Carl spoke on the topic ‘The Partial Kingdom: Land and King' - and how God promises, through his people, to bless them so they would bless all nations including the provision of land for his people to live in
In God's unfolding story we continue to see God's plan coming to pass through ordinary people. In 2 Samuel we see David graciously engaging with king David through promising to establish through him the one who will bring about God's eternal plans.

Our third episode in the "partial kingdom" series focuses on the place God provides for his people - both in the Old Testament and through Jesus.
In our second episode exploring the partial kingdom, we turn our attention to God's rule and blessing over his people.
In this episode, we begin our examination of the "partial" kingdom of the Old Testament. We start by looking at God's people from Genesis 12 through Exodus 18.
4. THE PARTIAL KINGDOM (Part 1) God's promises to Abraham are partially fulfilled in Israel's history. Through the exodus from Egypt, God makes Abraham's descendants his very own people. At Mount Sinai he gives them his law so that they might live under his rule and enjoy his blessing, as Adam and Eve had done before they sinned. The blessing is marked chiefly by God's presence with his people in the tabernacle. -- Vaughan Roberts Buy Book Ask me a question | kory.cunningham@gmail.com

The Kingdom of God is a phrase you may have heard if you've spent much time around the Christian faith, but what is the Kingdom of God and how is it a pattern for understanding the story of the entire Bible? In this episode, Tyler & Virginia start into part 4.4 of a series walking through Vaughn Roberts' book God's Big Picture: Tracing the Storyline of the Bible. The episode kicks off with the most unique date you've ever heard, turns to a nation with leaders that are lacking, then finds hope in two kings who turn out to be a big letdown, and finally a nation that suffers the consequences of their actions. We continue our series looking at the big picture of the whole Bible. Having seen the pattern of the Kingdom established in Genesis 1 & 2. And the Kingdom perish due to sin in Genesis 3. We then saw God's grace in action as he promises to restore the kingdom through Abraham and his descendants. This is our second week looking at how God's kingdom is partially realised through the people of God in the Old Testament. Thanks again to Vaughan Roberts and his book God's Big Picture.

Jimmy Davis - Ever wonder why we’re so connected to places we love and so concerned about the people who lead us? It’s because we were made to live in God’s Place following the lead of God’s King. This week we look at 2 Samuel 7 to see how God promises to fulfill our longings for both.
Jimmy Davis - Why did God give His people the Law? In this message we consider how God’s Law is a guardrail, guardian, and guide. We also consider how Jesus makes it possible for law-breaking sinners to live in community and on mission with a holy God!
Jimmy Davis - Exodus tells the story of how God will move heaven and earth to be with His people. He rescues and redeems His people by providing Jesus as our substitute sacrifice and by subduing the enemy. But He not only saves us from sin, He saves us for service to our neighbors, the nations, and the next generation.

This term we are working the Bible in the company of 'God's Big Picture' - a book by the Rev Vaughan Roberts - showing how different parts of the Bible fit together under the theme of the Kingdom of God. This series will aid us in reading the Bible with confidence, enthusiasm and understanding as we again encounter the Bible's supreme subject - the Lord Jesus Christ - and the salvation God offers through Him.
