Pastor Ethan continues our series, Undivided, in the letter of James with a message on coming near to God rather than the world.
In Week 3 of Built Different, Pastor Ethan Harris closes the series by looking at 2 Peter 1:5–8 and the progression Peter gives us for a faith that grows into real, Christlike love.Peter knew what it felt like to fail, deny Jesus, and feel unworthy. But Jesus met him right where he was, restored him, and called him into a life of purpose. That same invitation is for us today. When we supplement our faith with virtue, knowledge, self-control, steadfastness, godliness, brotherly affection, and love, we become people who are not ineffective or unfruitful. We become people who love like Jesus, serve like Jesus, and show the world that we are truly built different.

The world is constantly trying to shape us into its image, but God is calling us to something better. In Romans 12:1-2, Paul shows us that true worship is offering our whole lives to Christ, refusing to conform to the patterns of this age, and experiencing the transforming power of a renewed mind.__The Bridge Church exists to join God in multiplying his kingdom in Wilmington and the world. For more information on The Bridge Church, please visit https://thebridgeilm.com/Next Steps: https://thebridgeilm.churchcenter.com/people/forms/302918If you feel led, give online by clicking here: https://www.thebridgeilm.com/giveSTAY CONNECTEDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebridgeilm/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheBridgeILMEvents Page: https://thebridgeilm.churchcenter.com/registrations/events
In Romans 11:11–36, Paul shows us that God's mercy does far more than forgive sin. Mercy kills pride and produces humility, kills animosity and produces unity, and kills idolatry and produces worship. Join us as we explore how the mercy of God transforms not only our standing beforehim, but our hearts, our relationships, and our lives.__The Bridge Church exists to join God in multiplying his kingdom in Wilmington and the world. For more information on The Bridge Church, please visit https://thebridgeilm.com/Next Steps: https://thebridgeilm.churchcenter.com/people/forms/302918If you feel led, give online by clicking here: https://www.thebridgeilm.com/giveSTAY CONNECTEDInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/thebridgeilm/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TheBridgeILMEvents Page: https://thebridgeilm.churchcenter.com/registrations/events

Our Broken Arrow Senior Pastor, Ethan Vanse, continues week three of our teaching series, The Life of Abraham. In Genesis 15, we see that at the center of everything is a God who pursues us, initiates covenant, and invites us into something unbreakable. Abraham shows us what that kind of relationship looks like: bringing God his deepest desires, his honest doubts, and even his greatest shortcomings. And instead of pushing him away, God meets him there—making a promise Abraham could never fulfill on his own and carrying the weight of it Himself. In this message, Pastor Ethan explores the following Scriptures: Genesis 15:1-18 ESV 1 After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision: "Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great." 2 But Abram said, "O Lord God, what will you give me, for I continue childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?" 3 And Abram said, "Behold, you have given me no offspring, and a member of my household will be my heir." 4 And behold, the word of the Lord came to him: "This man shall not be your heir; your very own son shall be your heir." 5 And he brought him outside and said, "Look toward heaven, and number the stars, if you are able to number them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be." 6 And he believed the Lord, and he counted it to him as righteousness. 7 And he said to him, "I am the Lord who brought you out from Ur of the Chaldeans to give you this land to possess." 8 But he said, "O Lord God, how am I to know that I shall possess it?" 9 He said to him, "Bring me a heifer three years old, a female goat three years old, a ram three years old, a turtledove, and a young pigeon." 10 And he brought him all these, cut them in half, and laid each half over against the other. But he did not cut the birds in half. 11 And when birds of prey came down on the carcasses, Abram drove them away. 12 As the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell on Abram. And behold, dreadful and great darkness fell upon him. 13 Then the Lord said to Abram, "Know for certain that your offspring will be sojourners in a land that is not theirs and will be servants there, and they will be afflicted for four hundred years. 14 But I will bring judgment on the nation that they serve, and afterward they shall come out with great possessions. 15 As for you, you shall go to your fathers in peace; you shall be buried in a good old age. 16 And they shall come back here in the fourth generation, for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet complete." 17 When the sun had gone down and it was dark, behold, a smoking fire pot and a flaming torch passed between these pieces. 18 On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram, saying, "To your offspring I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the river Euphrates, Psalm 25:14 ESV 14 The friendship of the Lord is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant. Hebrews 4:16 ESV 16 Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. – Next Steps Looking to take a next step?
