So, who is "Elias?" Is it John the Baptist? Is it just the Greek version of the name Elijah? Is it Noah? Is it all of them? But ultimately, who is the "Elias" who visited the Kirtland Temple in Section 110 of the Doctrine and Covenants and restored the keys of the Gospel of the Dispensation of Abraham? Bruce Porter joins Greg to give his idea on who this elusive character is. Isn't there a "Spirit of Elias" and a "Spirit of Elijah?" Website- www.cwicmedia.com
The Patriarchs – Abraham, Issac, and Jacob, received the blessing and mandate from God that would frame the 4th Dispensation. With the world now divided into nations after Babel, God created His own nation (Israel) through which the world would interact with Him and His plan. If the nations blessed Israel, they would be blessed. This would hopefully lead them to chose to accept the plan of the God who blessed them. But if they cursed Israel, they nations would be cursed and the Dispensation would fail. In this week's podcast, we will examine the Promise/Covenant God gave the forefathers of Israel and also look at the history of the Patriarchs from Abraham to Joseph (which reads like a soap opera…or reality TV), concluding with the Exodus from Egypt. For exclusive content, Q&A Videos, and private Bible study, become a Faith By Reason Patreon www.patreon.com/faithbyreason

The symbolism of everything in the Tabernacle, from the measurements to the colors to the numbers, points to Christ. God made it clear in the Old Testament that there would be a new covenant; the rituals that were performed in the Tabernacle are no more because Christ fulfilled them. Our new dispensation is in His finished work of salvation. VF-2384 Watch, Listen and Learn 24x7 at PastorMelissaScott.com Pastor Melissa Scott teaches from Faith Center in Glendale. Original Sin is usually defined as the eating of the Forbidden Fruit by Adam and Eve. But I would contend that what happened immediately AFTER they ate the fruit is much more important. Why? God did not immediately judge Adam and Eve after they ate the fruit. Instead, He asked them questions! Their responses to God's questions were the determining factor in the success or Failure of this Dispensation and Original Sin. In this week's podcast:Why were Adam and Eve ashamed to be naked? (wouldn't your spouse be the person you're most comfortable being naked with? There's obviously something more going on here)What does the Bible mean by the terms “naked” and “uncovered”?What REALLY happened to Noah when he was “uncovered” in his tent? Why did God ask Adam and Eve questions before He rendered judgment for their disobedience? How could Adam have answered God differently and changed history? The first example of JustificationWhy did God have 2 Cherubim guard the way to the Tree of Life? For exclusive content, Q&A Videos, and private Bible study, become a Faith By Reason Patreon www.patreon.com/faithbyreason
