It's no longer a fire season; it's a fire year. With a large fire burning out of control in California right now and virtually no snowpack here in Utah this year, it's going to be a looooong summer here in the West. In this Utah Firewatch segment, Greg and Holly discuss the fire outlook for the next several months. They also share updates on that massive fire in California and a new wildland fire center that's opened here in Salt Lake.

When the storm hits and Babylon goes cold, where do you find your fire? In this special winter edition of Reggae Hour, we aren't just playing music — we are reasoning on resilience. As snow, power outages, and cold winds sweep across the world outside, Mr. E and Zionya (Daughter of Zion) dig deep into the crates to uncover the sounds that have kept the people warm for generations. From Prince Buster facing the long winter of 1960s England, to the modern spiritual armor of today's Winter Soldiers, this episode traces how reggae has always been more than music. It has been a fireplace for the diaspora — a source of heat, unity, and strength when the physical world turns cold. This is a story of migration, survival, sound systems, and inner fire. A reminder that even when Babylon freezes, the spirit does not.

In this uplifting episode of Father & Dad, Fr. Steven shares highlights from his recent trip to the National Catholic Youth Conference, where he accompanied a group of Andrean students along with teens connected to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs. Over three powerful days, thousands of high schoolers gathered to hear inspiring keynote speakers, worship together, and deepen their commitment as disciples of Jesus.Fr. Steven reflects on the profound moments of adoration at NCYC and talks about how the spiritual fire the teens experienced doesn't have to fade once they return to their normal routines. He and Dad discuss how young people can nurture that spark of faith in everyday life. This year's conference also featured a special, planned livestream appearance by Pope Leo, who answered questions from teenagers and offered words of encouragement—an unforgettable moment of connection for everyone present.

When God ignites a revival fire, it's unmistakable and transformative. The early church in Acts 2 demonstrated how to sustain this divine flame through four key practices within small groups: continuing steadfastly in doctrine (deep biblical teaching), fellowship (authentic community), breaking of bread (communion), and prayers (corporate intercession). These practices weren't complicated but proved profoundly effective. Small groups create environments where believers can go deeper than what's possible in large gatherings, helping the fire spread from person to person. The revival that began at Pentecost continued because believers committed to these practices, showing us that sustaining spiritual fire requires intentional connection and commitment.

KEEPING YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE BURNING, PART II (Acts 2:1-4) If we are to live the victorious Christian life, then we must have the spiritual fire of God's Holy Spirit burning brightly in our lives. We are absolutely powerless to be in God's will without the Holy Spirit. Fire is a symbol of the Holy Spirit: It spreads: Fire begins small, but it can devour a forest or destroy a city. The convicting power of the Holy Spirit begins as small spark in the heart of a lost person, and then it spreads, from person to person as the new believer tells of his wonderful salvation. It burns: Everything fire touches is transformed into fire. The fire of the Holy Spirit transforms your old sinful nature into one that is righteous before God. It purges: Fire sterilizes and kills germs, disease, and all impurities. The Holy Spirit convicts the lost person of the sin in their lives, baptizes them into the body of Christ, and purifies them with the blood of Christ. It illuminates: We take for granted the light that comes from the flip of switch, yet for thousands of years, fire was man's only source of artificial light. It allowed men to work and walk in a dark world. In the same manner, believers walk in a world dark with sin. It is the Holy Spirit living in their hearts that speaks to them, provides discernment to them, and illuminates the mind of Christ for them. It warms: Fire provides heat and comfort in a world full of cold and ice. Jesus promised the disciples a Comforter. The Holy Spirit is the Comforter to the believer in a cold, hard, world that has no love for them or their faith. He comforts us when we are in trials. He empowers us when we need Him most. He enables us to live the Christian life. It smolders: Men can resist and quench ordinary fire, but the fire of the Holy Spirit can never be put out. Once the fire of the Holy Spirit is in your heart it will never leave you. But, you can make it inoperative in your life. If you allow unrepented sin in your life, it will smolder quietly in the heart of the believer, ignored, and then suddenly begin to spread again. Click on the play button to hear a message on the four things that you must do to keep the spiritual fire burning in your life. KEEPING YOUR SPIRITUAL FIRE BURNING, PART I (Acts 2:1-4) We are going to be teaching today on this subject: “Keeping Your Spiritual Fire Burning.” And this is so important in this day, and in this age. It seems to me that the world is searching for an answer to the questions they have about the meaning of life, and the truths about right and wrong. Some are looking to the government for handouts to make them happy. Some are looking to the educational institutions to make them happy. Some are looking to their friends to make them happy. Some are looking to religion for happiness. But they will not find it in any of those places. They will not find true happiness and fulfillment, until they find the Lord Jesus Christ and make Him their Lord and Savior. On The Day of Pentecost, God created the church, the body of true believers to share His gospel message of truth and eternal life. It is through this church that the Holy Spirit has all the answers that people are looking for. We are that church, the church of the living God. Click on the play button to hear a message on how The Holy Spirit is the empowering fire of God. Fire gives power. Do you know what's wrong with so many churches? There is no fire. And because there is no fire, there is no power. Can you imagine a factory where everything in this factory is perfect? I mean, all of the machinery is in place, there are mighty wheels, and great pistons, and conveyor belts, and chains and hoists, and everything is there in the factory, but the factory is cold and dead, and nothing is happening. Somebody says, “Well, maybe we need to put some stained glass windows in the factory. Maybe we need to put a steeple on top of the factory. Maybe we need to put a big sign out in front of the factory. Maybe we need some robed choirs in the factory.” Then somebody says, “Wait a minute. There's no fire in the boiler. That is what we need, is a fire in the boiler. That fire is where the power comes from.” And so many churches today, they have everything except fire. Fire is power. Jesus said, “Ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” You see rationalism, and ritualism, and traditionalism, and formalism, will not do it. It is not form. It is not facts. It is not fashion. It is fire. The Holy Spirit is the empowering fire of God. This is a live recording of The Master's Class Bible Study at LifeChange Church Wichita, KS. Amen.

This month, we are anchoring our huddles in the heart of worship—what it means to keep the flame burning. Not just musically, but spiritually. We're not just preparing songs—we're preparing a place for the presence of God to dwell. You Are Called – You Are a Levite Scripture Reference: 1 Chronicles 23:5-6 • David appointed 4,000 Levites as musicians to minister before the Lord. Worship leaders are not just singers or musicians—they are called, set apart, and anointed for ministry. • The Levites were chosen to carry the presence of God, just as modern-day worshippers stand before both the people and God. Lessons from David and the Ark of the Covenant: 1. David prepared a place for the Presence of God to rest. 2. The Ark was carried on the shoulders of the Levites—the weight of responsibility was on them. 3. A leader was appointed over the singers and musicians. 4. The Levites stopped every six steps to sacrifice to the Lord, showing the priority of worship. • Worship is not a performance; it is a priestly duty, a ministry unto the Lord. • David chose a “skillful” worshipper to lead the singers and musicians. 1 Samuel 13:14 • “The Lord has sought out a man after His own heart.” Impartation: • David, though not a Levite, lived as one—his life was marked by worship. • He was from the tribe of Judah, which means praise. • David's worship was not about talent, but about intimacy with God, shaped by trials, brokenness, and deep love for the Lord. • God is seeking worshippers with fully devoted hearts, not just skilled musicians. David's Example of Worship Leadership: • David's worship sent demons running—his anointing mattered more than his talent. • He raised skillful worshippers, but in Hebrew, “skillful” means “discerning one.” • Worship went from “worshiping with all their might” to “discerning worship.” • It's not about how good it sounds, but whether it moves the heart of God. • Are we more focused on moving crowds than moving Him? • Worship leaders should seek God's direction for each set list and service. • Ask Him: “Is this what You want from us today?” • True worship is about surrender—your heart must bow before your hands play a note or your mouth sings a word. • God desires to sit as King on the throne of our hearts. A Worshipper's Heart: • A heart after God • A heart that chases God • A heart that longs for His presence • A heart that builds an altar for Him • A heart that fears the Lord in awe, honor, and humility • Leviticus 6:13 – “The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.” • The fire on the altar represents passion, devotion, and commitment to God. • In the Old Testament, priests tended to the fire daily—it was never allowed to go out. • Worshippers must tend to the fire in their own hearts. • If the fire dies in you, it will not ignite in others. • Worship is not just about what happens on the platform—it's about a daily life of devotion. Three Ways to Keep the Fire Burning: 1. Daily Surrender & Devotion • Spend time in God's presence beyond rehearsals and services. • Worship in private before leading in public. 2. Pure Motives & Humility • Worship is for God's glory, not ours. • Stay humble and keep your heart aligned with why you do what you do. 3. Continual Hunger for His Presence • Never settle. Keep pressing in. • Stay desperate for more of Him. • Worship is more than music—it is a priestly calling and a lifestyle of devotion. DON'T FORGET TO SHARE THIS PODCAST AND SUBSCRIBE!!

The driver pulled up and dumped it in my driveway, but I was very happy to see it. It was my cord of wood - a winter of warm fires in our fireplace! See, we had ordered it during a special sale, which others apparently took advantage of big time. The driver told me some people had ordered five cords of wood. When I asked why, he said, "It's for their wood stoves. They're depending on it to keep their house warm this winter!" No wonder they ordered a lot of wood for the winter. And when they run out of fuel, they run out of fire. When they run out of fire, it gets very cold. I'm Ron Hutchcraft and I want to have A Word With You today about "How to Keep Your Fire Burning." For somebody listening right now, it's winter spiritually - maybe for you. What used to be a warm and passionate relationship with Jesus has turned cold and practiced. Your fire for the Lord and for His work is burning pretty low, or maybe there are just the embers of a fire that once blazed high. The problem isn't the fire; the problem is a shortage of fuel. See, spiritual fire is like those fires in people's stoves or fireplaces: you have to keep throwing another log on the fire. You can't just get it burning high and then expect it to stay that way indefinitely. Jesus obviously knew what to do to keep the fire going. He knew where the fuel was. He demonstrates that in our word for today from the Word of God, beginning in Luke 4:40. "When the sun was setting, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying His hands on each one, He healed them...He rebuked demons and would not allow them to speak. At daybreak Jesus went out to a solitary place. The people were looking for Him and when they came to where He was, they tried to keep Him from leaving them. But He said, 'I must preach the good news of the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because that is why I was sent.' And He kept on preaching in the synagogues of Judea." Now after a very full day and a very late night, Jesus gets up early to go to the spiritual woodpile - time with His Heavenly Father. He went for that spiritual fuel regularly. In Luke 6:12, we are told that "Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God." At another point, Luke tells us "Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed." Notice in Luke 6 that Jesus comes back from His Father-time refueled for His work and refocused on what His work is supposed to be. Now if the fire is burning low in your heart right now, it could very well be that you aren't spending the heart-to-heart time with God that you once did. That's where you find the logs to rekindle your fire because the flame of serving Christ has to be a deep love relationship with Him. See, it isn't all about Bible study, it isn't all about church or theology or ministry or living the Christian life. It's all about Jesus! And the pressure and stress of each crazy day make it so easy to forget that this is all about Jesus, it's all from Jesus, it's all for Jesus. It could be that your time with Him has been more and more abbreviated, postponed or even canceled. You need to get back to what fueled your fire in the first place - belonging to Jesus, being with Jesus, loving Jesus. Without that regular time, that sweet relationship is replaced with a stressful rat race. When Jesus had Father time, He came away knowing He couldn't just stay with the people who had already experienced Him. He had to move on to the unreached. So do you and I. Making your Father time the anchor of your daily schedule will not only fuel your fire for the Lord, but also for the lost people He died to rescue. And you'll feel again the excitement of joining Jesus in His eternal rescue mission. Those who depend on a fire make sure they have plenty of fuel - and that they add logs to their fire regularly. For us to live as we were created to live, we need a blazing spiritual fire in our heart. So make sure your fuel supply is strong and consistent. Christian living and Christian service are all about Jesus! Staying in heart-to-heart contact with Him will give you all the logs you need for a fire that never goes out!
