Throughout history, across cultures and in every walk of life, there have always been people with varied sexual attractions, or lack there of. Asexuality, in particular, has only been identified and studied since the early 20th century. People in the past did not have the concepts, terminology or relative freedom we have today. So those who might now identify as asexual had a limited understanding of what they were experiencing. This makes it difficult for historians to identify people from the past who may have been asexual. Sexual attractions and relationships of every variety often left evidence, like steamy love letters and reports from others. But a lack of sexual desire was much less likely to be expressed. Sexuality, particularly among royals and especially among women, was often not a matter of choice. Princes and Princesses had to marry and reproduce with whoever their parents told them to. In many cases, particularly when young princesses were wed to much older kings, their own desires were invalid. So unless they risked their lives by having an affair, we can't know if they were secretly lusting after the stable boy, the kitchen maid, or if they just wanted to be left alone to enjoy a slice of cake. As with all of my LGBTQIA+ videos, I am sensitive about outing people posthumously. These people are no longer able to tell us their own stories, and we must therefore rely on journals, letters and reports from others, which can't give us a complete picture. But despite the gaps in our knowledge, these people deserve to have their stories told. I think it is incredibly important for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities to see themselves represented in history and to know that they are not alone in the world or in time. And I have had many requests to do a video about ace royals from the past. So today let's meet 6 royals from history who's experiences and actions indicate that they may have been asexual. As the title suggests, today I'm spilling my guts. There's been a lot going on in my life—and in my brain—and it felt good to sit down and talk through some of it. We're chatting about a surprising first-time club experience in LA, some behind-the-scenes on a couple upcoming interviews, more beef with Mormon apologists, an addition to the crazy moving lore, and all the ways I'm starting to feel like a new person. The United Kingdom has a new Queen Consort, Camilla. She is the first Queen of England to have been born a commoner since Catherine Parr (1547). Since the Norman conquest in 1066, English and British Royals have almost exclusively married other royals, usually as part of treaties with powerful neighboring nations. Of the 42 royal consorts, 13 have been French, 8 German, 5 Spanish, 4 Danish, 1 Dutch, 1 Italian, 1 Portuguese and 1 Scottish. But on a few, rare occasions an English monarch put his heart (or his lust) before his head and chose instead to make an English woman his Queen. There have been 9 English Queens of England, one was a member of a rival branch of the English royal family. 2 were from noble families and 6 were commoners... In this episode of Tea with Dr. D, host James Q. Del Rosso delivers a solo “Spilling the Tea” segment that revisits oral isotretinoin through a longitudinal lens, connecting its early clinical foundations to present-day practice. Framing isotretinoin as a “winding road,” Dr Del Rosso reflects on its 1982 approval, early safety observations, and the evolution of risk management strategies, including the iPLEDGE program. While concerns around psychiatric effects, inflammatory bowel disease, and teratogenicity have shaped prescribing behaviors, he emphasizes that most patients tolerate therapy well when appropriately monitored. A central theme is the value of foundational knowledge. Dr Del Rosso highlights considerations that remain highly relevant, including dosing flexibility, relapse patterns, treatment duration, and importantly, the impact of absorption on outcomes. Conventional formulations require adequate dietary fat for optimal bioavailability, and suboptimal fat intake may contribute to perceived treatment failure or relapse. He also reviews evolving data on dosing strategies, noting that a range of daily doses can achieve clearance. The priority, however, is durability of response. Clinicians are encouraged to focus on cumulative exposure and to individualize therapy, extending duration or adjusting dose as needed to maintain clearance. Newer formulations, including lidose and micronized isotretinoin, may help mitigate variability in absorption and improve consistency, though access and cost remain considerations. Additional insights address relapse risk and the importance of evaluating possible underlying contributors such as androgen excess. Laboratory monitoring practices have also evolved, with a more streamlined approach focusing on key parameters like liver enzymes and triglycerides, alongside strict adherence to pregnancy prevention protocols. Ultimately, the episode reinforces that while isotretinoin prescribing has modernized in certain respects, many core principles remain unchanged. Thoughtful dosing, attention to absorption, and individualized management are essential to optimizing long-term outcomes. Tune in to the episode to revisit the clinical foundations of isotretinoin, refine your approach to dosing and duration, and learn practical strategies for improving treatment consistency and long-term acne clearance.

Real Spiritual Work Isn't Another Reading — It's Burning the Need for OneMany people seek out psychics for answers. However, as an intuitive reader, I find that the most insightful clients come to me with a more profound question.Whether it's an akashic reading or a channeled session, every interpretation is designed to help a client break free from the trance of fear and regain their sense of agency within their heart. They leave with a deep sense of knowing that they've received exactly what they needed for healing. The questions range from should I be with him? What is my life purpose in my second phase in life? Should I move? I know the list - as we are all seeking inner fulfilment and our belief in our worthiness in a hierarchal programmed world. And when I tap in? Your guides don't answer first — they chuckle and create teh image of the bigger picture and the root of the situation. Not because your question is silly. Because the real question underneath it is — why do you need to know? And if you're honest, it's because it doesn't feel safe to move without an answer first. Here's what most people miss. When you get the answer, you stop. You sit back. You stop working on trusting yourself. That's not healing. That's outsourcing.I know that you know. Your guides know that you know. It's already in your body. It just doesn't feel safe to access yet. That's the real conversation. This is exactly why I built The Light Between Oracle Journey that is completely custom to you for dialed in spiritual prbolem solving with 5 unique guides to gain perspectives through. The path is not to give you answers. To give you a daily practice for meeting the knowing that's already inside you.In addition, I serve clients via email readings with a HOLOGRAPHIC READING.IN THE END, when you seek support, or go alone….Ask yourself what you want to know. And why. Hold honest space there. Something interesting might come forward.Believe me, When you're stuck between “what I should do” and “what feels aligned,” the Oracle 5 layer path helps you choose one grounded next move. Open the Oracle app, choose a guide you'd like to explore with for your reading and take one action. If you desire a personalized one-question dire question, then I'll bring you into a deeper journey with a Holographic Reading. Charlemagne is a central figure in European history. In the 700s he conquered a vast empire. He is considered the progenitor of the French monarchy, several Germany dynasties and more. He even forced the Pope to crown him Holy Roman Emperor. But while Charlemagne was busy converting pagans to Christianity at sword point, his love life was far from holy. The great emperor had 4 or 5 wives, the relationship statues of one has long been debated for a very cruel reason. And at least 4 concubines. Many of his romantic entanglements were going on simultaneously. And the influence these women had on imperial politics shocked clerics of the day. In total, they presented the king with 18 children. And so many heirs planted the seeds for the destruction of the Carolingian Empire. Today let's meet Emperor Charlemagne's many wives and concubines. Meet my friends, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton! If you love Verdict, the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show might also be in your audio wheelhouse. Politics, news analysis, and some pop culture and comedy thrown in too. Here’s a sample episode recapping four takeaways. Give the guys a listen and then follow and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts. Crickets from Iran Clay Travis and Buck Sexton outline the administration’s next steps as Vice President JD Vance prepares for a high‑stakes diplomatic mission to Pakistan for renewed negotiations with Iran. The hosts analyze President Trump’s morning comments on CNBC, where he stressed American control over the Strait of Hormuz, refused to extend the current ceasefire deadline, and warned that military action could resume if negotiations stall. The conversation explores whether the U.S. naval blockade is truly succeeding, how Iran is attempting to leverage ceasefire optics, and why negotiations with the Iranian regime are notoriously difficult due to deception, internal power struggles, and the lack of a clear decision‑maker within Tehran’s leadership. Clay and Buck also discuss the absence of any visible popular uprising inside Iran despite heavy military pressure, questioning assumptions about regime collapse and examining whether economic pressure, prolonged embargoes, or stronger military escalation would be required to force real change. Spilling the SCOTUS Tea An in‑depth conversation with journalist and Federalist editor‑in‑chief Mollie Hemingway, discussing her new book Alito: The Justice Who Reshaped the Supreme Court and Restored the Constitution. Hemingway addresses speculation around potential Supreme Court retirements, explaining why Justice Samuel Alito is unlikely to step down soon while also noting that multiple Republican‑appointed justices are now in their 70s. She explores Alito’s judicial legacy, originalist philosophy, and long‑term focus on religious liberty, including his interest in revisiting key precedent such as Employment Division v. Smith. The discussion also touches on internal Court tensions, Chief Justice John Roberts’ struggles to maintain institutional norms, and the breakdown of collegiality among justices. A major portion of the interview is devoted to exclusive reporting on the Dobbs leak, which overturned Roe v. Wade. Hemingway details how the leak endangered justices and their families, revealing that conservative justices faced sustained assassination threats while liberal justices allegedly delayed their dissent for weeks. She outlines failures in the Supreme Court’s internal investigation, explains why the leaker was likely a clerk or court staffer rather than a justice, and connects the episode to ongoing concerns about politically motivated leaks, slow‑walked opinions, and public attacks on the legitimacy of the Court. Hemingway also weighs in on pending Supreme Court cases, including racial gerrymandering and birthright citizenship, and offers insight into Justice Alito’s continued influence on major decisions. The segment closes with candid discussion of how Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson is viewed internally, with critiques of her jurisprudence and legal reasoning. Don't Wear a Bikini on the Job An interview with Michele Tafoya, former NFL broadcaster and Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Minnesota. Tafoya discusses her record‑setting fundraising numbers, grassroots momentum, and why Minnesota represents one of the most important potential Senate flips in the upcoming midterms. She explains that voter anger in Minnesota is driven by government fraud, lack of accountability for Democratic leadership, rising crime, failing schools, and embarrassment over national perception of the state. Tafoya strongly criticizes Governor Tim Walz, Lieutenant Governor Peggy Flanagan, and Attorney General Keith Ellison, accusing them of avoiding accountability and pushing divisive policies. She highlights education failures, controversial ethnic studies curricula, and declining academic performance as key local issues. The conversation also focuses heavily on women’s sports, parental rights, and opposition to biological males competing in girls’ athletics—an issue Tafoya says continues to resonate deeply with parents across Minnesota. She frames the Senate race as both a Minnesota‑specific accountability fight and a nationally consequential election that could solidify Republican control of the U.S. Senate. Kamala: Imma Get Mine Clay and Buck report that Democratic Representative Sheila Cherfilus‑McCormick of Florida has resigned from Congress after being found guilty of numerous House ethics violations and facing federal charges related to the alleged misuse of FEMA funds. The hosts explain why this resignation matters nationally, given the narrow margins in the House and multiple recent resignations, and what it could mean for upcoming special elections. The hour also continues real‑time monitoring of U.S.–Iran diplomacy, with fresh reporting that Vice President JD Vance still has not departed for Pakistan, increasingly suggesting that any negotiations may shift to secure video calls instead of in‑person talks. The conversation then pivots to the 2028 Democratic presidential field, with a heavy focus on Kamala Harris and the likelihood of her running for president again. Clay and Buck analyze Harris’s early messaging, particularly her emphasis on identity politics and appeals to Black women as the “backbone” of the Democratic Party. The hosts argue that Harris’s strategy will center on framing herself as the rightful nominee based on race and gender, portraying resistance as discriminatory, and blaming her previous loss on being handed an impossible situation with only 107 days to campaign. They debate whether Democratic Party leadership can realistically stop Harris from winning the nomination, discussing the lack of competing candidates who could effectively challenge her base of support and how the Democratic primary calendar could determine the outcome. I'm at Hampton Court Palace in the Communication Gallery to look at a very special collection of paintings, the Windsor Beauties. These portraits immortalize 10 woman said to be the most stunning members of the restoration court. They exude elegance, confidence, and more than a hint of seduction. It was long whispered that famous philanderer, King Charles II used the paintings like a catalog, to choose which lovely lady would be his bedfellow for the evening. His lascivious majesty would then place his order with the Keeper of his Privy Closet, known as his ‘Pimp-master General' who would then call for the patiently waiting lucky lady. The Windsor beauties gained such a notorious reputation that by 1835, the now prudish royal court despised them. The collection was consigned to Hampton court Palace, which was no longer a royal residence. But were the Windsor beauties really just restoration Pinups, or is there more to the story? Hello to you listening in the Town of Flower Mound, Texas! Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds (and a bit more for a story) for Story Prompt Friday and your host, Diane Wyzga. Long ago, Father Sky gave Anansi the spider a large clay pot. This pot contained all the wisdom in the world - every secret, every solution, every insight that had ever been or ever would be. Anansi was thrilled. He clutched the pot close to his chest and began climbing up the tallest tree in the forest, thinking he would hide the pot at the very top where only he could reach it. All that wisdom would be his alone. But as he climbed the pot grew heavier and heavier. Wisdom kept spilling over the sides and falling like rain on the forest floor below. The harder Anansi tried to hold onto the pot and the tree the more wisdom fell to earth. From far below his young son called up: "Father, wouldn't it have been easier to tie the pot to your back?” Anansi stopped climbing. His own child had wisdom he didn't possess. He looked down at the forest floor where the spilled wisdom was taking root: flowers of understanding blooming, streams of compassion flowing, creatures gathering to drink from pools of imagination that sparkled in the sunlight. In that moment, Anansi knew he was wrong. He hurled the pot down from the tree where it shattered on the forest floor. All the wisdom scattered to the winds, settling into every corner of the world. That is why the old ones say no one person holds all the wisdom. It lives in each of us, waiting to be shared, waiting to be joined with others, waiting to become something greater than any one person could create alone. Story Prompt: What is the singular wisdom that you hold in your story that is ready to be shared? Write that story and tell it out loud! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" Speaking of magic, I hope you'll subscribe, share a 5-star rating and nice review on your social media or podcast channel of choice, bring your friends and rellies, and join us! Tattoos have a long and colorful history across the world, and are an important part of many cultures. While 1 in 3 Americans have at least 1 tattoo today, western culture still sees the art form as counter culture, risque and rebellious. You might be shocked if you learned that your grandma was inked. And you certainly wouldn't expect that prim and proper royals of the Victorian era were concealing covert tattoos under their stiff dress uniforms and frilly gowns. But in fact, a handful of trend setting Princes in the late 19th century started an aristocratic craze for secret ink. Let's take a journey through the history of tattoo, learn how it flourished on other continents, but passed Europe by, and was then enthusiastically reintroduced. Along the way, we'll meet several royals from history who were secretly tatted up! Welcome to Birdie Little Secrets, where Kassidy and Sydney are spilling the tee, unfiltered and just a little bit chaotic. This week, the TOUR's most colorful stop delivered everything: redemption arcs, total meltdowns, and behind-the-scenes drama that had players (and officials) on edge. Fresh off a tough loss, Matt Fitzpatrick flips the script in a big way but not without some tension along the way. Meanwhile, Sunday brought the heat as Sungjae Im's near-lock turned into a shocking spiral, and Brandt Snedeker had fans believing in a fairytale comeback that almost happened. And yes… there's one player the girls think needs to add a very important piece to his team (hint: it's not a new club). Then, things get even better with special guest Julia Johnson, who's doing what most golfers only dream of, competing at a high level and calling the shots on the mic. From her dominant Ole Miss days to life on tour and stepping into the broadcast world, she's got stories, insight, and a perspective you don't hear every day. Oh… and the TOUR is heading to Texas, Min Woo Lee is still that guy, and Scottie Scheffler has everyone on baby watch. It's fun, it's a little messy, and it definitely doesn't stay between the lines. Tune in… because not all secrets are meant to stay quiet. Follow us on Instagram and Tiktok @birdielittlesecretspod
A night at a Cleveland Cavaliers game turned messy when Matt Thomas accidentally spilled ranch dressing on an elderly fan's vintage jacket. While Mac blames Matt for the clumsy move, Matt joins the conversation to argue that spatial positioning and a nudge from Mac caused the accidental toss. Health Care Industry Scrutiny: The composition of panelists at the FTC's recent workshop—including physicians and veterinarians—suggests the agency will continue focusing on non-competes involving health care professionals. In this episode of Spilling Secrets, Epstein Becker Green attorneys Daniel R. Spilling the tee… even if things get a little delirious. In this week's episode of Birdie Little Secrets, Kass and Syd are back, no guest this time, just the girls and a whole lot of unfiltered energy. It's chaotic, it's hilarious, and yes… they say "mad" a lot (as in mad funny, mad crazy, mad everything). Syd also reflects on her tournament pick that was looking so good… until it wasn't, and the girls get into what really went down in those final moments. Let's just say, opinions were shared. Then, they shift gears to the final stop of the Florida Swing, setting the scene for what's coming next, what to watch for, and why this week might be one of the best stops on TOUR. No guest this week, but don't worry… more tee with the WAGs is coming soon! Tune in now and don't forget to like, subscribe, and follow along @BirdieLittleSecretsPod… because this episode? When the Guinness family saw the turmoil and scandals of other great historic dynasties, they literally said, hold our beer, and proceeded to top them all. The new series, The House of Guinness dramatizes just one generation of the famous Irish family; the 4 children of Benjamin Guinness, who took over the brewing business in 1868. And while we'll cover what was fact and fiction, there is so much juicy gossip on with the rest of the family tree. Including some rather creative cases of looking for dates at the family reunion. From how they turned cold Irish porter into cold hard cash in the 1760s, to the 1960s drug impresario whose tragic death inspired the Beatles song "A day in the life" to rumors of a family curse. The clan has a history as dark as their famous stout. So order up a pint of plain, and let's get to know the Guinness family. Through most of history, male monarchs have been the norm. Their wives held the title of Queen or Empress, but were merely consorts, with little real power. Many monarchies, like France, The Ottoman Empire and Bhutan have strictly barred women from inheriting the throne and have never had a Queen Regnant, or a Queen in her own right. While others have rules loose enough that a handful of women have had the opportunity to claim the throne and become the highest authority in the land. Some achieved this by outliving their brothers, or not having any, some by seizing power from their husbands or male relatives, and a few actually married their own brothers in order to claim the throne. One nation on our list actually had a matrilineal monarchy for 300 years. Let's take a look at the top 7 nations who have been ruled by 10 or more Queens Regnant: 7. For most of history, men ruled the world. But for 3 decades in the late 1500s two powerful women dominated Europe. Catherine de Medici was Queen of France and Elizabeth I was Queen of England. Neither one was expected to be Queen. But both bid their time until they could seize power. They were brilliant, dynamic, determined, and sometimes ruthless leaders. But even with all they had in common, their differences made them fierce opponents. Catherine was a catholic, a wife and a mother, while Elizabeth was protestant and single by choice. Dozens of books and dramas have focused on the epic rivalry between Elizabeth and her northern neighbor, Mary Queen of Scots. And while she is an important part of the story, Elizabeth's relationship with her greater nemesis, Catherine has long been forgotten. However, season 2 of the Starz series Serpent Queen, and the recent book Blood, Fire & Gold by Estelle Paranque have resurrected the historic frienemies. So let's examine the parallel lives and epic rivalry between Elizabeth I and Catherine de Medici. Join me every Tuesday when I'm Spilling the Tea on History! Through most of history, royals were stuck in unhappy, arranged marriages. But, sometimes, after getting through the awkward wedding night, royal brides and grooms found they had a lot in common and formed intimate, passionate, life-long connections. Some kings even ignored the court ladies clamoring to be their mistresses, and had eyes only for their Queen. From a medieval Queen who rode into war at her husband's side, to a renaissance emperor who trusted his wife to rule. From a Queen who risked death to continue sleeping with her husband, to a Princess who was betrothed to the heir, but ended up happy with the spare. While these monarchs might have been romantic heroes in the bedchamber, they were far from flawless. Some were cruel and violent towards their enemies and even their own people. But they prove that happily ever afters really can come true! At least until a lack of medical knowledge came in to turn their Julia Quinn bodice rippers into Nicholas Sparks tragedies. Let's meet 4 royal couples, who were brought together by arranged marriages but ended up falling in love! 1. King Edward I of England & Eleanor of Castile 2. Holy Roman Emperor Charles V & Isabella of Portugal 3. Queen Maria II of Portugal & Prince Ferdinand of Saxe-Coburg & Gotha 4.
