Police in Chicago are investigating a shocking attack against "Empire" star Jussie Smollet last night as a hate crime. Two people beat Jussie, poured an unknown chemical on him and wrapped a rope around his neck, while yelling homophobic slurs at the openly gay actor/activist. The men struck Jussie in the face, wrapped a rope around his neck and poured the substance on him, before fleeing the scene. This sort of violence is beginning to get out of hand.
