In Isaiah 48 we look at how God refines His people in the furnace of affliction.
Doing your part in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ.
When we determine to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice we must stop conforming to this age and start being transformed in order that we may do the will of God.
In Romans 12:1-2 we read that as believers we are to present our bodies to God. The first step in this is to stop being conformed to the age. Lot is an example of a righteous man being conformed to the age in which he lived, and it cost him dearly. The same high cost awaits any child of God who refuses to stop being conformed to the age. Let’s learn from Lot in Genesis 13:10-11, 19:1-26.
God’s unconditional love is greater than man’s prejudicial hate.
True Christian service is only accomplished when you stop presenting the members of your body to serve sin and present them once and for all as a living sacrifice to the service of God.
The first step in successfully presenting your body as a living sacrifice unto God is to stop presenting it to the lust of the flesh which is fueled by the evil age in which you are living.
True Christian service is only accomplished when you stop presenting the members of your body to serve sin and present them once an for all as a living sacrifice to the service of God.
Just as Jonah preached the message of God's judgment to Nineveh, so should the church preach the message of God's salvation through Jesus Christ to the world.
God will remain forever faithful to His promises made to Israel and His church.
God is preserving Israel through a remnant according to the election of grace while He is building His church that includes Jews and Gentiles together.
Three witnesses testify that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way of salvation.
The previous verses taught us that the way of salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. In the following verses we will see God's chosen pathway to saving faith.
Israel failed to be saved because they sought God by works instead of faith.
Pastor Jesse Hammons teaches from Jonah chapter 2 that salvation is found only in the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Israel of God was never a physical one, but spiritual and solely based upon the divine election of God’s promised seed. Divine election is hard to accept and raises some questions in this text.
The word of God to Israel still does and will forever stand true because God’s faithfulness to Israel rest not in the physical children of Abraham after the flesh, but in the spiritual children of Abraham after the promise. God is fulfilling His promise to Abraham according to His purpose and privilege.
In order to understand God’s dealings with Israel, we must first understand how God views Israel.
The Father selected those who would be saved in eternity passed. The Son was selected by the God head to be "the Lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world" (John 1:29). The Holy Spirit is the One that brings it all together to forever conform each believer into the image of Christ.
The Holy Spirit is the one responsible for applying the the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ to our lives so that we are made new creatures in Christ.
Pastor Jesse Hammons shares that although Jonah was disobedient to God's command, God still used Jonah to bring about His sovereign will.
The born-again believer is sanctified by the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit.
It is impossible for the born-again believer to live a life of purposely planned acts of sin because he or she now serves a new master, and their desire is to please Him.
It is impossible to be sanctified by the Law.
Being freed from sin is a matter of faith in our position in Christ Jesus.
Join us as we give glory to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with singing and a biblical message from pastor Jesse.

Romans 6:1-7 (KJV) What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? [2] God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? [3] Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? [4] Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. [5] For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: [6] Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. [7] For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Romans 5:1-21 The Results of Justification by Faith
There are many gospel messages in the world today. The differences are subtle but they are deadly. In Romans 1 we see that there is only one true gospel that has the power to affect positive change in people’s lives now and forever. It is the biblical gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor Jesse Hammons preaches from Matthew 19:16-26
In 2 Thessalonians 3:6-18, the Holy Spirit instructs Paul to end this letter with advice concerning Christian conduct as we wait on the Lord’s return.
2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 The things that Paul asked the Thessalonian church to pray for are things that the church should be praying for today.
While those who believe the lie are damned, we that believe the truth will be saved.
The anti-Christ will be God’s instrument of judgment upon the people who would rather believe the lie of Satan instead of the truth of God.
There is one who is keeping back the revealing of anti-Christ that the day of Christ may come.
The church at Thessalonica was concerned that they were in the Great Tribulation, however Paul assures them that two definite things must take place before the Great Tribulation can happen.
Paul’s prayer in 2 Thessalonians 1:11-12 for the church at Thessalonica is applicable to the modern church and it should be our prayer also, that we would live worthy to the call of God on our lives and fulfill His will for His glory.
There is coming a day when God will pay each person according to his or her faith in Jesus Christ.
There are blessings that are brought into our lives now and forever because Jesus Christ is risen. Luke 24:36-48, Romans 6:3-14, 1 Corinthians 15:54-57. Songs: Victory in Jesus, Because He Lives.
"For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 (KJV)
2 Thessalonians 1:1-5 The true church must expect to go through persecution and tribulation in order to be proven worthy of the kingdom of God. While it is easy to say “I believe,” your works and attitude in trials will prove your faith as to whether it is genuine or not. Keep the faith!
Worship with us as we sing hymns of praise unto our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and as we hear from His Holy Word in 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28.
The church at Thessalonica was favored by God and fitted for His service.
