Today’s episode is another monologue episode. This time I’m sharing my experiences at PASTAHcon this past weekend. I brought my Zoom H4N portable recorder with me just in case I found someone to interview for the show, and while I met a lot of people that I would love to have on the show in the future, it was much easier for me to just listen to the talks and hang out with friends than try to chase someone down to talk to me for five minutes. Also, I was originally planning on inviting a guest for this week, but since I’m recording the Biskeptical Podcast this week with Morgan and I have a few other projects I need to do, I figure just turning on the mic and talking about this past weekend would be less of a hassle. Ari Stillman's Internet and Zencastr's losing of files attempted to contribute to Enby erasure, ironically on the episode about Enby erasure, but we shall persevere. Trav Mamone from The Biskeptical Podcast and Bi Any Means joins Marissa Alexa McCool and Ari Stillman to talk about the very thing that various technological failures tried to prevent.Support the show at www.patreon.com/qaf

My guest for today is Aaron Rabinowitz, co-host of the new podcast Embrace the Void. Here’s what the official description of the show says: “Welcome friends, to a podcast for a darker timeline. Maybe the darkest of all timelines. Definitely not one of the good timelines. Maybe it’s always been a dark timeline, maybe the Hadron collider screwed us over. Science may never know. What we do know is that we live in the void. The void, a place where a chittering mass of void crabs can infest a person suit and win the presidency. The void, a place where we're just clever enough to know that climate change is happening, but not quite clever enough to do anything about it. The void seems terrible and cruel, but it loves you, in its own ironic way.” So today we’re going to talk about philosophy, religion, and what it means to embrace the Void.Links:•Embrace the Void: https://voidpod.com •ETV on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EmbraceTheVoidPod/ •ETV on Twitter: https://twitter.com/ETVPod •Ashton P. Today’s episode is a collection of short interviews I did with some of the speakers and attendees of last week’s ReasonCon3 conference in Hickory, NC. First up is Gene Elliott, who helped organize the event. Then I chat with Matt Dillahunty, one of the speakers. Then we hear from friend of the show, Louis Mendez, followed by Heath and Eli from God Awful Movies. And finally I chat with Callie Wright from the Gaytheist Manifesto, who pretty much stole the show, and you’ll soon find out why.Links:•ReasonCon: http://reasonnc.com/ •The Atheist Experience: http://www.atheist-experience.com/ •Louis Mendez’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/the.louis.mendez •God Awful Movies: https://audioboom.com/channel/god-awful-movies •The Gaytheist Manifesto: http://gaytheistmanifesto.secularmediagroup.com/ •The Original Motto Project: http://originalmotto.us/ •Skeptic’s Brewpub: http://skepticsbrewpub.com/ •Freedom from Religion Foundation: http://ffrf.org •Secular Yakking: http://secularyakking.com/ •The Biskeptical Podcast: http://www.spreaker.com/show/the-biskeptical-podcast•Dream Youth: http://dreamyouth.bandcamp.com •Asher Silberman: http://www.ashersilberman.com/ •My Twitter: http://twitter.com/tmamone •Bi Any Means on Twitter: http://twitter.com/bianymeanspod •Bi Any Means on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/bianymeanspodcast •The Bi Any Means/Biskeptical Podcast Fans Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/179617892470906/ •Email: bianymeanspodcast@gmail.com •Listener line: 410-690-3558 •My Patreon page: http://www.patreon.com/tmamone •Bi Any Means Blog: http://freethoughtblogs.com/bianymeans/

My guest for today is Mel Rice, operations manager for the Normalize Atheism Campaign. The Normalize Atheism Campaign was created by Mark Nebo of Be Secular as a way to destigmatize atheism back in 2014, but recently joined forces with Sincere Kirabo and Steve Shives to reinvigorate it. So today we’re going to talk to Mel about the campaign, her role there, and her backstory. As a head’s up, part of Mel’s story involves being a domestic violence survivor, so listener discretion is advised. My guest for today is Conor Robinson, program director of Foundation Beyond Belief and director of the Humanist Service Corps. The Humanist Service Corps is an international secular humanist volunteering program that services communities throughout the world. It started as Foundation Beyond Belief-sponsored yearlong international service trip called the Pathfinders Project, and from that experience came the Humanist Service Corps. Today's episode concludes our two-part look at one of your most requested questions: what might be in Donald Trump's taxes! We begin, however, with a listener criticism from Peter Crinklaw, who thinks Andrew gave short shrift to the policy argument for educational vouchers. Next, we conclude our two-part interview Tony Di Fatta, a practicing CPA, to take a deep-dive into all the things we might -- and might not -- find in the event that Donald Trump's taxes are ever disclosed. All of this is meant to shed some light on the question: should Democrats be focused on finding out what's in Trump's taxes? After our main segment, we tackle another listener question; this one from our top patron Zabby, who wants to know about the recently-passed Jacksonville, Florida Human Rights Ordinance. Finally, we end with a brand new Thomas Takes the Bar Exam question #12 regarding witness credibility. Remember that TTTBE issues a new question every Friday, followed by the answer on next Tuesday's show. Don't forget to play along by following our Twitter feed (@Openargs) and/or our Facebook Page and quoting the Tweet or Facebook Post that announces this episode along with your guess and reason(s)! Recent Appearances: Thomas was interviewed by Conatus News about the development of the atheist community on the internet, including the role played by his other podcast, Serious Inquiries Only. Andrew was a guest on the David Pakman show; you can watch the 14-minute video interview here. Andrew was also a guest on the Biskeptical Podcast, episode #19, with Trav Mamone and Morgan Stringer, discussing free speech and Milo Yiannopolous. Hall of Fame Patron Charone Frankel started her own legal comedy podcast, Habeas Humor. Go check it out. Show Notes & Links This is the economist survey regarding vouchers mentioned by Peter. To find out more about Tony, click here for his website, or give him a call at (443) 791-5726. This is a link to Donald Trump's 2016 financial disclosures. Here's the hilarious Onion article, "You People Made Me Give Up My Peanut Farm!" This is the text of the Jacksonville HRO. In today's episode, we take a look at one of your most requested questions: what might be in Donald Trump's taxes! We begin, however, with a preliminary question from Jim Sabatowski, who asks us what's the big deal with Trump's tax returns, anyway? Is there a good reason to think we can get information that's necessary to evaluate a candidate? Next, we give you part one of our two-part interview Tony Di Fatta, a practicing CPA, to take a deep-dive into all the things we might -- and might not -- find in the event that Donald Trump's taxes are ever disclosed. All of this is meant to shed some light on the question: should Democrats be focused on finding out what's in Trump's taxes? After our main segment, we inaugurate a new segment about how close President Trump is to impeachment with a question about 18 USC § 1001 and the prohibition against making false statements. With a bonus reference to The Price Is Right! Finally, we end with the answer to Thomas Takes the Bar Exam question #11 about the best evidence rule. Remember that TTTBE issues a new question every Friday, followed by the answer on next Tuesday's show.
