paul Stanley contracting the flu. The band got back on track for Indianapolis and is moving forward with the final dates. Between the Ottawa and Toronto cancellations a tragic car accident/explosion made news as a possible terror attack. How does this (potentially) relate to KISS? Listen to find out. As the band prepares for this weekend's final shows at Madison Square Garden, we discuss our thoughts on the current lineup, how we got to our opinions, and the multiple KISS-themed doings in NYC this week. Activities discussed include the NYC KISS takeover and, of course, the shows themselves. It was confirmed recently that no ex-members, including Bruce Kulick, will be guesting at the shows. Will there be any surprises or shakeups for these landmark shows? We give our predictions. Speaking of ex-members, Ace Frehley released the title track to his upcoming album '10,000 Volts' which is due next February. We give our reactions to the new single, our hopes for the album, and more. We hope you enjoy Torpedo Dudes 4 All and consider joining us on Patreon as a DBG VIP! It's because YOU the listener are the most crucial part of this journey. Our guest on this episode is rock and roll royalty. Bruce has toured and recorded with a variety of artists including Meat Loaf, the Good Rats, Billy Squier, Blackjack, and for 12 years toured with the hottest band in the land...KISS. We're bringing this interview out of the archives because KISS is at an important point in the story of the band. KISS will play their final show on December 2nd, 2023 at Madison Square Garden. This interview with Bruce Kulick was originally broadcast on the radio in the summer of 2007, never to be heard again until now. Bruce Kulick has three solo albums of his own. They're really amazing records! He currently plays lead guitar with Grand Funk Railroad, and has appeared on albums alongside everyone from Paul Stanley and Todd Rundgren to Michael Bolton. and even with all of these inspiring accomplishments he loves his fans and is a down-to-earth guy. This interview was recorded at a retail music store called Ponier Music in Kennesaw, Georgia. It's not there any more. We're always thrilled to make content like this available to you all. You can help us in our mission by going right here. We hope you enjoy the interview with Bruce Kulick! Let's go! Nestor Aparicio wanted the best and he got the best! As a kid who worshiped all things KISS in the 1970s musical coming of age, he interviewed Paul Stanley twice as a music critic – once at The News American as a 16-year old in 1985 and again in a late-night, by-invite personal sit down with the legendary leader of the hottest band in the world at a makeup free 1990 chat on the "Hot In The Shade" tour. It was a great chat when the groupies weren't beating on Stanley's hotel room at the Dulles Hyatt. The post Nestor Aparicio interviews Paul Stanley of KISS on Hot In The Shade tour in 1990 first appeared on Baltimore Positive WNST.
