The “benefit of the doubt” portion of Joe Biden's presidency is over. His poll numbers are down, especially among Black voters. Today on the show, we return to some of the voters we talked to in Georgia during the state's runoff election and hear how they're feeling now.Read more:A little over nine months into Joe Biden's presidency, the infrastructure bill is languishing in Congress and his poll numbers have fallen, especially among key Democratic constituencies, including Black Americans. We're still a year away from the midterms, but it made reporter Cleve Wootson wonder: Are the same people who worked so hard to turn Georgia blue in 2020 willing to do it again?“If midterms are about enthusiasm and turnout, who do you think is excited to vote on November 2 at this moment?” said Nsé Ufot, chief executive of the New Georgia Project, which has registered more than a half-million voters. “Because it ain't Democrats. It ain't Black folks. It ain't young people.”Today on Post Reports, we revisit Georgia.Listen here to our episode from December ahead of the two Senate runoffs in Georgia. If you value the journalism you hear in this podcast, please subscribe to The Washington Post. Summary: Are we witnessing the shortest stock market correction in history, or is there more to come? I sit down with Avi Gilburt to discuss the correction as well as inflationary circumstances that have created a lot of economic speculation. We also talk about energy, which has had great returns, but is not necessarily indicative of the economic state. Tune in to hear more valuable insight on the economy and all of its happenings. Highlights: -Are we witnessing the shortest stock market correction in history? Or is there more to come? And what's happening with inflation? -We have hit the minimum target with the correction -If the market doesn't pull back correctively from the next high, this is going to put us back on track to looking at one more test before we try again -A lot of this is speculation, and getting an edge -Energy has had great returns -We're expecting more rally within energy -The big energy issue lately has been natgas -Some people think higher oil is indicative of the economy doing well, and others think the opposite -The economy follows the market -The stock market seems to have always been the leading indicator of the economy -Inflation isn't what everyone is making it out to be -Prices are going up in certain aspects, but the purely economic definition of inflation says that all prices should be going up -We have a large increase in the money supply, but no velocity of money -We still have price displacement -Disappointed with the action of gold -The IWM is setting up to outperform again -The dollar is going to be getting more of a rally Useful Links: Financial Survival Network Elliott Wave Trader
Sermon: Loss, heartache, and disappointment have a way of affecting our faith. Maybe you thought God was going to heal someone, or change a situation and he didn't come through like you hoped. That disappointment can drive us to a place of unbelief and doubt. What does Jesus have to say about the hardest moments of our lives? Scripture Passage: John 11:1-44 Speaker: Matt Pousseur

The recently completed 191st Semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints provided 10 hours of sermons from the faith's top leaders, including four women among dozens of men. In this fourth straight all-virtual conference, worldwide listeners heard speeches about mental illness, the importance of temples and dissension among the membership. Speakers also focused on the need to hold fast to faith in Christ, use the church's full name, and take precautions against the coronavirus pandemic. On this week's show, Emily Jensen, a writer and web editor for Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought, discusses the weekend's sessions — the words, the music, what inspired, what disappointed, and what the proceedings may mean moving forward.

Many of you out there have to go against the grain, transgress gendered boundaries, and in doing so, you've disappointed your parents, partner, or faith community. What I want you to know is you have not disappointed Jesus. And after learning about our early Church sisters, I want you to know you stand on the shoulders of a long legacy of faithful women who defied their culture's expectations of women – in obedience to Christ. So I leave you with Paul's word, "we are not here to please man but God. So be you and know you please your maker." 1 Thess. 2:4 NLT
The Philadelphia Sixers held their media day today and shocker... no Ben Simmons. The entire team had to answer the questions on how they view it. Joel Embiid was awesome. One of the best interviews he's had in a 76ers uniform. So honest and open. Doc Rivers and Daryl Morey opened things off... I had some beef with responses. I got into it all on this episode! Parts of the Hauraki plains have effectively been ring-fenced and placed into alert level 4 for at least five days. It takes in an area near Miranda where there are three new Covid-19 cases including a prisoner who travelled out level 4 into a level 2 area as part of his bail conditions. People inside the ring-fenced area must stay at home and monitor for symptoms for the next five days and can only go for food or medical treatment, following a new health order. Waikato District Mayor Allan Sanson told Checkpoint he is disappointed the prisoner who has tested positive for Covid-19 was bailed to an address in the Waikato when one in Auckland was also available. He told DPMC this morning how disappointed he was in the decision. "I thought Department of Corrections would have applied a bit of common sense as well, knowing that they would potentially go across the border... I just can't understand the rationale at all. "it just shows that some people seem to think it's all right … we can just move freely across the border. I've never had so much rubbish in all my life."

2 Peter is a letter written from a deathbed. It represents some of Peter's final thoughts to a church both disappointed and under attack. Jesus said he would come "soon," but "soon" has lasted decades. Seth and David talk about the false teachers that were skeptical that Jesus would ever come, why it's certain, and why it's good news that God will come to judge and save. This week we chat with Rachel Cummings, one of the rising stars of the sport, on racing, wrenching and getting started in Vintage Jetskis. Rachel has motorsport in her blood with years of experience riding enduro motorbikes with her dad, but it wasn't until she was 20 years old that Rachel was introduced to the sport by her boyfriend, Andrew. Between them they've racked up countless hours of wrenching and admit their passion for the sport has driven them to build race skis faster than they were designed to go. Join us as we go into detail about those modifications, setup and engine tips that Rachel uses to get the best out of her ski. Checkout all this and more on the Ride by Day, Wrench by Night podcast. 00:15 Introduction. 01:52 How did you get into jet skiing? 04:24 You have a boyfriend who loves jet skis too. 07:30 You started on an X2, when did you get a superjet? 09:50 Innovation is great, it leads to the whole industry going forward. 10:27 Finding your SuperJet just before spring break. 12:12 How we converted the ski for the surf. 14:02 Disappointed with the performance at first. 15:35 Chasing whaleboats at Pismo. 20:20 Your first real jet ski event at Huntington Beach. 22:34 Andrew's family has a house at Lake Havasu. 24:09 I was racing just to finish. 25:20 How did your first race go? 26:58 Scrambling to get gear last minute. 27:39 I was the only girl who signed up. 29:04 We realized we were actually competitive. 29:41 We pitted next to Michael Prodanovich. 31:04 So you ride dirt bikes too? Steering takes priority over the engine when upgrading. 56:32 Tell us about your 750 pump, what difference could you feel compared to a 550? 59:20 What is your recommendation on impeller pitch? We bend them ourselves and test. 01:00:20 Tell us about your intake, they are very aggressive. 01:01:14 Tell us about your ride plate, what adjustments have you made?
