I had the privilege of meeting Sue Beer from The EFT Centre during an EFT Training Course, alongside Emma Roberts, both esteemed Master EFT Practitioners. Conducting this interview was an extraordinary blessing. Sue and I delved into the pervasive issue of addiction in our society. Personally, I understand the allure of using food to regulate my mood due to my medication. However, for many, addiction manifests in far graver ways. In this episode of This Healing Feeling, we explore how EFT, as a self-care tool, can aid the recovery journey from addiction. Can the Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT - help and support a healing journey? In this episode with Emma Roberts of the EFT Centre. Emma will introduce you to EFT, explain how it can be used to support health and healing as well as do a demonstration with me. One, that you can join in with at home. I stumbled upon EFT, or the Emotional Freedom Technique, much later in life than I had anticipated, especially considering my susceptibility to stress, which feels as debilitating as kryptonite. Yet, upon discovery, I found EFT to be an invaluable self-help tool, readily accessible once you understand its mechanics. It has the remarkable ability to diminish the emotional intensity of various situations, worries, and challenges. For individuals confronting health issues, EFT can serve as a powerful ally, offering support throughout their illness and aiding in their journey toward recovery. Sue Beer and Emma Roberts Sue Beer and Emma Roberts are the co-founders of The iEFT Centre and the originators and pioneers of Integrated Energy Techniques (IET), bringing together energy psychology and the very best ways of working with Ericksonian Hypnosis, NLP, Coaching, Cognitive Psychotherapy and Psycho-spiritual approaches. Their combined backgrounds have proven to be a very strong foundation within which the newer breakthrough approaches of energy psychology continue to grow and develop. Sue and Emma were also two of the first ten practitioners in the world to be awarded the title EFT Master by Gary Craig. They are the authors of Healing the Addicted Heart (Sue Beer) and Even Though I Have Cancer... (Emma Roberts). Social Anxiety Solutions - your journey to social confidence!
“There are various stages of transformation, which have an order to them” The words of Sue Beer, who is an originally trained in psychodynamic psychotherapist, an experienced Hypnotherapist, NLP Master Practitioner, EFT Founding Master and AAMET Master Trainer of Trainers. Sue shares how to get started with big change so that you maintain your motivation. She shares how to go from despair to hopeful. She explains the difference between “white knuckling change” (using ongoing will-power) versus true transformation. She says: We get what we focus on. Beliefs are not truths and they haven’t come out of thin air. They don’t just descend on us. We attach to them usually as a consequence of a decision we make when something happens to us. These beliefs are not what we really are. But as long as we hold on to them we get what we're expecting. We attract people who kind of confirm and give us evidence that we’re not good enough. She shares in this interview the one thing you should focus on to make the biggest change that lasts. QUOTE: "Can we change our identity? YES! Everything that is connected to what we believe is only appearing to be real because we believe it, so we can change it." Interview with Emma Roberts from the EFT Centre by Tania A Prince. Emma is an expert in the use of EFT with Cancer. She is the author of a leading book that deals with the emotional aspects of cancer using EFT. The interview discusses how Emma has used EFT to deal with the symptoms of conventional cancer therapy. We also talk about how EFT can be used to deal with the emotions of being diagnosed with cancer. Guest: Emma Roberts Contact: WEB www.theeftcentre.com EMAIL theeftcentre@googlemail.com PHONE + 44 208 348 5305 About: Emma's greatest wish is to see the tapping and other Energy Psychologies fully integrated and accepted within the medical field, as a powerful additional healing aid. With her work with cancer patients and also those with fertility issues she is beginning to see her dream coming into fruition as increasingly she works alongside mainstream health practitioners who embrace EFT as a valuable adjunct to their practices. Her background is in Ericksonian Clinical Hypnotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) and Psychology, but in the last decade she has become increasingly fascinated by the newly emerging field of Energy Psychology, and in particular the tapping techniques. Her interest in any form of therapy has always been result based, if something seems to work she wants to know more. This led her on a journey to becoming an EFT Master in 2005. Emma and Sue Beer are co-founders of The EFT Centre in London where they offer an extensive range of training programmes alongside AAMET practitioner courses, designed to take EFT to the next level. They are pioneers of Integrated Energy Techniques, and offer a multi-modality diploma in IET that includes NLP practitioner certification. They both also have successful private practices in London.
On some level most people who smoke really want to quit. Even though the will to change is strong in the larger context of their lives, it is really hard to motivate change in the moment because "one cigarette won't kill me." Usually smoking isn't the core problem, but symptomatic of a larger issue. In this interview Sue Beer and I talk about how we can use EFT to stop smoking.
