First Bible Church of New Jersey

One Bread

The church reports on its first mission trip to Romania, highlighting the team's experiences in evangelism, Bible study, and service alongside local pastor Adam Zander. Testimonies from attendees emphasize the profound impact of witnessing global poverty and the urgent need for the gospel among a resistant population. The report underscores key theological themes of self-sacrifice, unity within the body of Christ, and the importance of remaining faithful in daily life regardless of location. Participants reflect on how stepping out of their comfort zones revealed common struggles with believers worldwide while reinforcing the call to consistent spiritual discipline. The sermon concludes with a challenge for the congregation to maintain this urgency and unity in their local ministry context.

The sermon centers on the profound joy and reality of eternal life found in Jesus Christ, drawing primarily from 1 John to emphasize fellowship with God. It highlights the historical evidence of Christ's incarnation, death, and resurrection as the foundation for believers' hope and purification from sin. The preacher passionately urges listeners to reject religious formalism in favor of a vibrant, personal relationship with the Savior. Emphasis is placed on the believer's responsibility to share the gospel boldly, acting as a sweet savor of Christ to a lost world. Ultimately, the message calls for a life marked by freedom from fear and sin, anchored in the promise of seeing God face to face.
