This week on The Diamond Duo Podcast, Tom and Tony revisit the All Star Game as the final rosters were recently revealed. The two review who will be starting, who will be a reserve, and who was wrongfully left out - trust us there were plenty in the latter category. Apart from that, they revive the Around The Horn segment to ceremoniously laud the hottest teams in baseball: the Orioles and the Mariners (didn't think we'd be saying that in July). Conversely, this comes with the added pleasure of ridiculing some of baseball's worst, including the predictably terrible Angels, who simply find ways to remain a laughingstock. Speaking of laughingstocks, another team has acquired Robinson Cano and Tom and Tony spend some time trying to figure out why. This segment may or may not contain laughter aimed at the team in question. The duo close things out by catching up with recently returned Red Sox ace Chris Sale and his rather destructive escapades in his rehab assignment. Episode 26 | Umps Are Getting Worse, Robby Cano Released, & Milestones Galore

This week on The Diamond Duo Podcast, Tom and Tony plunge into the unforgiving wasteland that is MLB umpiring. They take an especially close look at one recent incident where an umpire looked for a reason to eject Madison Bumgarner by gazing longingly into his eyes. The duo follows this bout of strangeness up by (*gasp*) praising the New York Mets! This praise comes from their release of struggling veteran Robinson Cano and their 6-run comeback in the 9th inning to utterly embarrass the Phillies! Before they dive into any stories, however, the two go Around The Horn to cover the hottest teams (White Sox, Astros, Brewers) and players (Manny Machado, Kevin Gausman, Christian Yelich) in addition to the coldest teams (Red Sox, Tigers, Phillies) and players (Marcell Ozuna, Trevor Story, Dallas Keuchel). A flurry of recent milestones achieved by Adam Wainwright, Yadier Molina, Miguel Cabrera, and Dusty Baker is also lauded by the pair. The episode is closed out by the recognition of Buster Posey Day in San Francisco, the acknowledgement of three prospects recently called up to the show (possibly even teasing a brand new segment), and the triumphant return of our Deep Drive To Left segment to commemorate the whiniest manager in all of MLB! All this and more coming at ya on Episode 26 of The Diamond Duo Podcast! Make sure to follow us on Instagram @thediamondduopodcast and on Twitter @DiamondDuoPod for more content and show updates! Fire Mickey Callaway and hire former Yankees and World Series-winning Manager Joe Girardi, right away. Despite the current mess, this move would bring about instant success. So much so, that I will go on record, stating a Girardi run Mets will be playing baseball in October. If they don’t, The Mets might as well mimic Robby Cano and stop running in the playoff race. Since what was and still can be a promising season, is very close to being over.

Welcome to "The Mad Scientist's Sports Lab", hosted by "The Mad Scientist of Sports" Nick Ficorelli. This is not the average everyday sports show he is bringing to the air waves. "The Mad Scientist" has created his own personal sports lab, and you, the audience, as well as many of his special guests, will be his test subjects. He will throw theories out, and you never know where they will be coming from. He will keep everyone guessing, and he will open his lab to any and all comers. Be prepared for "mad science" sports talk at its best. This week is a special episode, as it will be a "GMB Sports Takeover" of the lab, led by host Brandon Medeiros. His test subjects for tonight include: 10pm EST Doug Rush, formerly of Sports Media 101, and now a free-lance sports writer, to talk some baseball - Yankees, Red Sox, Mets 6-man rotation, the fall of Robby Cano and more; 1030pm will be Bob Lung, the Host of Fantasy Football Consistency on The Asylum Sports Network, to talk some fantasy football - who he thinks will be the sleepers for this coming season, and who will make the most impact from the 2015 NFL Draft Class; 11pm will be Robert Cobb of The Inscriber to talk about the FIFA scandal, the reach it will hold, and what FIFA can do to "clean itself" up; 1130pm, Chris Wassel of Project Roto to talk Stanley Cup and give a recap of Games 1 and 2.
