I recorded this episode when everyone was hoarding gas. After I pulled up to the gas pump and witnessed car after car filling up their tank and multiple jugs, I had to roll my eyes, but last year, I was guilty. We need to store up food, water, (not toilet paper in our house), and be prepared, but after my current devotion, I've changed my tune. It's the study of the Israelites as they wander through the desert. Miracle after miracle, God continuously shows up. Some moments are HUGE like the parting of the Red Sea and then there are the smaller miracles, ya know like just dropping manna from the sky, leading them by fire, and the list goes on and on, but they still choose to worry "What if God doesn't provide..." Listen, we can kick back and wonder why the Israelites would ever struggle with their faith after witnessing miracle after miracle, but then again looking at all His provided for you and me. The epiphany moment came when reading Exodus 16-Verse 17 "So the people of Israel did as they were told. Some gathered a lot, some only a little. Verse 18 But when they measured it out,[d] everyone had just enough. Those who gathered a lot had nothing left over, and those who gathered only a little had enough. Each family had just what it needed."Look at that! They had EXACTLY what they needed. Unfortunately, this provision wasn't enough. They decided to store up, even though God specifically said not too. When we try to control the situations, the circumstances, and "store up" more than we need, we aren't trusting God to show up and work miracles. Look back on all the times God has shown up in your life; trust that He will provide gas, toilet paper, Lysol, or whatever it may be, and then let Him do his thing! Letting go of the things you cannot control and giving it to God is where you'll find contentment and shed the anxiousness. Check out my podcast today!

Maybe you can't focus.Maybe you don't know how or what to even pray about. You feel like you've messed up things too much to even have a conversation with God.You're problems seem too small to bother Go with. You're problems seem too big and overwhelming to even try to process, let alone pray about. You don't know what words to say.Just going through the motions. You're so tired, you fall asleep. These are all the things I struggle with.I've found myself struggling this week. Of course, I'm listening to my Bible and reading my devotion, but the prayer, for some reason won't come out. I feel disconnected. I need to just pour it all out right now, but I'm struggling to focus, my mind drifts, and I'm so tired I fall asleep. Something I discovered a few months ago in a time that I didn't feel worthy enough to even say the name “Jesus” let alone ask for help, I found that writing my prayer was another way I could connect with Him. I borrowed one of Leighton's composition notebooks to write my prayer. I could pour out my heart with thankfulness, my pleads, and my request for forgiveness while the tears smeared the ink. Reflecting back on the answered prayers I wrote back in August and September are humbling and a reminder of God's grace and goodness.Whatever place you are in right now, don't let your mind convince you that God doesn't want to hear from you. However you have to make that happen, make it happen. Don't lose the connection with the One who is working everything for your good. #thedevildoesntwin Thanks so much for listening to today episode. Wake up & Smell the RosesGetting up early sucks, at least for a while until your body gets adjusted… and then time changes, in what 2 weeks?! Yay! INSERT EYE ROLL. Listen, I got so sick of my own shit that I had to make changes, big changes. I was wearing a whole lot of hats and only doing a half way job at anything. I was tired, stressed, I was staying sick, my body ached constantly, and that's how I started each and every day, until one day, I woke up and smelled the roses. It was time to either change my habits or accept the fact that I was just going to be sick and tired of being sick and tired until I died. Who wants that for life? Me personally, I'd rather do the hard shit now and reap the benefits later.I didn't need more hours in the day, as people so often suggest. I needed to take advantage of the hours that I have. We are all given the same 24 hours, it's just a matter of how we choose to spend them. Getting up early gave me those hours in quiet to accomplish things I hadn't accomplished before. In the quiet, I wasn't as anxious, I found I could actually think. Being alone with my thoughts was honestly a scary concept for me. Life was always so busy, so the idea of downtime and quiet time made me anxious, until I tired it. Sometimes, we need a little tap to the brakes of life. I could get things done that I was trying to accomplish once the kids were up or at night which took time away from being a wife and a mom. Checking it off my list while everyone was resting peacefully made me a much better human in their waking hours. I discovered that I quit yelling at my kids in the morning, rushing around, and feeling like my heart was going to pop out of my chest or my head was going to explode before I even got to work in the morning. I was ruining my own days, even weeks before they had started because of anxiousness, I was creating! Now by 7am, I have accomplished more than some people do in a whole day! I'm productive, I'm energized, and I have shit done and I'm ready to get more shit done. I don't leave the house stressed or exhausted! My mornings are pleasant and enjoyable with my kids! Let's get you there! Learn the benefits of waking up early and the baby-steps process to winning your morning. Be sure to listen to tomorrow's episode for helpful tips to help you wake up early and seize the day! You've got this! IG: lindsey.bolerFacebook: All the Things with Lindsey

Weeks like this can make you feel like you are a failure. Trying to balance work, kids, house chores can be overwhelming. All while thinking, man, I should be enjoying this. An idol mind is the devils playground. Nothing has to be perfect! Your kids do not need you there playing 100% of the time. The house doesn't have to be spotless. Laundry doesn't pile up if you do a little bit at a time. Work intentionally so you get it finished. Make a list, get it done! But do not let your mind trick you, make you feel guilty or like a failure. You are doing a great job! Walk to the mirror, look at yourself and say it, "I'm doing a good job. I've got this!"Be intention. If not, you will not be present. You will enjoy nothing. There's a mom out there that needed to hear that today! Looking at myself here! Podcast Episode coming soon! TRYING to get it released tonight
