In my first face-to-face podcast since Covid restrictions allowed, I interview the fabulous Lucy Lewis. Lucy Lewis has led an extraordinary life in which she documents within her new autobiography 'Lighting The Fuse'. Her book is out now and is available from all online and physical book stores. Lucy Lewis and join the army in 1998 and after attending Royal military academy Sandhurst, she became the first female bomb disposal officer to operate in the Armed Forces. Lucy said in Germany, Northern Ireland and the MOD and was part of a small female delegation to Jordan hosted by the Royal family to advise on the merging of female and male armies. In 2018, Lucy took another trailblazing role, becoming the first woman appointed as a university Marshal at the University of Cambridge. She lives in Cambridge and is always looking for her next adventure.

Founded in 1995, their aim is for safer, better and more cycling in the Cambridge area, where about half of the local population uses a bike at least once a month.
