Returning to the show today is Gleb Tsipursky. He contacted me a couple of weeks ago to mention a new project he’s working on called the Rational Politics project which gathers thoughtful citizens of all political stripes devoted to fighting post-truth politics. According to the press release he sent me, “We see these political methods as one of the worst problems for our global society in terms of how important, neglected, and solvable it is. In addressing this issue, we aim to use best practices in communicating and marketing both to get people to care about truth in politics and to provide them with the tools and resources to use evidence and reason in making wise political decisions that will benefit our society as a whole. To do so, we are launching the post-lies movement to bring us from our post-truth present into a post-lies future.” So I invited Gleb to come back on the show to talk about the project.Links:•Gleb’s website: http://glebtsipursky.com/ •Intentional Insights: http://intentionalinsights.org/ •Gleb on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Dr-Gleb-Tsipursky-468695349847623/ •Gleb on Twitter: http://twitter.com/Gleb_Tsipursky •The Gaytheist Manifesto: http://gaytheistmanifesto.secularmediagroup.com/ •ReasonCon 3: http://reasonnc.com/ •Freedom From Religion Foundation: https://ffrf.org/ •Promoting Secular Feminism: http://promotingsecularfeminism.com/ •The Biskeptical Podcast: http://www.spreaker.com/show/the-biskeptical-podcast•Dream Youth: http://dreamyouth.bandcamp.com •Asher Silberman: http://www.ashersilberman.com/ •My Twitter: http://twitter.com/tmamone •Bi Any Means on Twitter: http://twitter.com/bianymeanspod •Bi Any Means on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/bianymeanspodcast •The Bi Any Means/Biskeptical Podcast Fans Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/179617892470906/ •Email: bianymeanspodcast@gmail.com •Listener line: 410-690-3558 •My Patreon page: http://www.patreon.com/tmamone •Bi Any Means Blog: http://freethoughtblogs.com/bianymeans/

This week on The Triple-Po, I first give a shout out, and then talk about a Facebook post about the now infamous Ellen and Bolt pic, as well as a certain douchepickle insulting friends of mine on Facebook for no apparent reason. For the palaver, I had the honor of speaking with they dynamic duo that is Demanda Wright and Ms. Bea Haven, the badasses from Promoting Secular Feminism. We had a wide ranging discussion, from lube to meat pockets. Mostly, however, it was Demanda Wright and her storied feminist digressions that stole the show. Tune in to learn about osmoality! It's cooler than it sounds! Music by Dot Dot Dash, cdbaby.com/cd/dotdotdash

In the spirit of Equal Pay Day which happened recently, I’ve got Miss Bea Haven from Promoting Secular Feminism on to talk about gender inequality in income. Joining me today are Beth Presswood and Dori Monneyham. Beth is the creator and co-host of the now-defunct podcast Godless Bitches, and Dori is transgender psych student who blogs about LGBT issues, atheism, and feminism. The two join me today to answer a question that’s on my mind a lot: Can we talk about feminism? I don’t know why, but whenever someone mentions the word “feminism” in atheist circles, shit hits the fan. While I think certain feminist issues are extremely complex and full of nuances, feminism does bring up many issues that I think need to be discussed. Unfortunately, as soon as I say I’m a feminist, some people automatically dismiss what I have to say because they automatically assume I’m this walking stereotype. Hopefully this episode will start more productive conversations within the atheist community.
