Fantasy Baseball Live – November 9, 2025 – 3:00 pmMicrosoft Teams:Segment 1 – News and Notes1.Munetaka Murakami was officially posted over the weekend and has 45 days to sign.a.Give us a scouting reportb.Where are the best landing spots for him?2.The Rockies change leadership at the top, bringing in long-time executive Paul DePosta, who most recently was head of strategy for the Cleveland Browns of the NFL. I got to know him a bit in that role, and he's a super-smart, thoughtful guy, but I worry the Rockies are a “bridge too far” for anyone.a.Your thoughts?3.The Rays decline the $11 million option on Pete Fairbanks, and he is now a free agent.a.Of course they did. Fairbanks was solid, bordering on elite in 2025, with 27 saves and a 2.83 ERA.i.Who does he sign with?ii.And more importantly, who is the closer in Tampa?4.Shane Bieber surprises by exercising his option, staying with the Blue Jays.a.He turned down a huge payday to stay with the Blue Jays. Is there a long-term deal in the making?5.Trevor Story is staying put in Bostona. After his huge season in 2025, where he hit 25 home runs and stole 31 bases, is he a safe bet for a number #1 shortstop in 2026, or are you going to bypass him in drafts given his injury history?6.The Orioles acquire Andrew Kittredge, and I'm assuming he will be their closer with Felix Bautista missing the 2026 season.a.He's a Top _____________ closer for you in 2026Segment 2 – Fantasy Questions of the AL Central – Tigers, Royals, and TwinsDetroit Tigers1.When do we see Kevin McGonigle? – July 15a.Stat line for 2026 – AB, HR, BA – 240 AB, 10 HR, .265 BA2.Spencer Torkelson has had 31 home runs in the past three years, with a 10-home-run clunker in the middle. The even/odd theory says expect a tough season. The data says he has above-average exit velo, but a huge leverage swing to reach his power, and too many strikeouts (26%).a.What say you?3.Casey Mize finally had a solid season after going 1:1 in 2018. He posted a 3.87 ERA (xERA 3.69) but with only an 8.4 strikeout rate. a.Mize is a top ___________ pitcher.b.Where will you be interested if he falls in drafts, or will you?4.Will Vest get at least 25 saves next season – true or false?5.Give me a sleeper in the organization (minor or majors)Kansas City Royals1.Bobby Witt hit the ball harder in 2025 with an elite exit velo of 93.3 MPH with the same launch angle, yet he only hit 23 home runs. That makes no sense to me.a.I'm expecting 30+ home runs next season. What say you?2.Carter Jensen is my #1 prospect in the Royals system. Sal Perez is on a team-friendly 13.5 million contract extension. How many at-bats do you see Jensen getting?a.Is he someone who interests you?3.Jack Caglianonea.Stat line for 2026 – AB, HR, BA – 32 HRs, .195 BA4.Cole Ragans didn't live up to his lofty draft slot, but also spent three months on the IL. The power wasn't there though as he only hit 13 home runs and a .388 SLG. He still hits the ball hard enough with plenty of loft to project at least 20 to 25 home runs.a.Do we see a bit of a bounce back?b.Does it matter because we know he's going to get hurt?3.Pablo Lopez has two years remaining on his four-year deal with $21.75 million per season. Is he a Twin to start the season?a.If not, where does he go?4.Zebby Matthews – sigha.Stat line for 2026 – IP, wins, K's, and ERA.5.Give me a sleeper in the organization (minor or majors)Close

Firstly, let's get one this straight - Cam Schlittler is illiterate. He can not read, he can not write, and he can not stop getting cooked by fans. That's right folks, Cam Schlitter used AI to write an apology to the city he was raised in. It's a very common thing for absolute clowns to do. Lucas Giolito and the Boston Red Sox are in agreement on declining their mutual option. The Boston Red Sox did not extend Giolito a qualifying offer. It's a shame, he would have been such a wonderful 60-day IL. Trevor Story, on the other hand, opts in to the remaining two years of his deal. We're happy about it. The off-season started by needing all four infield positions filled, now you only need three. We will welcome Trevor Story with open arms! At second base! Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Will opens by noting it's a packed sports week with the NHL rolling, the NBA beginning, the NFL playoff picture taking shape, and the Blue Jays-Dodgers World Series about to begin. He reports that Trevor Story is expected to opt in with the Red Sox out of loyalty after the team supported him through injuries, and argues Story is essential to their 2026 hopes. He gives the Dodgers a slight edge in the World Series but says Toronto is dangerous because they're playing with “house money” and have a whole country behind them. He reflects on Brad Marchand's return to Boston as a Panther as the emotional end of the 25-year Boston sports dynasty era. He recaps Cooper Flagg's NBA debut and frames him — with Victor Wembanyama — as part of the league's next generation. He ends by reading an ESPN report about FBI arrests of Chauncey Billups, Terry Rozier, and Damon Jones in an illegal sports betting and poker-fixing investigation.

The Boston Red Sox are out of the playoffs after another painful October exit, and the New England Patriots just flipped the AFC conversation with a dramatic 23-20 Monday Night Football win in Buffalo. Rayshawn and Mike go all in on both stories, giving you the most detailed breakdown of where Boston sports stand and what comes next. We open with the Red Sox collapse against the New York Yankees, dissecting every mistake and missed opportunity. Game 2 was defined by defensive breakdowns and costly fielding errors that flipped momentum. Boston’s lineup struck out 12 times in the clincher, exposing a top-heavy order that couldn’t produce in clutch moments. Garrett Crochet gave the team a chance on the mound, but questionable bullpen decisions — including Connelly Early’s quick hook — raised eyebrows. We debate whether the Rafael Devers trade, made to reshape the lineup, ended up hurting the team in this short series, and what it says about Boston’s long-term strategy. Then we take on the Alex Cora question head-on. Is he still the right manager to lead this roster forward, or is a reset overdue? From there, we map out a full offseason blueprint. Boston needs more than tweaks — they need cornerstone moves. We spotlight free-agent and trade targets like Kyle Tucker, Kyle Schwarber, and Pete Alonso, each of whom would immediately transform the lineup’s power and consistency. We also break down key internal decisions: how Jarren Duran’s speed and upside factor into their future plans, whether Wilyer Abreu should be part of the team’s core or trade bait, and how Trevor Story’s health and defense could stabilize the infield. We discuss why Roman Anthony’s development is crucial and why the bullpen must be rebuilt with reliable depth and a clear closer to anchor late-inning leads. The Red Sox can’t afford another “bridge year.” This offseason must be aggressive, decisive, and focused on competing in 2026. Then we shift to football, where Drake Maye’s breakout game has the Patriots fan base buzzing. In just his fifth career start, Maye went toe-to-toe with Josh Allen and came out on top, delivering clutch throws in high-pressure moments and showing major growth in pocket presence and decision-making. Stefon Diggs proved why he’s still a top-tier wide receiver, posting another 100-yard performance and opening up the offense for others. Hunter Henry continues to shine as a reliable red-zone weapon, while rookie running back Treyvion Henderson showed why he could become a cornerstone piece of the offense. We break down how offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has adjusted the scheme around Maye’s strengths and what that means for the rest of the season. Looking ahead, we discuss how New England must take advantage of Maye’s rookie contract window, why finding a legitimate WR2 is a top priority, and which players — like A.J. Brown or Chris Olave — could be ideal trade or free-agent targets. We also preview the Week 6 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, a classic trap game that could derail the team’s momentum if they’re not prepared. With a young franchise quarterback, an elite receiver, and a defense that can still compete, the Patriots are building something real — and this win in Buffalo could be the moment that turns their season around. The Red Sox saw their playoff run end at Yankee Stadium with back-to-back losses, capped by a decisive shutout in Game 3. Defensive miscues and missed chances proved costly, while Alex Cora offered candid reflections on how his young team battled through the year. From Connelly Early's first postseason start to veterans like Alex Bregman and Trevor Story weighing in, the clubhouse opened up about the sting of falling short, the lessons of 2025, and the optimism for what's ahead.
