Looking for the absolute best fantasy baseball waiver wire advice, the latest fantasy baseball trade targets, and updated fantasy baseball rankings? We break down why Jarren Duran is highlighting our latest rankings risers, analyze the underlying metrics making Jackson Chourio an elite buy-low trade target, and pinpoint exactly who you need to target before your league mates catch on. Week 11 Market Analytics & Player Teardowns The fantasy baseball landscape is shifting rapidly as we head into Week 11, requiring managers to separate real skill growth from temporary statistical anomalies. A prime example is Boston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran, who highlights our latest rankings risers due to underlying pace metrics that suggest a potential 30-30 campaign. Despite an elevated 29% strikeout rate, Duran has locked down the everyday leadoff spot, making his volume-heavy profile incredibly valuable. When evaluating risers like Duran or Bryan Reynolds, analyzing baseline shifts rather than riding unsustainable BABIP waves is essential to sustaining success. The trade market presents distinct buy-low windows that demand immediate action. Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackson Chourio remains an elite buy-low target; his underlying barrel rates and hard-hit metrics have been teasing a massive breakout, and his recent multi-homer explosion during the series sweep shows that the acquisition window is closing incredibly fast. Similarly, Oakland's Tyler Soderstrom is showing immense growth, dropping his strikeout rate from a concerning 30% down to a highly manageable 18%. Combined with a rising launch angle at a highly favorable Sutter Health Park hitting environment, his bat is primed for a massive second-half surge. On the flip side, identifying optimal sell-high timelines is just as crucial for long-term roster construction. Christian Yelich continues to provide solid surface counting stats, but his underlying metrics paint an incredibly alarming picture. Yelich's launch angle sits at a low two degrees, paired with a meager 6% barrel rate and a career-worst average exit velocity of 88 mph. With his strikeout rate jumping nearly 30% alongside chronic back discomfort, savvy managers should trade the veteran asset now to maximize return value before rest-of-season regression fully hits. Conversely, pitching depth remains highly volatile, as highlighted by the dramatic roster shifts across standard leagues. For those looking to fill open roster spots, looking toward efficient arms like Detroit's Troy Melton or checking the underlying predictive metrics of high-upside young arms like Chase Burns provides a strategic roadmap for stabilizing team ERAs and WHIPs without burning waiver priority on low-floor assets. Christian Yelich asserted that the issue between the Cardinals and Brewers with respect to Abner Uribe had been "handled."Nobody handled it with the guy who was batting when it happened, though. And the Cardinals lack of response -- either in the context of the baseball or the extra curriculars -- fell flat.
Dylan Crews is officially back in the majors with Washington, forcing fantasy managers to weigh if he is worth a potential add. Joe Bond breaks down the fantasy impact of the latest roster shuffles, daily Buy/Sell/Drops, and a Chris Sale FanDuel Bet of the Day. The Nationals shake up their roster by bringing Dylan Crews back to the big leagues, while teammate James Wood steals the show with an inside-the-park grand slam. Meanwhile, Ryan Jeffers is slated to miss 6-to-8 weeks with a severe strain, and the Astros place Lance McCullers Jr. back on the IL. Jackson Holliday slides down to seventh in his season debut, while Gerrit Cole and Corbin Burnes lock in key weekend pitching milestones. Bo Bichette, Freddie Freeman, and Travis Bazzana lead a stacked group of daily studs. On the flip side, Christian Yelich and prospect Jac Caglianone land firmly in the dud column after frustrating performances at the dish. In this week's trading window, we look to buy low on elite talent like Fernando Tatis Jr. and Brandon Nimmo while cashing out high on Bryson Stott. Pitching won the week for the Milwaukee Brewers, who head to Chicago just 1 1/2 games out first place and chasing the team they're about to meet, the Cubs. Though the two losses of the week came in frustrating fashion, Milwaukee won back-to-back series against the Padres and Twins. Journal Sentinel Brewers writer Todd Rosiak and host JR Radcliffe look at Jacob Misiorowski's next-level dominance, Christian Yelich returning (then disappearing, then returning again), bullpen issues, Quinn Priester, Robert Gasser and the left side of the infield, where a couple prospects are knocking down the door while current Brewers continue to struggle. In Three Up Three Down (29:30), they discuss a meeting with a Wisconsinite pitcher, a Bob Uecker mural and lots of craziness down in Nashville. In Remembrew When (44:10), JR goes back to 2012 to examine a similar gut-punching loss to Wednesday's setback against San Diego, and in Todd's Take of the Week (49:15), a look ahead to the division leader on the schedule. Then, JR chats with relief pitcher Brian Fitzpatrick (53:00), who may have gotten sent down late in the week, but has emerged as a pleasant surprise as a player who wasn't even in big-league camp during spring training. He's the perfect case study of a player who dealt with college injuries became a diamond in the rough, then developed into a quality big-league option.
Trade for dominant starter Chase Burns immediately before his elite underlying metrics price you completely out of the market. Corey Pieper breaks down the top injury news, studs and duds, the Pitching Planner segment, and the FanDuel Bet of the Day. On the injury front, Chase Dollander is undergoing an MRI for right arm tightness, Christian Yelich faces a crucial Friday evaluation for a potential IL stint, and Logan Webb hopes to return from his knee injury in 10 days. In studs and duds, Chase Burns racked up 7 strikeouts in a scoreless gem, while Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jarren Duran headline a rough slate of cold bats failing to produce for fantasy managers this week. For the Pitching Planner, we map out the top priority starting pitching streams, high-upside weekend matchups, and bullpen arms you need to target to lock down your ratios. Brice Turang's Mother's Day walk-off homer provided a great capper to the weekend and added a dash of nostalgia to a Yankees sweep. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe also discuss the latest superstar performance from Jacob Misiorowski, a wild defensive decision by the Yankees and the triumphant return of Jackson Chourio and Andrew Vaughn to the lineup. What about the other injury guys like Brandon Woodruff, Christian Yelich and Quinn Priester? Is the team any closer to making a change at shortstop? With Ángel Zerpa facing Tommy John surgery, will the Brewers ever send another player to the World Baseball Classic? In Three Up Three Down (38:30), they discuss CC Sabathia on the wall of honor, an unwelcome flashback, some ABS weirdness and the king of vulture wins, Aaron Ashby. In Remembrew When (58:00), there's no choice but to discuss Bill Hall on Mother's Day, and in Curt Blanche (1:01:00), Curt believes there's a far greater Mother's Day homer that we never discuss. Then, JR is joined by Brewers reliever Jake Woodford (1:07:00), whose Major League debut was delayed in the strangest of ways, when he was holed up with the St. Louis Cardinals in Milwaukee's Pfister Hotel following a COVID-19 outbreak among the team. Then, he's joined by prospect Andrew Fischer (1:13:00), who hit two home runs on Sunday and continues to pound the ball for Single-A Wisconsin.
We welcome Kon Knueppel of the Charlotte Hornets & Christian Yelich of the Milwaukee Brewers on this week's episode of ‘The Young Man and the Three'!In this episode, they discuss the intricacies, similarities, and differences of becoming an NBA and MLB player, and what they think it takes to be a great pro — which was really interesting to hear given the dynamics of Kon just finishing his rookie season and Yelich being an MLB veteran. Kon discussed his background growing up in the Milwaukee area and Wisconsin as a basketball state, going to Duke, a new approach he took over the last year, and his thoughts on his impressive rookie season on the Hornets.Christian also discussed his background making it to the majors, his career on the Brewers, what he changed during his MVP season, his thoughts on the new MLB rules (pitch clock & ABS), Shohei Ohtani, getting thrown out of games, and much more.Let's go!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

The Brewers got swept at home by the Nationals in their new City Connects. They pushed the losing streak to six games after losing game one to the Blue Jays, before taking the last two games, both in 2-1 victories. Christian Yelich is expected to miss some time, and the bullpen struggled, but hear about the guys who were hot at the plate and in the rotation!
Jeff Blair and Kevin Barker bring in Vancouver's mayor, Ken Sim (13:50), to chat about how far along the city is in their plan to bid for an MLB franchise, why he is pushing for a bid now, the Vancouver market's interest, and the council's role in the bid. Then, Milwaukee Brewers TV play-by-play voice Brian Anderson joins the guys (32:49) to weigh in on the fans booing their pitcher Trevor Megill, the team's history of postseason berths, Jake Bauers and Gary Sánchez's presence in the clubhouse, Christian Yelich's injury, and if William Contreras has become the perfect catcher for the Brewers. Will Richard Fitts be healthy enough to help the Cardinals this year? The Injury Expert Will Carroll joined the Big Show to discuss the latest Cardinals injuries, Juan Soto and Christian Yelich dealing with ailments, and the Astros taking several hits to their pitching staff.
The Brewers had a brutal week, suffering a five-game losing streak for the first time since mid-2023 and playing some of those games in jerseys that nobody seems to like. The pitchers are struggling, particularly in the bullpen. Christian Yelich left Sunday's game ominously. The defense has been suspect. The hitting has been suspect. The Brewers have gone from 8-2 to barely above .500, and that was against teams that were ostensibly struggling. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe go through the ugliness, from bullpen usage to dropped velocity to a dearth of options to fix the offense. And what is WITH those City Connect jerseys, anyway? In Three Up Three Down (38:00), they discuss Willson Contreras, promising work from Jacob Misiorowski, the excellent Jake Bauers experience and a brief first big-league appearance from Shane Drohan. In Remembrew When (58:30), JR looks back at a memorable Phil Garner moment in a week where two ex-managers died: Garner and Davey Lopes. Curt Blanche (1:02:30) discusses one of baseball's cathedrals. Then, JR chats with new starting pitcher Kyle Harrison (1:07:00) about his tweaked repertoire, his California upbringing, a high-school teammate also employed by the Brewers and his grandfather, once teammates in Milwaukee with Hank Aaron.
Paul Williamson dives into some key news from the weekend, including injuries to Christian Yelich, Tatsuya Imai, Jeremy Pena as well as progress updates on Zack Wheeler and Trey Yesavage. He then discusses some of the games hottest and coldest hitters, including why Luis Robert Jr. is his top early season buy and why Oneil Cruz is his top early season sell. Pete B and Jergy are back breaking down an electric opening week of baseball—and the Milwaukee Brewers are already making noise. The Crew jump out to a blazing 5-1 start, sweeping the White Sox and taking a series from the Rays. The Miz was dealing, Christian Yelich delivered an iconic walk-off moment, and the Brewers bullpen looks just as dominant as advertised. The guys size up the rest of the NL Central and where Milwaukee stands early in the divisional race, then take a trip around the diamond to highlight who's hot (and who's not) across Major League Baseball after Week 1.Plus, we debut two new weekly segments:
Brewers reporter Todd Rosiak and host JR Radcliffe discuss a thrilling season-opening series that ended with a late rally and a Christian Yelich moon shot March 29. They discuss another key hand injury, this time to Andrew Vaughn, the rough debut of Brandon Sproat, a surprise debut and opportunity for Jeferson Quero and the very 2025 way that the Brewers have collected three quick wins in 2026. The bullpen might be seriously legit. Could Joey Ortiz be able to take a leap this year? Plus: Three Up Three Down is back, looking at a surprising ex-Brewer making an historic start with a new team, plus David Hamilton, Jared Koenig and Luis Rengifo. Remembrew When re-winds 40 years for a similar start to the year (complete with a thrilling homer), and Todd's Take of the Week examines some promising changes on the TV broadcast front.
The news has been so limited from Brewers camp that JR recorded this while watching the Oscars and Curt while watching the World Baseball Classic. Is no news good news? Or should there be some alarm that the Brewers have some of the same question marks they had last year? How concerned should we be about Quinn Priester's injury? What's been going on with Christian Yelich? Is Andrew Fischer going to be here sooner than we think? For crying out loud, is this roster already set? Then, JR chats with Milwaukee author and historian Matt Prigge (43:30), who discusses what Brewers opening day means in Milwaukee, some of the highlights from opening day and some opening-day Brewers facts you may not have known. The Brewers will open the season March 26 at home against the White Sox.
Vinny Rottino, Brewers TV analyst joined Ramie Mahklouf and Brandon Sneide to talk through some of the spring training concerns with the starting rotation. Plus, Christian Yelich made his debut and showed out, but what has changed in his game? The guys discuss.
The Brewers’ future might already be here — and it’s exciting. Dan Kasper and Brandon break down Milwaukee’s biggest spring training storylines, including Tyler Black’s push for a roster spot, Bryce Turang’s continued offensive growth, and whether Jackson Chourio could realistically reach 30 home runs and 30 stolen bases this season. They also dive into Christian Yelich’s 20/20 potential, William Contreras’ bounce-back outlook, and why this young Brewers core may outperform national expectations. Is this roster built for another postseason run? Or could it be even better than that? Unscripted. Unfiltered. Just Man Cave talk.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Send a textWhat if the true edge in baseball isn't in a spreadsheet but in a heartbeat? We sit down with baseball lifer Mike Berger to unpack a scouting philosophy built on live looks, instincts, and the human elements analytics can't quite capture. From the moment a prospect's poise surfaces under pressure to the quiet ways chemistry binds a clubhouse, Berger explains why the best scouts either agree with the model—or beat it.The stories run deep. We relive the under-the-radar chain reaction that brought Michael McKenry to Pittsburgh for $50,000 and later turned Jason Grilli from “washed up” to All-Star. We walk the shared halls of Three Rivers, connecting Steelers and Pirates lore, and trace Berger's family imprint on the franchise's identity—from the skull-and-crossbones to the smiling pirate inspired by Frank Gifford and a grandmother's babushka. Culture matters, he argues, because it shapes standards long before the first pitch.Leadership takes center stage through vivid moments: Adam Wainwright setting up a newcomer's locker and handing him the pregame meeting, a masterclass in humility and clarity. Then comes Barry Bonds—his interview as a hitting coach, his glove-to-barrel timing lesson born from Bobby Bonds, and the ripple effects on Stanton, Ozuna, and a soon-to-explode Christian Yelich. Berger makes the case that modern staffs win with range: the truth-teller who says it once with precision and the grinder who shows up at noon for flips and stays until the last swing. If you care about scouting, player development, and what really makes a team hum, this is your blueprint—equal parts Pittsburgh pride, clubhouse wisdom, and practical tools you can feel. After 97 wins, crazy winning streaks and a win over the Cubs in the NLDS, the Brewers season came to an end after four frustrating games against the Dodgers. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe discuss whether or not the Brewers could have done anything against the high-powered (and high-cost) Dodgers rotation. If so, what was it? Why did they look so out of sorts? What roster moves could have precluded this from being such a blowout? What's up with Christian Yelich? Could this result really cause a greater likelihood of a work stoppage in 2027? There were some bright spots, namely Jacob Misiorowski, as well as Jake Bauers, Caleb Durbin and Jackson Chourio, not to mention an unreal double play in Game 1 that we'll never see again. They briefly discuss some future roster decisions, particularly Freddy Peralta ... will he get traded this offseason?
Grant reacts to the Brewers tough G1 against the Dodgers, and Christian Yelich's lack of pop. Mike Clemens shares the latest from Green Bay. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The Brewers achieved a franchise-record 97 victories, the best record in baseball and the top seed for the upcoming playoffs, and now comes a week of waiting before the division series begins. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe explore the questions surrounding the postseason like which matchup -- Cubs or Padres -- would be better for Milwaukee and what questions stand out when it comes to the postseason roster. Will Jacob Misiorowski be on it? What about Rhys Hoskins? Does the offense's struggles in September portend anything at all? What happened to Isaac Collins? Also, please forgive the slap-happy hosts recording after a 40-40 Packers tie. In Three Up Three Down (42:35), we've got managers flipping pancakes, Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich at leadoff. In Remembrew When, JR looks back at a different wild day of season finales (59:00). In Curt Blanche (1:04:45), Curt takes the playoff format to task, and JR offers a take you probably didn't expect. Then, JR is joined by Sal Frelick (1:13:45) who, among other topics, discusses his crazy home run from the 2024 playoffs. Music intro from bensound.com. Musical cues (in order): "I Got What You Want" (Extended Version) by Gloria Tells, "Arriving at Dusk" by American Legion and "Screaming Fool" by Andreas Dahlback, all from www.epidemicsound.com.
The Brewers swept the Pirates and pulled closer to their goals, where it appears a playoff berth and first-round playoff bye are looking inevitable. Brewers reporter Curt Hogg and host JR Radcliffe explore the severity of the recent rash of bullpen injuries (and Christian Yelich), the likelihood of Quinn Priester as the No. 2 starter in the playoffs, the breakthrough performance by Jacob Misiorowski on Sunday and what type of extension would make sense for white-hot second baseman Brice Turang, who has become one of the team's most indispensable bats. Will Jake Bauers make the playoff roster? Is Brandon Woodruff all the way back? In Three Up Three Down (35:15), they ponder the elusive concept of the check swing, Aaron Civale's new landing spot and a late-season promotion for Jesús Made. In Remembrew When (53:15), George Scott hits a homer to break up a 1975 no-hitter with one batter to get. In Curt Blanche (58:15), Curt yells at clouds as football returns. Then, JR sits down with Brewers reliever Craig Yoho (1:06:00), whose role in the bullpen could get a bump after the rash of injuries. They discuss his crazy injury history -- including Tommy John surgery before he even became a pitcher, the development of his changeup, his unusually small signing bonus and his quick journey to the big leagues. Music intro from bensound.com. Musical cues (in order): "I Got What You Want" (Extended Version) by Gloria Tells, "Arriving at Dusk" by American Legion and "Screaming Fool" by Andreas Dahlback, all from www.epidemicsound.com.
Kyle Tucker was in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 15, playing in an unforgettable MLB All-Star Game. Just over a month later, Tucker finds himself headed to the bench amidst a cacophony of boos. The All-Star has not been putting up All-Star type numbers. He has been hitting a dismal .160 average in August and has not hit a home run since July 19. Tucker hopes to hit a reset and figure a way out of the slump from the dugout as the Cubs, who currently lead the NL Wild Card race, look to make a push for the postseason. Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman discuss the lead-up to this benching and how Tucker and the Cubs can figure out a way forward. “I've never seen anything like this from a Brewers team” is a strong statement, especially coming from Milwaukee Brewers and Turner Sports broadcaster, Brian Anderson. Anderson joins the show and chats with Jake and Jordan about the magical season the Brewers are having thus far. What is it about this team that makes them different from everyone else? Anderson talks about what he is seeing out of Brewers' manager Pat Murphy and how he has seen him change over time. The three also discuss Brewers' associate manager Ricky Weeks and how vital he is to the team's success. Finally, they discuss Christian Yelich and the leadership role he now plays in the clubhouse.Later on in the show, the guys fill you in on what is happening Around The League. In Toronto, Shane Bieber is preparing to return on Friday from his 2024 UCL tear, and subsequent Tommy John surgery. Plus, Seattle Mariner Victor Robles has been suspended 10 games from his bat-throwing incident. Craig Sandlin and Cory Phillips discuss the Milwaukee Brewers extending their franchise-record winning streak to 14 games, defeating the Cincinnati Reds 6-5 in a thrilling 11-inning contest at Great American Ball Park. The Reds took an early 2-0 lead in the first with home runs from Spencer Steer and Noelvi Marte off Brewers starter Quinn Priester. Milwaukee responded, tying the game in the fourth on Christian Yelich's single and Sal Frelick's sacrifice fly. The Reds surged ahead 4-2 in the sixth with Ke'Bryan Hayes' solo homer and an error-aided run. The Brewers rallied in the ninth, tying it at 4-4 with William Contreras' single and Brice Turang's sacrifice fly. In the 10th, Jackson Chourio's solo homer off Joe La Sorsa gave Milwaukee a 5-4 lead. Trevor Megill secured his 30th save, despite a Reds threat. Yelich went 2-for-4, continuing his hot streak. Reds starter Zack Littell pitched six innings, allowing two runs, but defensive errors by Gavin Lux and T.J. Friedl proved costly. The Reds, now 64-60, fell further in the NL Wild Card race, while the Brewers improved to 78-44, solidifying their NL Central lead.
