It’s an emotional episode and Cara does an incredible job of sharing hers and Lee’s story. It’s very clear to see Cara's strength and understand how her ambition and commitment are making incredible headways in this field of research which until now had been halted due to lack of funding. Later on in the episode, we discuss the ways that people can help and share some of the awesome things that people are doing to help out. We even come up with some ideas for how to use proven marketing principles to further help the fundraising efforts. As you're listening to this, if there’s any way you can support Lee and Cara, it would be massively appreciated. Please make donations or even share this podcast or page with people that you know, the more people who get behind this the faster great things can be achieved. Here’s Cara to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk

Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’m delighted to announce this incredibly special episode, as it’s the 52nd one today, which means the Get More Customers podcast is officially one year old! Woo Hoo! It’s been great fun spending time with so many awesome business owners and entrepreneurs and it's an absolute privilege to have so many of you guys listening in each week. So it’s only fitting that we’re joined for an awesome milestone episode, by long time friend of the show and all-round top geezer, Thomas Bower from Thomas The Caterer. If you didn’t know already, Thomas makes wedding catering awesome and runs such a great business, that we’re proud to also call one of our customers. Thomas has won more fancy awards and testimonials than we could even begin to start listing, and he does make the most delicious food, of that I can assure you. Now, today’s episode came about as when Thomas reached out to me with the idea of talking about blogging, as it’s an area we've not really covered in any great detail in the past year. With a bit more time on his hands due to the UK lockdown, he’s been able to get to work at getting the most from his blog, and we’re going to share many of those ideas today. Throughout the episode, we really go deep and how to use blogging from a lead generation perspective, which is important. This one is literally packed full of great tips and ideas, and there’s even a quickfire Q&A towards the end, so make sure you stay tuned for that. I’ve got no doubt that you’re going to love this one as much as I did. Here’s Thomas to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a brilliant episode today as I’m joined by Deborah Jones from Jones Consulting. Deborah is a very talented lady who specialises in leadership and management coaching and consulting for teams from large organisations. She has successfully operated for the past 20 years off the back of her reputation for delivering fantastic results. Whilst Deborah can turn her hand to an incredibly wide range of areas of expertise and industries, it seems to be making it difficult to find new customers who aren’t recommended via word of mouth or referral. What we cover in today’s episode was so much fun and my very best kind of episode as we work through the process of developing a sales message from start to finish by focusing first on the target market and the problems they are currently facing, not the services which she offers. The benefit of this is that you can create products which fit perfectly to the market you are selling to without risking wasting your time making things that aren’t needed. If you’re in a similar situation where most of your work comes from word of mouth, then it’s quite possible that you too could benefit from the step by step process we outline here. I know that you’re going to love this one. Here’s Deborah to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a great episode today as I’m joined by Juzer Qutbi from Saifee Creations. Juzer and his brother run a Graphic Design business which offers services ranging from company branding and logo design, right through to printing and wedding stationery. Where Saifee Creations excels is through their ability to satisfy the needs of their customers and the incredible reputation and they’ve cultivated along the way in terms of their Google reviews. During our conversation, we looked at the importance of considering your customer and their needs ahead of the products and services that you sell. Most importantly, the impact it can have on your marketing when you get this right. Furthermore, we looked at how you can take this information and follow actionable steps to update your copywriting to reflect this new way of thinking. So many businesses struggle with this in their marketing, so I know that you’ll be able to benefit from this too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. In today’s episode, I’m joined by Mark Evans from Conversations With Impact. Mark is a coach and counsellor who’s based in Leicester. Mark has a great track record with his patients and reveals his unique ‘Impact Model’ for helping to transform the lives of people suffering from any number of issues ranging from bereavement and eating problems right through to business coaching and everything in between. Like many businesses, Mark has also been affected by the recent Coronavirus crisis, so it leaves him with a unique opportunity to be able to focus more time on growing his business and reaching more people. Throughout the episode, we look at ways of attracting more customers by focusing specifically on their unique needs and emotions, and how to turn this thinking into more sales leads. Furthermore, we look at how any business can reach and help more people by using tools such as books, webinars and training programmes. I hope you enjoy this one.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a real treat in store today as I’m joined by fellow Go Websites co-founder and all-round legend, Lee Hancock. I’m so excited to be sharing this episode as it’s something that we’ve talked about doing for a while and for various reasons, we’ve not been able to. As you’ll soon hear, Lee has a genuine passion for helping small businesses to get more customers from the web and one of his specialities is understanding how to get websites to rank highly in search engines such as Google. Everything we’ve been able to achieve for our customers and ourselves when it comes to search engine optimisation (or SEO) has ultimately come from Lee’s systems and ideas. For the very first time on the show, we’ve got the opportunity to tap into some of that knowledge so that you can benefit even during times when other areas of your marketing might have been cut back. You’ll discover the 3-step system which can be used by anybody (regardless of technical ability) and can be applied to any business which attracts customers from Google. We also look at some really cool ways that you can turn any helpful or generous things that your business might be doing during the Coronavirus, into tangible SEO benefit. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Lee to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
I’ve got a fantastic episode for you today as I’m joined once again by Lawrence Taylor of Taylor Pickering. Now it wasn’t too long ago when Lawrence last joined us, and that was an awesome episode which I recommend you listen to if you haven’t already. However, we’ve once again got something a little different for you today as it’s another episode which is dictated by the coronavirus situation. Lawrence runs a plumbing and heating company and like many businesses, is being currently hit hard by the crisis we all seem to be facing right now. Whilst a number of his services have been stopped, Lawrence is still able to provide emergency services and feels a duty to join the huge number of people who are helping keep the country afloat during these difficult times. For Lawrence, the secret to staying afloat during these difficult times is actually the same as it usually is, only intensely magnified. It’s a laser focus on the needs (both emotionally and functionally) of his customers. There are some great thinking strategies used in this one, and I’m sure you’ll agree, the plan we come up with at the end is well worth the listen. Hopefully, you’ll be able to use this thought process to help keep your business afloat, or at least allow you to hit the ground running when you’re allowed to re-open. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got something a little bit different today as I'm joined by Dave Nicholls of Better IT. Now it wasn't so long ago when Dave appeared previously on the show when we were able to map out an incredible sales follow-up process. However, in today's episode, Dave is looking to share some valuable wisdom to help businesses during this Coronavirus crisis which is impacting us all at the minute. Dave runs a forward-thinking IT support company so it was no surprise to hear the awesome work which he was doing with regards to helping business to enable the power and efficiency of working from home in as quick as time as possible. Throughout the episode, Dave shares some useful tools, tips, strategies and ideas that will open your eyes to what can be achieved using technology. Even though we run a web-based business and I’d consider us to be pretty tech-savvy, there were a number of ideas which took me by surprise. Additionally, we move on to looking at creative ways which any business owner can try and turn a crisis situation, like we're now, into something more positive. I'm pleased that we recorded this because I think it's going to be massively beneficial to lots of people listening, who might otherwise be getting very anxious about what the future holds. If you do find these ideas useful (which I’m sure you will) and you know any other businesses who may benefit too, please, please share it with them so that we can help as many people as possible. I know that you're gonna love this one, Here’s Dave to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve got a great episode today as I’m joined by Nathan Steans of Superior Property Maintenance & Improvements Ltd Nathan is a painter and decorator by trade, however, he’s also able to turn his hand to a number of other disciplines such as plastering and joinery too. What makes Nathan’s business different is his meticulous attention to detail in his work and the way he strives to get the very best results for his customers, ensuring their home remains in the best condition for many years to come. The biggest problem that Nathan faces is the ability to be able to generate new leads each and every month using his website. During the episode, you’ll discover the exact step-by-step copywriting process we use to be able to communicate with your ideal customer. We also look at a really interesting way to easily increase the average transaction size with only a small amount of additional work and without being 'salesy' or pushy at all. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Nathan to tell you more...
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a superb episode for you today as I’m joined by Steve Gordon from Unstoppable CEO. Steve joins us all the way from (not so sunny) Florida and is an expert on Podcasting in both his own business when he’s helping his customers to benefit from this marketing phenomenon too. What I love most about the insight which Steve is about to share, is that it all comes from real-life experience. He worked his way up in business and really came into his own when applying his sales and marketing skills with like-minded entrepreneurs. Like anybody who has achieved success in something, Steve’s valuable lessons are derived from things that have worked well for him and from mistakes that he’s made along the way, and more importantly how you can avoid making the same ones too. As a podcaster, I’m already converted into the benefit of hosting a podcast, but the ideas which Steve shares were genuinely eye-opening. Whilst we touch on the logistics of starting a podcast, the bulk of what we talk about is his unique system for leveraging your time investment to build rapport, generate high-quality referrals and ultimately bring more customers into your business. I’d certainly recommend a pen and paper for this one as there are some amazing marketing strategies even if you’re not considering creating a podcast of your own. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Steve to tell you more...
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve got a great episode in store for you today as I’m joined by Caroline Hunt from Emerald Starfish (which is a cool name). Emerald Starfish work in helping small and medium businesses to recruit new staff into their business without the usual stress, frustrations and time consumption which face anyone trying to do this themselves. The big difference in what Caroline does is their approach. Unlike the typical agency who simply places a candidate for a set fee or a percentage of the agreed salary, they work on behalf of the employer to create an authentic experience which is proven to attract better fitting staff which fit with company values and the culture of the businesses. As you would expect from a business which delivers consistently high results, most of her current customers come from word of mouth referrals. Aside from delving into exactly how she helps her customers, we focused largely on Profit Accelerator #1 which is how we can translate what she talked about into a powerful sales message. During the episode, I shared our 3-step process on how to create copywriting which attracts your ideal customers and encourages more of them to take action. If your website doesn’t currently attract a significant number of leads, then there are so many useful nuggets that you’ll be able to use in your marketing too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a brilliant episode for you today, as I’m joined by Rachel Pickering of Wonder Walks. Rachel runs a really cool business which provides walking, training and boarding services to dog owners in Nottinghamshire. Whilst many of her competitors just provide basic services, Rachel has structured her business to add real value to the lives of the dogs and the owners. For example, dogs aren’t just walking, they are taken on adventures which might include games and activities to stimulate their minds too. Whilst she has already grown the business to its second location, Rachel is looking for ways to spread the word further and allow more dog owners to benefit from these wonderful experiences too. During the episode, we map out a step-by-step strategy from taking largely untargeted door-to-door flyer dropping and turning it into a list of hyper-responsive ideal customers. Further to this, we also had a brilliant chat on pricing strategy, including how and why you should charge more than your competitors. There are so many great nuggets in this one, which I know you’re going to love. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Rachel to tell you more...
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a great episode in store for you today, as I’m joined by Stephen Bradshaw from Keybreak. Stephen is a software developer and he and his business partner David have developed an awesome app which helps to promote healthy working environments by combating the damaging effects of RSI in the workplace. Like many great apps, the functionality is simple but very effective. It records activity on your computer and intelligently detects when you should be taking a break, and then reminds you to take short breaks and guides you through exercises and stretches. Whilst the app is now in beta launch and currently attracting some impressive feedback from its users, the topic of the conversation focused in many ways on the market which would benefit most from the app. During the conversation, we look at great ways to identify your ideal target market and exactly what to say in order to best get their attention and ultimately promote action. We also come up with some awesome ideas as to how you can bring games into your business to heighten the attention and commitment of your customers and team members. There’s also a hidden bonus in this one of a music track that Steve and created which I’m sure you’ll find amusing. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Stephen to tell you more...
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an excellent episode in-store today as I’m joined once again by Donna Fairbrother of The Nursery HR People. Donna originally came on the show for episode 4 when we revealed how she was able to take her experience as an HR consultant and intensify her positioning and authority by specialising in the nursery niche. It’s great to hear how things have moved on in the business since we last spoke and understand the new challenges she now faces. Having completed some foundational improvements, we were able to spend the episode working on developing a sales process which is designed to maximise the spend of each subscriber which signs up through her website. This episode contains some really quite advanced thinking on sales funnels and how you can multiple the profit you are making without increasing the number of customers and subscribers. The best part is that literally any business can apply these techniques and it can be one of the fastest ways to increase the amount of money your business is making. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Donna to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an excellent episode for you today as I’m joined by Mustafa Jiruwala from Local Leaflet Promotion. Mustafa runs an incredible business which prints and distributes leaflets in an ever-growing number of cities in the UK. Whilst many businesses consider pushing flyers through doors as an outdated method of marketing, Mustafa is proving that if you know what you’re doing, there’s never been a better time to give it a try. What separates his company is the way that he’s genuinely put the customer right at the heart of his business goals and developed a unique GPS tracking software to prove that every flyer will be delivered. During the episode, we uncover the secrets of getting the best results by what to put on your flyers, right through to choosing the right streets and areas to target. We also take this a step further by outlining the steps needed to turn into a sustainable and predictable marketing system integrating with websites, email, telephone and more. This one is packed from start to finish with awesome marketing strategies that you’ll be able to swipe and deploy in your business with ease. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Mustafa to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an awesome episode today as I’m joined by Lawrence Taylor from Taylor Pickering. Lawrence runs an excellent plumbing and heating business which is based in Leicester and really understands what his customers are looking for and turn his back on the bad reputation which so many of his competitors are bound by. He is also a VIP as he’s Platinum Level Go Websites customer, and we recorded this episode hot off the press after completing his annual renewal after an incredible year of lead generating for his business. With the lead generating clearly in hand, we’re able to dig deeper on more of the back-end elements of encouraging these customers to buy more frequently and spend more when they do. During the episode we come up with some awesome ideas for how he can develop a strategy for getting his engineers to sell more stuff without doing any ‘selling’ at all, just by adding more free value. I know what we talk about here is rare in business, but could be applied to absolutely any company that is looking for more customers and profit. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Lawrence to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
I’ve got a brilliant episode to share with you today as I’m joined by Matthew Walne of Santorini Financial Planning. Matthew runs a fantastic business in which he uses his expertise to help his customers with both financial planning and financial advice. As you’ll discover for yourself, Matthew has a wonderful approach to working with his customers and is very much based on building long-lasting, trust-based relationships. This helps in two key areas, he can ensure they are the right fit for each other and ends up working with his customers for many years. When it comes to marketing, he’s already got a good grip on many of the concepts we use here at Go Websites and is indeed getting results from his website. The key areas which we cover are how can he get more cold visitors to provide contact details and indeed how he can systematically educate and motivate them to a stage where they ‘trust’ him. There’s so many useful nuggets in the one, I know you’re going to get massive value from this. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a really interesting episode for you today as I’m joined by Bradleigh Vickers of Axiquo. Now Bradleigh runs a very modern business in that he helps You tubers to grow their followings and ultimately make more money from the videos they make and the advertising relationships they can attract. Where Bradleigh differs from the competition is that he is developing software to help with this transformation so that he’s able to scale the speed and volume at which he can help people. The one of the areas we were able to focus on is how he can market the software when it launches to be able to generate a stream of new customers. What was really exciting is how we were able to map out his process from start to finish and ensure that it really stands out in the minds of his ideal customers. The process we followed really helped to give Bradleigh clarity in his marketing and the best part is that this exact process will apply to any business, especially if what you sell is new, bespoke or requires a level of education. I Hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Bradleigh to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’m delighted to be sharing today’s episode as I’m joined by Richard Bailey from Reel Twenty Five. Richard is an incredibly talented videographer who has built up an impressive portfolio of work and clients over the years. Where Richard is really able to excel in the industry is with his ability to be able to tell an emotive and gripping story. The way that he writes, directs and produces is carefully constructed to draw the viewer into the world and hold their attention throughout. Whilst Richard has certainly done many things right in getting this far, he’s now reached the point where he’s looking for a more predictable stream of new sales leads coming into his business. During our conversation, we talked about some of Richards most rewarding work and how it has been used to change people’s lives and make a positive impact in the world. Then we develop a complete step-by-step marketing plan to be able to replicate this over and over. The best part of this process is that he will be able to use the reputation and credibility he has to attract more of the same kind of work in the future. The best part is that these concepts will often work equally as well in any business, especially if the products or services you offer are more bespoke in their delivery. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Richard to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a fantastic episode in store for you today as I’m joined in the studio by Martin Fenner of Scale Manager. Martin has a brilliant product, which he pioneered a number of years back, which actively stops the build-up of limescale on taps, showers, boilers etc and means houses which are located in hard water areas no longer have to suffer costly expenses to deal with this situation. Whilst other products exist such as water softeners, they tend to add nasty-tasting chemicals to the water, which no one really wants. His product uses electromagnetism which means no nasty chemicals and can be quickly and easily installed in any house without even using a plumber. Whilst Martin has enjoyed a great deal of past success as the pioneer, things, unfortunately, have become much tougher in recent years. With the changes in difficulty of internet marketing and the increased number of competitors, he’s struggled to replicate his past success. During the episode, we really lift the lift on some of the fundamental concepts that any business who is spending or considering spending on Google Ads need to know. These strategies are the very ones used by our team, and they could be the difference between not making any meaningful return and building a business that is ready to scale and make money. If you can relate to Martin’s predicament, then I know what we talk about here will be of huge interest to you. We also talk about how these concepts can then be applied to ensure that your website landing pages are able to maximise the number of these visitors which are turned into paying customers. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Martin to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’m really looking forward to today’s episode as we have something a little bit different in-store. Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an awesome episode in store for you today as I’m joined by Karen Chappell who is a chronic pain specialist. Karen has developed a truly unique system for being able to help her customers to final get rid of pains which in many cases they’ve been carrying for years. Whilst many people have tried many of the traditional routes, should as doctors, medication, chiropractors, physios etc. Karen’s unique system helps to get to the heart of the actual problem, rather than just treating the symptoms. But the most impressive thing is her ever-growing list of amazing case studies and testimonials from people who have experienced these life-changing results. Whilst her 98% ‘pain-free’ track-record is incredibly impressive, she actually faces quite a big problem in her marketing. Nobody knows about her method and is actively searching for it. During the episode, we reveal exactly how she can take this situation and use it to her advantage, and effectively get customers from Google, even though these prospects are not searching for her business. I think you’ll find this really useful as many of these techniques will transfer easily into other industries. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Karen to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a very tasty episode today as I’m joined by Lorena Moloney of Pasticceria Lorena. There we go. Don’t know if that’s right, but I’ve impressed myself with that anyway. Now Lorena business is mouthwatering, to say the least. She runs a Pasticceria (quite like saying that), which is an Italian word which means pastry shop if my memory serves me correctly. I might be wrong. So she makes all sorts of beautifully crafted cakes, desserts and other awesome delights. Now a big part of her business is producing these cakes for weddings. What she offers is something different which is what her customers are often looking for. Now you only have to take a look at her website to see for yourself the quality of the products she produces and you can see why she has so many happy customers. However, the problem that Lorena faces is that because what she offers is so different, it can mean that people don’t even know these options exist and therefore might not be going out looking for it specifically. During the episode, I'm delighted to say we really dig into this problem and come up with a clear path for how she can get round it and turn it to her advantage by being able to get a predictable stream of news visitors from the internet. Furthermore, we also look at some really interesting ways to turn these visitors into paying customers. There’s some really usual trick in here that anyone looking to get more business from the web can benefit from. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Lorena to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve got a great episode in store today as I’m joined in the studio by Dan Cassidy from Island Properties. Dan is an entrepreneur who runs multiple companies in various sectors, however, for today’s episode, we focus particularly on his property business. Him and his business partner Gil, find landlords who wish to let out their property and offer a complete service which turns their property into a serviced apartment without any risk to their income at all. They then manage everything from property maintenance to interior design right through to cleaning to all of the other challenges that come with it. The industry for this kind of property business is really booming at the minute and things are going great, so our discussion was focused around what might happen in the coming years if the market saturates and how to plan for this eventuality to ensure they are always able to stay ahead of the curve. We covered some really interesting topics in particular, how to identify referral partners that could really help his business to thrive and then what questions to ask them to make it a no-brainer for them to get involved. If your business is looking for more customers and you are able to identify other types of business that could provide you with a consistent supply of leads, then these ideas could be massively valuable to you too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.

We cover everything from how to set up your Facebook campaigns, what to put in your emails right through to how to write amazing copy which inspires people to buy. We also look at the steps which they’ve been able to take to use this marketing system to allow themselves to step up out of the operational side of their business to be able to spend their time just doing the things they love. Make sure you’ve got a pen and paper handy as it’s packed full of marketing and business gems. Here’s Brad to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an excellent episode for you today, and actually a world’s first, as I’m joined by two fantastic guests here in the studio, Andrew and Indre Harper of Auto Reserve Ltd. Andrew and Indre are married and together run a car breaking business which specialises exclusively in Jaguar car parts. The incredible thing is that their business is as far from your typical breaker or scrap yard. In fact, they’ve really professionalised in the way that they approach things and have really embraced the internet and the benefits it can bring. They dismantle jaguars, clean, test and store the parts which are then used to stock their thriving e-commerce website, eBay and Amazon business. In this episode we really delve into the actionable steps which any business can take in order to get their website higher in the search engines and drive even more potential customers. We also reveal the incredibly untapped goldmine, sat right in their business which could massively increase sales revenue with next to no extra effort or advertising spend. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here are Andrew and Indre to tell you more...
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a tremendous episode for you today as I’m joined by Alex Slack from The House of Lifestyle Management. Now Alex runs a fascinating business, which offers a huge amount of services which all together combine to achieve the goal of helping people, usually business owners to take care of all of the jobs they don’t want to do or struggle to justify spending their time on, when it could be used more productively elsewhere. I think this is an incredible niche as it really taps into a problem which almost the whole country seems to struggle with, ‘not having enough time’. She really approaches this from a different angle to anyone else who offers these services on their own, which I absolutely love. The biggest problem that Alex faces in her marketing is that many people (myself included) they might not even know these services exist, let alone be actively looking for them. The great thing about this episode is that we really tackle this predicament head-on and come up with a clear strategy how you can bypass this problem in order to get access to a steady stream of people coming into her business. Further to this, we also look at how she can turn this newly found source of traffic into actual customers with some really interesting and proven tactics. Now if your business sells something that people are not actively looking for, or you do things so differently to the rest of the industry, you need to educate your customers before they are compelled to buy from you, then what we cover in this will be massively important to building a powerful marketing system. I really enjoyed this and I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Alex to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a brilliant episode to share with you today, as I'm joined by Hannah Hall of Hannah Hall Photography. Hannah is a wedding photographer who is clearly very talented. She not only has bucket loads of technical ability, but she is also able to draw out some incredibly genuine emotions in her subjects, giving a perfect recipe for awesome wedding photos. Aside from these photography skills, she knows exactly the kind of customer she is looking for and has structured her business to attract these ideal customers and in effect, repel everyone else. She knows exactly how many customers she needs and wants to get to that number as quickly as possible for each calendar year. During the episode, we cover the secret 3-step formula used to write a compelling ‘call to action’ which will increase the conversion rate of any page. This will work for any business who is looking to attract sales leads or enquiries through their website. We also reveal the question which you can ask, to discover exactly what to offer your readers or prospects to get them to take action right away and not wait around or put off getting in touch for a later date. This stuff is really powerful and there are so many more tips and strategies which I know you’ll be able to apply quickly and easily in your marketing. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Hannah to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an awesome episode for you today as I’m joined by Dave Nicholls of Better IT. Dave runs a really solid business that provides IT support services such as backups, cloud services, telecoms and lots of other areas. But what separates him from others is that he’s managed to lay some solid foundations in terms of understanding his ideal customer and developing systems to provide services for these particular people. He’s at a very exciting stage in his business as I’m delighted to say that Dave has recently become a Platinum-level customer of Go Websites so that we can take what he has proven to work at present and begin to scale by providing an increased and predictable stream of new sales enquiries. Our conversation was fascinating and we really dig deep into both the strategy and tactics of building a sales systems which comes into action the moment that he receives a new lead from his website. We talk about the steps required to map out a wow-factor customer experience and then duplicate that each and every time going forward. There’s so much value in what we discuss here and these concepts really apply universally across all business, which is why I’m so confident you’re going to get so much out of this one. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Dave to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. Today, we’ve got an awesome episode in store, as we’ve got James Bacon from JDB Strength & Conditioning. James is a personal trainer who operates in Burton Upon Trent and has a proven system for helping people to break out of their mundane, ineffective gym regimes in exchange for tailored programmes which allow them to quickly work towards their personal fitness goals. James has previously run a successful gym in Nottingham which he was able to sell several years back. He’s now looking to repeat those same levels of success with his new venture. We covered lots of really interesting areas today including how to structure the copywriting on your website so that you can stop your ideal customer in their tracks and have them pay 100% attention to what you are saying. Further to this, we had a fascinating discussion on what to look for when it comes to tracking your numbers and figuring out how well your marketing is working and what you can do to make better decisions. James has done a great job getting to where he is and there are lots of really useful tactics which could well apply to your business too. Without further ado, let’s get started.
We’ve got a real treat in store today as I’m joined by Ryan Carruthers from Betfair Trading Community Ryan’s built an impressive business which provides support and mentoring to people who are trying to make money using Betfair. Betfair differs from other platforms because rather than placing bets with bookmakers, you can place or host bets directly with other users. It’s a fascinating world and Ryan has used his proven system for success and an impressive acumen for marketing to build a phenomenal reputation as the leading expert in the industry. There are so many useful nuggets of information in this one, it’s hard to summarise everything that we covered, however one thing which could be worth its weight in gold to you, is when Ryan reveals exactly how he is able to know what his customers are thinking (like a mind reader) and find out exactly what they are looking for. Further to this, we talk in detail about what to do with this information once you have it. In particular how it can be used to create irresistible content to ultimately get you more customers. I absolutely loved this one, and I’m sure you will too.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We have a fantastic episode for you today as I’m joined by Glen Wakeling from Heatspec. Glen is what’s known as a heating engineer, which is someone that installs, repairs and services boilers of various types along with other services. Where Glen’s business is different, is that he has created a number of systems which allow him to fix commonly experienced frustrations like ensuring all telephone calls get answered and being able to react to emergencies quickly regardless of the timing. During the conversation, we were able to look at how Glen can use everything that he’s proven to work with his customers and apply this thinking to his website. By discovering exactly what information to include on his website, we discuss how he can in-turn attract more of his ideal customers. Further to this, we discuss how to use freely available ‘search data’ information to find out exactly what his customers were searching for, and how he can then use this information to gain a marketing advantage. There are lots of awesome nuggets in this one. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Glen to tell you more... https://www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. Today I’ve got a fantastic episode in store as we’re quite literally going up in the world. That’s because we’re taking the show on the road by heading upstairs from Go Websites HQ to welcome Paul Lyons (and Molly) from Fine Detail onto the show. Paul mainly works in the shop fitting industry where he offers a number of services including surveying sites, creating technical drawings and snagging existing projects. His portfolio of customers reads like a Paris fashion show, with some of the largest names in cosmetics and retail industries. Whilst he has an excellent group of customers already and has thrived by working for a small number of prestigious brands, the industry has seen an unfortunate downturn recently. Inevitably this means the amount of work available to him has also dropped. What I love about today’s show is how we’re able to closely look at Paul’s vision for his business and make some small tweaks, which could have a very significant impact. In particular, we look at the importance of having a powerful and compelling sales message, which is carefully crafted around your ideal customers. So many businesses miss this all important aspect, so I urge you to listen carefully so that you can apply this in your business too. We also dig into the fact that many of his competitors are quite simply waiting, or even hoping for work to come their way, however, with just a small number of tweaks to his marketing and very few changes to his actual operations, we’re able to allow Paul to attract leads rather than having to chase them. I hope you enjoy this as much as I enjoyed did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an excellent episode for you today, as I’m joined by our very own Charlotte Broomfield. Whilst Charlotte keeps things organised here at Go Websites HQ with her sterling day-to-day work, in her spare time she’s a member of The Melton Musical Theatre Company. Charlotte is a chorus singer for the company, who remarkably, have reached their 100th year of existence, and have put on 200 different shows during this time. The company have entertained the people of Melton Mowbray in Leicestershire including the former local aristocracies and even some prestigious members of the Royal family. In order to mark this huge milestone celebration, they’ve created a bespoke production to contain songs and performances from many of the shows they’ve previously performed. Now it’s this current project which is the focus of our conversation as they’ve been thrown a couple of curve balls, which have meant they’ve not been able to market this show in the usual way and have had to think on their feet to ensure ticket sales reach the required levels. There’s some valuable concepts we talk about here, particularly, how to use what you have available in order to create a unique selling proposition from the perspective of your customer. We also look for interesting ways in which they can quickly grow their list of people to which they can advertise future shows and productions. There’s lots of useful ideas in this one, I know you’re going to enjoy it. Here’s Charlotte to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a super episode for you today, as I’m joined by Karl Craig-West who runs The Leicester Business Expo, which is a small business trade show which happens every autumn in Leicestershire. The expo has been running for over a decade now and whilst Karl has been actively involved for many years, he’s recently taken over the running of the entire event and has been introducing some great initiatives to continue to build its reputation and size. This is a really fascinating episode and we cover some interesting ground. Whilst Karl runs the Expo, his other business offers websites and online marketing. So as ever, you’re going to hear a shedload of awesome ideas. Many of which are focused around getting better results at trade shows, however, you’ll also realise that these tips actually apply across any sales and marketing area. We also, get on to speaking about an area of marketing which is often overlooked by almost all businesses. This is what happens when stop focusing on selling a simple service, and instead shift your focus to selling an outcome. Such a powerful shift as you’ll soon find out. We dig deep in this area, so you’ll get a good idea for how this can work for your business too. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Karl to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got an absolutely brilliant episode for you today. I’m joined by Nick Kirk, who is a talented videographer based in Nottingham. Nick cut his teeth working in the TV industry for ITV for many years and has had the privilege of working on all sorts of cool ‘household name’ shows which you’ll no doubt be familiar with when he lists them. Now, the beauty of what he’s done with his work is that he's been able to take aspects of what he’s learned from his time in TV and carefully brought them into the video work he’s doing today for small businesses. This includes things like how he manages his projects, his technical ability with his equipment, how he produces and edits and even in the way that he writes scripts and tells stories through his work. We spent the majority of the call working in profit accelerator #1, which is building a powerful sales message, and in particular, identifying a single target market. Like so many creative businesses, it’s really common to invest lots of time, effort and money into figuring out how to complete a particular project and learning what works and what doesn’t. Then, once that project is finished, you move on to something brand new and start again, completely from scratch. So with this in mind, we identified exactly how you can find a profitable niche in which to operate by following this clear, step-by-step process, and then focusing on that, to turn your experience of getting it working, into predictable and more importantly, profitable future work. What we cover in this is going to be so useful if your business does any kind of bespoke work or projects. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. Here’s Nick to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a really tasty treat for you today and a very entertaining episode with Grahame Crewe from Gray's Coffee Shop & Kitchen joining me live in the studio. I’ve known Grahame for a long time and we’ve been involved in all sorts of stuff and fun projects over the years, which you’ll hear about shortly, some really good and some not so good (understatement alert). But in terms of their existing business which has been going for 6 years now, Grahame and his partner Millsy have created such an awesome thing, achieving success on so many different levels. Primarily they are a cafe, which is located in the heart of the Cultural Quarter of Leicestershire at the LCB Depot, which produces truly amazing food, which is way, way better than what you might expect from a cafe. Everything’s fresh and locally sourced and their menu changes daily. You’ve only got to check their TripAdvisor page to see for yourself, but I must warn you, don’t do this if you’re hungry, cos it is seriously mouthwatering. However, on top of this, they have so many other sides to the business, like events, meeting rooms, conferences, parties, wedding receptions and even a registered venue as part of the Leicester Comedy Festival. The conversation today could have gone in so many different directions, as there are so many facets and levels to the products and services which they offer. However, we focused our attention on the events that they successfully host on a regular basis. In particular, their flagship street food event called Last Friday, which has taken Leicester by storm and at attracts around 2500 people across the duration of just one evening. What I love about the conversation was how we were able to discuss about the power of understanding that not all customers are equal, and creative ways to ‘segment’ them in order to be able to personalise your marketing on a more individual level. We also have a really powerful discussion on the benefit of turning your marketing into a game, and what happens when you get this right. Finally, you’ll like the story about mine and Grahame’s first joint-venture business together and how that ended up. I’ve even been able to dig out a photo of Grahame looking very proud of our achievements which I’ll get added to the show notes. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve really got an awesome episode in store today as I’m speaking with Nila Choudhury from Ayda Loves Lace. Nila’s business (which by the way has the most awesome name with such a cool meaning, as you’ll soon find out) is in the early stages of its development. She makes beautifully handcrafted baby accessories such as blankets, bibs and hair bows etc, and these products have got a unique bohemian style which is very striking and not really like many other products you see in this market. Nila’s been able to turn something she loves doing and that she had a need for, into a viable business model, which is already getting some incredible feedback from her customers. Now this is such a cool time for any business owner as it’s the time when you can really express your ideas and creativity as you start brainstorming all of the different directions which you potentially could head in. What’s important here is that whilst Nila’s just starting out, the things that we outline as being most important to her, are still the same things that are most important to any business, which is how can you get more customers like the ones you’ve got already. We cover some really exciting ground such as how you can make your product desirable to potential customers by using storytelling, and also how you can take everything you already know about your customer and use it to find even more of these people on Facebook and Instagram Let’s get started as I know you’re going to love this one. Here’s Nila to tell you more... www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve got such an awesome episode for you today. I’m speaking with John Shelton from mi360 about his business, which offers virtual tours, drone videos and other high-quality video work which is perfect to enhance a businesses marketing. John’s work is superb, and I actually reached out to him purely off the back of seeing some of his work for one of our customers. The product is typically used by companies who want to showcase their premises and give potential customers a clear expectation, without needing to travel there in person. So you see this kind of thing used in hotels, conference centres, venues, restaurants, attractions etc, but there’s one particular use which isn’t so common, and that’s where this gets really interesting. What I loved about today’s episode is how we went from one single project to being able to fully flesh out an entire business model in under an hour. The discussion we had really typifies everything that’s important in business and in marketing, from how to identify a single target market to developing a unique selling proposition which will be so attractive to his ideal prospect. Then we look at how to use this positioning to unlock premium prices, find strategic partners and really think of ‘outside the box’ ways to get their attention when reaching out. I’m not gonna say any more than this as I’m itching to get started. I challenge anyone to listen to this in full and not be able to take some elements of this to apply in your business. I know you’re going to love this one.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. We’ve got a brilliant episode in-store today as I’m joined by Jonny Prest from Seed Creativity. Jonny is a top man, I’ve known him for a long time now and he’s a ridiculously talented and creative person. He’s also achieved an awful lot in the time that I’ve known him. He runs a full-service creative agency, which means he and his team can deliver anything from company branding and website design through to marketing and video production, and everything in between. But above all this, what I respect most about Jonny, is that he actually gets stuff done. We’ve spoken on numerous occasions previously and there are usually a few opportunities that crop up where he could make a few minor tweaks, that could potentially have a big impact. So I’m always keen to learn how the ideas we’ve discussed have worked. I think this ability to quickly implement ideas is something that any business owner can learn from. We talk about how he’s been getting some solid results by narrowing his focus on a particular side of the business, which is animated explainer videos, and furthermore, how by doing this, he’s been able to identify a clear target market and drill down to a particular group of customers. There’s so much benefit to doing this as you’ll soon found out. Jonny shares some incredibly valuable insight into some of the results he’s getting particularly with cold prospecting on LinkedIn. The stuff we talk about here is a genuine game-changer so make sure you’ve got a pen and paper handy for taking notes, particularly if your business sells to other businesses and you could benefit from using this platform to find new potential customers. Sit comfortably as I know you’re going to love this one.
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’m really looking forward to today’s episode as we have David Vickers from TSL 4 Training, live here in the studio. David runs a brilliant business in which he’s able to provide bespoke training for businesses of all shapes and sizes. He’s clearly a very talented man who’s certified to provide training across many disciplines, including First Aid, Health and Safety, Beauty, Mental Health, Holistic Therapies and DSE (which stands for Display Screen Equipment and actually a service which he has completed for us here at Go Websites, and done a very impressive job too I’d like to add). He currently gets much of his work from referrals and recommendations and you as you’ll soon hear for yourself, his personality really comes across, and that’s why he’s built a reputation for bucking the trends of the industry and offering training courses which are fun, exciting and in which he can really help to change lives and in many cases save lives. Whilst having multiple revenue streams in a business can undoubtedly be of great value, the path we actually went down was almost the polar opposite. This was not only to focus on just one side to the business, which was First Aid training but to then even narrow that training down further again. The benefit of doing this speaks for itself and if you’re in a business which perhaps offers lots of products and services, and you’d like to get a more predictable stream of new leads then this one is full to the brim with great ideas that you too will be able to provide. I know you're going to love this. Here’s David to tell you more. www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers Podcast, with me Michael Angrave. I’m delighted to say we've got something really exciting for you today. Now, I can’t believe how quickly it’s flown by, but we’ve reached episode number 12, and to celebrate we’ve got something quite a bit different to anything we’ve done before. Now If you’re in a business which is looking to get more sales, and you’re the one in some way responsible for bringing them in, then you’re going to love what we’ve got in store this episode. Because every now and then an opportunity comes along which you need to grab with both hands and this is one of those. To mark the 12th week of the show, I’m delighted to bring you a very special guest, joining us all the way from Georgia, Atlanta, and without a doubt a genuine sales and marketing legend, Dave Dee. Dave is someone who has been directly responsible for generating millions upon millions of dollars worth of sales as a direct result of the techniques he teaches and will be teaching in this very episode of the show. I’ve personally studied Dave’s books, videos and courses over the years, and if you’re into the kind of marketing which actually gets tangible results, then you in for a real treat. I’m going to be handing over to Dave so that he can focus on revealing exactly how you can ‘sell more of your products and services in 75 minutes than you now do all year”. If you’ve ever struggled with sales, or you say you don’t like selling, then there’s going to be so much value in this for you and what it can bring to your business. Grab yourself a pen and paper and sit tight, Here’s Dave to tell us more. https://www.gowebsites.co.uk
Hello and welcome to the Get More Customers podcast with me Michael Angrave. I’ve got a deliciously tasty episode for you today as I’m in the studio with Tom Bower who owns and manages Thomas The Caterer. Thomas runs an exceptional business, as you’ll hear for yourself, and he makes awesome food for high-end weddings. What really separates Tom’s business from the rest of the market is that rather than working from pre-made ‘set’ menus, like menu A, B or C, he focuses on menu U. And this means that he helps couples to create delicious food that’s inspired by them as people. Creative food that’s true to their personalities, their tastes and really tells their story as they journey through life together. There’s a lot of things that Tom is doing well in his business, from a marketing standpoint, from a business operations standpoint and certainly from a customer satisfaction standpoint. So listen carefully to the nuggets of advice that he shares on this. The two paths we find ourselves heading is firstly how we could structure his main landing pages to try and compel more of his existing website visitors into sales enquiries, and secondly we talk about profit accelerators #6 and #7 which are both about setting things up using re-engagement so that you continue to get in front of hot prospects even if they never got as far as giving you their contact information, first time around. There’s also quite a deep discussion on why it is that Tom has effectively flushed so much money down the drain trying to get Facebook Ads working and the one big mistake which he and no doubt, many other businesses are making too. There’s lots of value packed into this one, so let’s get started. Here’s Tom to tell you more. www.gowebsites.co.uk
