Host Sam Carroll is joined by Dave Prentice and Chris Beesley for the first Royal Blue podcast recorded in first person since March 2020. But sadly the panel, which also includes Gavin Buckland from home, are not reflecting on a fourth straight Everton Goodison Park win. Instead, they look back at the 1-0 defeat to West Ham United on Sunday. They discuss all the big talking points from what was a disappointing outcome, including the controversial decision to award a corner that led to the only goal of the game, and the performances of Salomon Rondon and Alex Iwobi. But while that duo had afternoons to forget, they were not the only ones, with questions about the form of Ben Godfrey and whether the crowd could have done more to inspire the off-colour players also debated.
EPISODE 75: Wayne and Johnny Black preview the match vs Everton in a way only these two could. Find out a bit of history about our past meetings and some fun facts about how Everton got their name! Plus a special couple announcements in this episode about a charitable cause and the West Ham Way USA Event in Las Vegas. Dave Prentice and Gavin Buckland join Sam Carroll for your Friday edition of the Royal Blue podcast to look ahead to Sunday's visit of West Ham United to L4. The match will mark the return of David Moyes, along with Kurt Zouma and Nikola Vlasic, to Everton. It's now more than nine years since Moyes left the Blues for Manchester United. His derisory bids for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines after he moved to United soured his relationship with Evertonians. But, with time proving just what a good job he did at Goodison Park, has that frostiness cooled? Equally, are Blues taking Rafa Benitez, who used to go up against Moyes when he was in charge of Liverpool, closer to their hearts? Both questions are discussed by Sam, Gav and Prenno, who held an exclusive interview with Benitez for the Liverpool ECHO this week, which you can read by clicking the links below. And with Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin still sidelined, the panel also ask whether Sunday is the perfect time for Salomon Rondon to kick start his Everton career. Ted Lasso S2E12 “Inverting the Pyramid of Success” - Episode Recap - Ray Taylor ShowSubscribe: InspiredDisorder.com/rts Binge Ad Free: InspiredDisorder.com/Patreon @TedLassoShow topic: Despite the public fallout from the news of his panic attack, Ted receives the full support of Rebecca and the team. He focuses his attention on the season's final match, which would determine Richmond's promotion back into the Premier League. Keeley is informed the VC that supported Bantr want to finance a PR firm for her to operate. While Keeley celebrates the news with an overjoyed Rebecca, they learn Rupert has bought West Ham United. Roy forgives Jamie and Nate for showing their affections towards Keeley, but tells the Diamond Dogs he is worried she will no longer need him. During the match, Richmond are down 2–0 at half-time. Nate tries to abandon the false 9 tactic he implemented, but the players decide to stick with it. Ted asks Nate why he is upset with him, to which Nate tearfully responds that Ted continuously neglected him since joining the coaching staff. He believes the team will lose and that Ted would have been fired long ago if it weren't for him. In the final minute, Dani scores an equalizing penalty to secure Richmond's promotion. The team and supporters celebrate, but Nate walks off dejected. Sam decides to stay at Richmond, which Akufo does not take kindly. Through Ted, Sam tells Rebecca he made his decision not because of her, but rather to benefit his own personal journey. Ted runs into Trent Crimm, who says he no longer works at The Independent because his superiors found out he revealed an anonymous source. Roy tries to take Keeley on holiday, but an already overworked Keeley encourages Roy to go himself. Sam is seen leasing a building, which he will use to start a Nigerian restaurant. Bermuda-born Clyde Best came to England as a teenager in 1968 and went on to play for West Ham United alongside the likes of Bobby Moore and Geoff Hurst. Best made a name for himself as a talented goal-scorer in more than 200 appearances for the Hammers, but he faced constant racist abuse from fans, and on occasion, from opposition players. Clyde Best told Mike Lanchin about how he stood up to the racists in English soccer. (Photo: Clyde Best on the ball, 4 March 1972. Credit: Mirror Group Newspapers/Mirrorpix/Getty Images)

Some say this was the most surprising transfer in the history of football. This story starts in the 2009 January transfer window, at West Ham United. The players are on the team bus, on their way to Fulham for a game in the Premier League, when a mobile phone rings. Julien Faubert, one of the West Ham players, picks up his phone. On the other end of the line is a Frenchman, who says he works for Real Madrid. This man tells Faubert that Real Madrid wants to sign him. But Faubert feels like this isn't serious, like someone is trying to prank him, so he says he doesn't want to be bothered. He has a game to play. He switches off his phone. After the game, Faubert switches his phone back on. He has 40 text messages and a couple of missed calls from his agent. Real Madrid really wants to sign him, and they have to hurry up, because the transfer deadline is rapidly approaching. In this episode of our podcast we tell the amazing story of a man who was born in poverty in a French harbor, and ended up making one of the most unexpected transfers in the history of football. This is the crazy story of Julien Faubert and his transfer to Real Madrid. It's a story about frantic phone calls on deadline day, playing with a ballon d'or winner, being wrongly framed by the media, and finding peace in the south of France. - See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Huston has been an Everton fan for about ten years, so he shaves his head to look like Tim Howard. He is very much aware that he has a great voice, and he once played the Big Bopper in the musical Buddy Holly. Huston's style is influenced by the DC area talk radio of the 90's and early 2000's. oh, and he was once a parade. sam Graham has been playing soccer for 30 years and counting, but he's been running his mouth for over 33 years. Professionally he is in the wine and spirits industry, but for fun, he lets Coach Huston yell at him once a week while he's on the pitch. He might be getting “too old for this shit” but he still can't resist the excitement of the game, and the thrill of a red card. Graham is an Arsenal supporter since '02 and has the tattoos to prove it. He really knows his football, and has been preparing for this podcast through years of shit talking at pubs.
