Longtime Minnesota sportswriter Kevin Seifert of ESPN and one-time local colleague of Nestor covering the Orioles back in the 1990s returns to Baltimore for a primer on the mystery of quarterback J.J. McCarthy and the belief Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has in him to lead the franchise. Plenty of purple knowledge in the this one. Welcome into a Friday edition of Glenn Clark Radio, lots to do on the program as we get you set for the weekend, we'll recap the week that was with Stan ‘The Fan' Charles who will be in studio with us as always on Fridays, get Stan's impressions of Craig Albernaz after his introductory press conference this week and also react to some of the quotes from both Orioles' President of Business Operations Mike Elias and Owner David Rubenstein. We'll also get you set for the Ravens matchup with the Vikings, tell you everything you need to know before Sunday as we catch up with ESPN's Steve Levy at 11:30am, who will be in Minneapolis and on the call for ESPN Radio on Sunday afternoon! And before we send you off this weekend, we'll also catch up with Vikings WR Tai Felton as we talk to the former Terp about his rookie NFL season, playing with Justin Jefferson and so much more!
Earlier this week Jerry Coleman asked David Rubenstein about a potential payroll increase for the Orioles. The owner said there are no financial constraints and they will do whatever it takes to field a great team. Are you buying that?
The Orioles need a closer and a setup reliever this offseason. Who should they target in free agency? Nolan offered a few realistic options .
There have been trade rumors surrounding both Tarik Skubal and Hunter Green recently. Which one would you rather see the Orioles go after?
The guys fire up the livestream to at long last discuss some Orioles baseball following the dawn of a new era at Camden Yards. The 2025 season was one that was unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, from a miserable start in the opening few months, the in-season firing of Brandon Hyde as a result of it, and the painful (and ultimately unsuccessful) attempt at clawing their way back into playoff contention. Since then, the O's saw a division rival once again represent the AL in the World Series in a seven game set that was won by a Dodgers team who look miles ahead of where Baltimore needs to be in just about every facet of the game. They've now hired a new manager in Craig Albernaz who looks and sounds every bit the part of the guy who can get this group of talent back to where they need to be; but as we've learned in Birdland this calendar year, talk is cheap. In Albernaz' opening press conference, he, Mike Elias, and David Rubenstein said all the right things regarding what it will take to turn things around. Can they do it? Only time will tell. As a wise man once said at the end of another extremely difficult Orioles season, "you just... don't... know." Thanks as always for tuning in, and we'll be back at you very soon! Time for a Thursday edition of Glenn Clark Radio, we'll begin getting you ready for the weekend and a busy sports weekend ahead it is as the Ravens will be taking on the Vikings in Minnesota, Navy challenging a top 10 Notre Dame team, the Terps search for that elusive 5th win and much more. We'll talk about our first impressions of new Ravens DE Dre'mont Jones from yesterday, continue reacting to the introduction of Orioles new manager Craig Albernaz and so much more. It's a Thursday, so that means we will be making our picks with the help of Ken Zalis as we talk Ravens, Navy, and much more!
National baseball reporter for the Washington Post Chelsea Janes joined the show to discuss the Orioles introductory presser for Craig Albernaz.
The guys discuss what free agents they think the Orioles should and will be interested in.
The Orioles are reportedly adding Leody Taveras to their outfield for the upcoming season on a $2 million deal. Bob and Nolan don't view this as a needle-moving signing. What will the outfield end up looking like in 2026? Could Colton Cower be moved to center field?
Austin Hays is now a free agent after having his mutual option declined by Cincinnati. Would you entertain the idea of him coming back to Baltimore?
In the third hour, Mike Mulligan and David Haugh discussed the NFC playoff picture. After that, Jon Heyman of the New York Post and MLB Network joined the show to reflect on the World Series and to preview the MLB offseason, which will include Cubs right fielder Kyle Tucker hitting free agency. Later, Mully and Haugh discussed the Cubs' trade of reliever Andrew Kittredge to the Orioles for cash considerations.
Andy begins with the Nationals and Orioles both introducing their new young managers to the media. (16:57) Mike Locksley doesn't blame the fans for the "fire Locksley" chants during the Indiana game. Welcome into a Would You Rather Wednesday edition of Glenn Clark Radio, lots to cover on the program as the NFL trade deadline came and went yesterday with some rather bombastic moves made across the league as the Jets cleaned house on their defense and the Ravens don't make any further move after the acquisition of DE Dre'Mont Jones from the Titans on Monday. We'll react to all the fallout of the deadline, how we feel about the moves the Ravens did make, the moves they didn't make and also dive into big takeaways from the Orioles introductory press conference of new Manager Craig Albernaz yesterday. It's a Wednesday so that means Drew Forrester of DrewsMorningDish.com will be in, we'll talk Ravens, NFL trade deadline, Orioles and of course play some Would You Rather with Drew. At 11:45am, we'll head out to Minnesota to preview the Vikings when we check in with former Ravens WR and now Vikings radio host Ron Johnson as we get ready for the Ravens matchup Sunday in Minneapolis. Plus, we're going to catch up with Ravens FB Patrick Ricard before we get out today as we talk to Pat all about being back from injury, what it means to string together a couple wins and how the Ravens will keep it going as the season progresses!
In the third hour of Inside Access, the guys discuss what impact Craig Albernaz could have for the Orioles. They also talk about what the rest of the AFC North did at the trade deadline and are joined by Kevin Seifert and Ryan Ripken.
Orioles writer for the Baltimore Banner Jon Meoli joined the show to discuss his takeaways from introductory press conference for Craig Albernaz.
BBT analyst Ryan Ripken joins the show to discuss his expectations for the Orioles offseason.
Bob Haynie looks back on the best moments from November 5th in Baltimore sports history, including an award for the greatest Orioles pitcher of all time.
David Rubenstein says the Orioles won't have any financial constraints this offseason. Nolan McGraw is responding by saying "show me." History shows that those who try to find bargains and value are left in the dust while the top ten spenders routinely make the World Series.

This week, the Baltimore Orioles will welcome the next manager since Joe Altobelli to attempt to bring a World Series title to Camden Yards. Luke Jones and Nestor discuss the glorious October playoff run and a legendary 2025 World Series between the Dodgers and Blue Jays – and look to the Orioles offseason with real expectations for the unexpected with money and deals. Ed, Rob, and Jeremy took some time from Tuesday's BBMS to discuss the Orioles' decision not to pick up Jorge Mateo's option for 2026, making him a free agent. Do you agree with the team's decision?
Time for a Tuesday edition of Glenn Clark Radio, a busy show ahead as we react to the Ravens making another trade yesterday as they deal for Titans DE Dre'Mont Jones, opening night in college basketball, the Orioles officially introducing Craig Albernaz as manager and so much more. We'll start with the Ravens at 11:15am as we catch up with PressBox Ravens beat reporter Bo Smolka as we do every Tuesday, we'll get his thoughts on the TNF over the Dolphins last week, look ahead to Sunday in Minnesota vs the Vikings and the chances we see any more trades before the 4pm deadline after the Dre'Mont Jones acquisition yesterday. Then at 11:35am, we will check in with the Naval Academy and their Senior Snipe Brandon Chatman as we dive into Navy football's 7-1 start, and how they're going to bounce back against Notre Dame this Saturday night. At 12:05pm, we are going to head down to College Park and check in with Maryland Men's Soccer Head Coach Sasho Cirovski as the Terps are still unbeaten to this point in the season with one regular season game remaining before the Big Ten Tournament. Plus, it's a Tuesday so we'll talk some Fantasy Football with PressBox Fantasy Analyst Joe Serpico at 12:20pm to see who we need to be adding off the Waiver-Wire this week in order to make a playoff push!
The Orioles have declined Jorge Mateo's $5.5 million option for the 2026 season, but could still bring him back at a cheaper price. Is this truly the end of his tenure with the O's?
The Orioles were one of the most banged up teams in baseball this past summer, but that was just one piece of their dysfunctional puzzle. Bob and Nolan aren't happy to hear David Rubenstein harp on the same injury talking points.
As expected Tyler O'Neill has opted into the remining two years of his contract with the Orioles. Some fans want the team to just cut bait and move on, but Nolan McGraw says the O's might be so desperate for outfield depth that he ends up staying.
New Orioles manager Craig Albernaz spoke with the local media for the first time on Tuesday morning. Bob and Nolan reacted to some of the most notable comments, including Albernaz's thoughts on the use of analytics.
It's over! The Dodgers have won. The Orioles get to put an abysmal 2025 fully behind them. Hope abounds as a new offseason rolls in.... so like can the Orioles sign Dylan Cease today???? Unfortunately, no. But! YOU can listen to this podcast and get a primer on what important dates are coming our way in the early-going here, and how the O's are impacted by each. The World Series is over, and what a Series it was! The Dodgers stormed back from down 3-2 in the series and 4-1 in Game 7 to win in 11 innings. It was a Will Smith solo HR in the 11th and 2.2 shutout innings in relief from Yoshinobu Yamamoto a day after throwing 96 pitches that led the Dodgers to their second straight title and third since 2020. For the rest of us, it means the offseason can start in earnest as free agency begins Thursday. The Orioles have their new manager, inking former Cleveland Guardians Associate Manager Craig Albernaz as the 21st manager in franchise history. What's next for Birdland? Andrew Stetka joins Paul to discuss that and more on The Bat Around!
Tony opens the show by talking about how he spent his morning on Thursday, and he also talks about Prince Andrew being forced to relinquish his titles and home, and he talks to Michael and Nigel about what to expect in Game 6 of the World Series. Jason La Canfora calls in to talk about what we learned from the Ravens' win over the Dolphins on Thursday night, and also about the Orioles' new manager. James Carville calls in to talk about the LSU situation and he also makes his weekly picks, Jeff Ma calls in to talk about playing at Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, and he gives his picks as well, and Tony closes out the show by opening up the Mailbag.
