Durante la charla, pusimos sobre la mesa la gran interrogante de si realmente es posible separar la grandeza de alguien en su arte de su comportamiento en la vida real. Hablamos de cómo muchas veces endiosamos a los músicos o deportistas y olvidamos que, al final del día, son seres humanos que cometen errores y tienen fallas. Reflexionamos sobre los peligros de esos casos en los que el fanatismo lleva a las personas a justificar o incluso replicar conductas nocivas, escudándose en la supuesta influencia de figuras controversiales del black metal, artistas como Marilyn Manson, o grandes ídolos del deporte como Diego Armando Maradona. También aprovechamos el espacio para compartir nuestras experiencias personales al conocer a nuestros ídolos musicales, confirmando que a veces te llevas grandes sorpresas y otras, amargas decepciones. Yo les relaté la increíble experiencia que tuvimos JC y yo en una clínica al conocer a Aquiles Priester, quien nos demostró ser una persona excelente y muy accesible. Por su parte, Cobarru nos contó su anécdota llena de nervios y emoción conociendo a Fernando Ribeiro de Moonspell, aunque también recordamos los tragos amargos que se viven cuando los artistas se comportan de manera grosera o distante, recordando actitudes como las de Nick Holmes de Paradise Lost y debatiendo sobre lo compleja que es la personalidad de Dave Mustaine. Al final, concluimos que cada fan tiene la total libertad de decidir sus propios límites sobre qué conductas personales tolerar y si es momento de dejar de consumir el arte de un músico cuando sus acciones rebasan el respeto hacia la sociedad. Lo más importante de esta plática es recordar que, aunque decidamos seguir disfrutando la música de alguien, nunca debemos normalizar las acciones malas que lastiman a otros.
