Pastor Rick Lancaster concludes a series in the letter to the ROMANS: The Gospel of God. Serving God ought to be the highest aspiration of all Christ-followers. Sadly, only a few experience the blessing of serving God to help get the glorious gospel of Christ Jesus out into the darkness of this world. Rick encourages us to examine our heart and answer God's call to serve. Romans is one of the most influential books of the Bible. It is rich with life-changing truths and deep doctrine. Of all the books of the Bible none carries the potential of spiritual growth like Paul's letter to the believers in Rome. Throughout history Romans has influenced some of the most significant names in the Christian church toward reformation, revival, and awakenings. The Christian church today needs to awaken to the powerful truths found in Romans. Whether you have been in the faith for your whole life or you are brand new to Christianity, Romans has something for each of us to transform and revitalize our faith. Ecclesiastes 3:1-15 NLT1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. 2 A time to be born and a time to die.A time to plant and a time to harvest. 3 A time to kill and a time to heal.A time to tear down and a time to build up. 4 A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. 5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones. A time to embrace and a time to turn away. 6 A time to search and a time to quit searching. A time to keep and a time to throw away. 7 A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak. 8 A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace. 9 What do people really get for all their hard work? 10 I have seen the burden God has placed on us all. 11 Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. 12 So I concluded there is nothing better than to be happy and enjoy ourselves as long as we can. 13 And people should eat and drink and enjoy the fruits of their labor, for these are gifts from God. 14 And I know that whatever God does is final. Nothing can be added to it or taken from it. God's purpose is that people should fear him. 15 What is happening now has happened before, and what will happen in the future has happened before, because God makes the same things happen over and over again. • • •God Appoints Every Season of Life • • •Ecclesiastes 3:1 NLT1 For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. • • •Genesis 45:4-8 NLT4 “Please, come closer,” he said to them. Their two sons were Mahlon and Kilion. They were Ephrathites from Bethlehem in the land of Judah. And when they reached Moab, they settled there. 3 Then Elimelech died, and Naomi was left with her two sons. 4 The two sons married Moabite women. It's easy to hold onto bitterness and resentment when we feel rejected, so why does God ask us to forgive? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses five steps we can take to heal from rejection: Recognize when we experience rejection, accept Jesus as the example, let go of our bitterness, receive and believe God's provision, and accept ourselves. Pastor Allen speaks about how emotions and spiritual forces try to influence us, but following God's design for relationships brings spiritual freedom. We don't have to be defined by our pain—God values us, and He has already made provision to accept us into His family.
Sometimes anger can be a good thing. Especially when we get angry at how things SHOULD NOT be because of God's plan in our world. Usually that's an indicator form the Holy Spirit for us to be on mission to alleviate injustices, suffering, pain, and ruin in our world for the sake of the Gospel. __________ If you're new let us know & visit https://www.covenantdoylestown.org to learn more about us and how you can get connected. We like a sure thing. We like to know that whatever we do will succeed. But the reality is that we have no such guarantees in life. But when we try to play it safe and avoid taking risks, the only thing we succeed in doing is nothing. Jesus expects his followers to have a bias for action. Serving God by serving others doesn't guarantee success from the world's perspective, but it open's the door to God's approval. In the Kingdom, the biggest risk you take is taking no risks at all.
True peace in our homes begins with the choice of whom we serve and what we believe. As Christine F. Perry reflects in today's prayer, our beliefs shape our behavior—whether that’s striving to earn love, chasing wealth, or living for earthly rewards. When we choose our own way over God’s, chaos, fear, and anxiety often follow. But when we surrender authority and headship to the Lord, we invite His peace to reign in our hearts and our homes. Drawing from Mere Christianity by C.S. Lewis, Christine reminds us that God designed us to “run on Himself” — there is no true happiness or peace apart from Him. Today, we are called to make the intentional choice to serve the Lord, letting His presence shape our relationships, attitudes, and daily life. Today's Bible Verse:
God is a great Rabbi—answering a question with another question. His ‘answer’ to His people’s question about how He wanted them to serve Him is one of life’s game-changers—especially for every Christian…

In “The Challenge to Greatness,” Pastor Mitchell preaches from 1 Kings 4:29–34 on how God enlarged Solomon's heart and gave him supernatural wisdom—not because Solomon wanted fame, but because he wanted to help God's people. This sermon challenges every believer to surrender fully to God's will, embrace self-denial, and believe that God can do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”Chapters:0:00 - Intro: The Legacy of Wayman Mitchell1:08 - Christianity: Beyond Natural Ability2:32 - Solomon's Heart for God4:15 - What Do You Want from God?6:00 - Serving God or Self?7:40 - Paul's Conversion: “What do You Want Me to Do?”10:00 - Largeness of Heart vs Small-Mindedness11:30 - Submitting to Another Man's Vision13:30 - Prioritizing the Kingdom of God15:00 - Triumphing Over Mediocrity17:00 - Lifelong Self-Education and Growth18:50 - Solomon's Military and Trade Strategy21:10 - People Skills and Pastoral Wisdom22:45 - Solomon's Commerce and the Glory of Israel24:00 - Jabez: Rising Above a Curse25:40 - Aholiab & Bezalel: Empowered by God27:45 - Pastor Mitchell's Testimony: From a Rock Pile to 88,000 sq. ft.31:00 - The Garbage Collectors: Jeff Day, Tom Payne & Louis Polino34:00 - Altar Call: Open Your Heart to God's GreatnessShow NotesALL PROCEEDS GO TO WORLD EVANGELISMLocate a CFM Church near you: https://cfmmap.orgWe need five-star reviews! After years of discipling Caleb by himself, Mark was dismayed to find out that a church leader had assigned another mentor to the young man. The leader remarked, “Finally, Caleb has a mentor.” What did they think I was doing all these years? Mark wondered. Though he had not expected any reward or recognition, he couldn’t help feeling hurt. Years later, however, Caleb told Mark that he had entered Caleb’s life just when he most needed spiritual guidance. On hearing these encouraging words, Mark came to this realization: God gives believers in Jesus specific gifts to serve Him differently—without comparing with others—and He controls the timing. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-31, Paul stresses the value of members of the body having different gifts, roles, and assignments, while remembering the ultimate source of the results: “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (3:6). Each of us may be given a unique season and opportunity to do God’s work. Unlike people, God doesn’t compare our work, for He loves us as individuals. May we keep our eyes and hearts focused on doing our best in the season that God has given us—relying completely on His strength and empowerment—and not worry about what others achieve in their own way and time.

Romans 1:7-15 — The apostle Paul dedicated his ministry to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and making known the glory of God. This singular focus is made clear as Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches “Serving God” from Romans 1:7–15. Paul was not a cultural commentator, nor was he a politician, but he was concerned that what God has done in Jesus Christ be known to all. From this, Dr. Lloyd-Jones argues that the church should imitate Paul with the great doctrines of salvation and of God. Many preachers have lost this focus on biblical truth and use the pulpit as a platform for nothing more than social or political change. He says that this is in contrast to Paul who said that his ministry was to proclaim Christ and Him crucified, not the changing interests of humanity. This is why Paul writes to the Romans, expounding many great teachings, some of which are hard to understand. The church today should not be content to substitute God's word with the mere opinion of people, but they ought to stand firm on the truth of God as given by the Holy Spirit in the writings of the apostles and prophets. For it is only God's word that has the message of salvation.

Christians may do a decent job of attending church, reading the Bible and applying biblical truths to their own lives. But where it gets difficult for Christians is when they go to work on Monday — and their jobs are secular so they're expected to leave God at home. But this is not how God wants us to live. God wants to be part of everything; He wants us to walk with Him 24/7, 365 days a year, wherever we are and whatever we're doing. Serving God is not solely a Sunday thing. Jonathan Isaac, NBA star with the Orlando Magic, shares his new Christian apparel line and how he brings God into a sometimes celebrity-driven, secular world.
The worship of daily obedience is not at bottom a burdensome giving to God, but a joyful getting from God. That is the true service that God demands.
