Feels good to be posting again! Thank you for your patience. As you can tell by the title, this episode takes a deep dive into the conversation and experience of suicide and does share parts of the 19 years of my life living with a suicidal mindset. Extending the conversation beyond the picture that is and has been painted on suicide, expanding the awareness on what it is to go through this, the patterns, the projections, the outside influences that fed it, how it started and why it continued, etc. All discussed and will be continued in a part two of this episode. 'Expanding your awareness, is expanding your level of compassion and empathy for self and others' - A quote by yours truly.
Heyheyhey! Bit late but Happy 2023! Wishing nothing but a memorable one for all of you truly. I did record this on the 3rd of Jan, but this month projected some left over pizzaz from 2022 that I had to pizzaz it all back to 2022. I know it's definitely been a while since the last episode, that is something I discuss in today's episode. As well as discussions around 2022, the issues around mental health professionals, some of the challenges and issues I personally faced in 2022 like feeling purposeless, feeling nothingness, immense and deep anxiety of what I'm doing with my life, who I am. 2022 really was a hard hitter so I truly manifest a beautiful 2023 for us all. Enjoy the potential relation and the listen guys :) xoxo gossip girl.

As a child, a teen, you maybe still experience it as an adult, were you punished for dropping something? Spilling something? Making a mistake? And now potentially experience anxiety, triggered within a survival mode when you make a mistake, you quickly clean it up in a panic, to avoid the conflict. This is what I discuss in today's episode. Another cycle that's worth breaking.
You know when someone finally reaches a point where they feel confident and comfortable in their body, they put on that outfit they've always wanted to wear and go out on the town but then someone approach's them and says ‘it's ugly' or calls them a name, yeah that's called self projection from a self belief and that's what I'm discussing in today's episode! Enjoy the listen and a happy long weekend to us

On this episode of The Culture on Looking ‘Presentable', I wanted to discuss my personal understanding and opinions on what is considered presentable in the workplace and education system and why that is. Why do workplaces, schools, society in general view tattoos and coloured hair the way they do? Why it is considered unprofessional? How does a look actually effect the work ethic or a students place in a school? Why are we all slumped into a one look category of ‘neutral hair colour and clear skin'?. Is it really unprofessionally, does someone looking how they want to look really effect work ethic or is it all self preference and comforting the self preference of others?
Happy Sunday! In today's podcast, i turn the conversation to the harsh and condemning stigma on making mistakes and experiencing ‘failure' in life. Certain cultural backgrounds and their belief systems and society structures through this participate greatly in the continued decline in mental health.
For those that are unsure of the meaning of ‘hustle culture', this lifestyle teaches people that overworking is the only way to earn respect, whether it be from others or yourself. We are taught that if we are not putting every possible minute of the day into something productive, you do not have what it takes to be successful. Is hustle culture outdated? What are the damages and the cost to living like this? Why do we need to live this way? Or the real question we need to be asking ourselves, are we truly happy and content living within this culture?
