Kushagra is back from his week-long Bunga Bunga Party, just in time to join us for a very momentous episode. This week marks our very first episode to be filmed and uploaded to YouTube. That's right, from this week, you'll now have the privilege to both hear, and see us, as we record our episodes. Be sure to check out our YouTube channel 'Critical Banter' (link below) for future episodes and exclusive YouTube content such as challenges, pranks and classic Bollywood covers. This week, we discuss Black Friday, good deals, the Utah desert and elaborate pranks. “Usernames” makes a comeback this week. Miguel offers up some easier words this time, yet the boys continue to be terrible at this game. We end this week's episode with the return of, “Not All Heroes,” where we recount epic tales of unlikely heroes and individuals who have had to step up to the plate in a time of need. In this edition, the boys discuss covid restriction skirting shenanigans by some high school boys, before Miguel tries to spin a story of kidnap and grievous bodily harm as heroic. Much like last time, neither stories contain any actual heroes. Also this week: Broccoli, The Fifth Element, Jordan, Love is Love and Wedding Tackle. Segments this week: The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week's news stories, events and viral trends. Usernames: In this game, the boys are given one word clues which they must use to guess another word the host is thinking of. Not All Heroes: In this segment we pay tribute to the average Joes and true blue everyday battlers who stepped up when needed. ___________________________________________________ SPONSORS

As parts of Australia begin to head back into lockdown amid the dreaded second wave of Coronavirus, here at Critical Banter we've gone in the opposite direction as Kush has finally left his house for the first time in months. To begin this week's episode we discuss face masks, twitter hacks and the state of Australian TV where things get a bit personal between Kush and Rohit. Finally we end the segment with a classic chat about simps as one of the boys parks the bus and defends their actions. “Finish the Lyric” makes a somewhat triumphant return to the podcast this week after a few months in the wilderness (mainly due to Sen and Kush's shambolic effort in the first edition of this segment). This time around, however, Rohit joins the boys and the songs are heavily catered to the boys' niche, and questionable taste in music - it was impossible for the boys to stuff this up. We end this week's episode with a new segment, “Not All Heroes,” where we recount epic tales of unlikely heroes and individuals who have had to step up to the plate in a time of need. In this inaugural edition, Sen steals his coworker's story of greatness in High School, before Rohit somehow tries to make himself the hero of a story regarding domestic violence. Safe to say neither stories contained any actual heroes. Also this week: Sri Lankan Dick Pics, Simps, Jungle and The Shaker. Segments this week: The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week's news stories, events and viral trends. Finish the Lyric: A game where you finish the lyric. Not All Heroes: In this segment we pay tribute to the average Joes and true blue everyday battlers who stepped up when needed. ___________________________________________________ FULL PODCAST EPISODES

(Aired March 12th but due to audio problems-new interview) Gary Skogen’s tour in Vietnam (1971–72) was the best year of his life. Living with fellow CID investigators in an isolated hooch overlooking the South China Sea at the U.S. base at Chu Lai, Skogen enforced military drug laws during his working hours and yet managed to pursue a life of perfect hedonism—far from the farm life in southwestern North Dakota where he grew up. With unlimited access to cheap beer, a wide variety of compliant Vietnamese women, and a jeep he had somehow commandeered, Skogen perfected his criminal investigative skills at a time when U.S. troop morale had reached its nadir. This unconventional, unheroic, and unapologetic book is not a typical Vietnam memoir. Together with 80 percent of the two million men and women who served in Vietnam, Skogen spent his time behind the scenes at a large support base. He did not slog on midnight patrols through Viet Cong tunnels or rice paddies studded with booby traps. He spent his year investigating the men who endangered the lives of their fellow soldiers by giving themselves over to unrestrained drug use.Skogen’s gritty narrative proves that some whose names are incised on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall died in less than heroic circumstances. Backed by impeccable research in the files of the National Archives and Records Administration, this unromanticized account reveals the sordidness of the war in its late phases, and questions the validity of seeing all Vietnam veterans as victims. NOT ALL HEROES-An Unapologetic Memoir of The Veitnam War, 1971-72-Gary Skogen
