An opening day defeat for the Gunners away to the spunky newly promoted Brentford in their noisy, raucous, cauldron of a stadium...it was a pleasant one for the neutral, I'm sure! We search for positives and really try and take stock of where this club is at, and how painful of a rebuild this could be. Do we even have the right people at the helm? Not too sure (myriad of caveats about this game aside) but tune in as we try and make sense of it all. Arsenal are back and theres never a dull moment!

We talk what went wrong early, whether or not we need to be freaking out about it or just enjoy the fighting spirit and quality the team showed to get back into things, and nearly win it! We touch on Auba, his poor form, and what might be causing it. We also fall deeper and deeper in love with Odegaard, as well as hitting on how big of a game Chambers and Lacazette had.     Arsenal win 2-1 at home in the North London Derby! A fully deserved victory for the gunners, and finally a result to match the performance. It was a day that was only made better by the delicious salty tears of Jose and Spur's unlikable cuntly crew. We talk through all that, a few specific player performances, and the only "negative" drama of the day surrounding the Auba situation. The club finally making progress culturally is a welcome change!     Arsenal fall to Man City (again) 1-0, but theres a bit more to pick through in this one, compared to recent meetings. After a really rough start, Arsenal settled into the game reasonably well, but we didnt seem to quite go for it as the game wound down. Roll on Thursday and a massive Europa League game against Benfica. We hit on that, what our lineup might be, and whether or not Arteta missed a trick by having a few key players play the full 90 this past weekend.     We missed a couple games, we know, we know. But we're back to touch on those disappointing results briefly, before getting to the MEAT of this podcast; and that was Arsenals's convincing 4-2 win at home against Leeds. An encouraging lineup, and an encouraging full debut from Arsenals January signing. We survived a late consolatory brace of Leeds goals, and see the game out comfortably overall, while putting an end to the recent run of unlucky and bad results. Listen in and leave a review!

We discuss the 0-0 draw at home to Manchester United, an interesting one with a lot of discussion points, as well as quickly touching on the closing of the transfer window. I think its fair to say Arsenal got a lot done, mostly good, but will we regret sending Maitland-Niles out on loan? Arsenal put in a much more convincing 90 minutes than in the FA Cup this go around, and a dazzling display saw Arteta's men up into the top half of the table going into a very difficult run of games. We talk about the return of Thomas Partey and how transformational he can be for an already improving midfield, as well as the growing influence of our Hale End baby boys.
