On this Wayman Wednesday, hear a classic message from Pastor Wayman Mitchell that will stir your soul and challenge your limits. In “The Challenge to Greatness,” Pastor Mitchell preaches from 1 Kings 4:29–34 on how God enlarged Solomon's heart and gave him supernatural wisdom—not because Solomon wanted fame, but because he wanted to help God's people. This sermon challenges every believer to surrender fully to God's will, embrace self-denial, and believe that God can do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think.”Chapters:0:00 - Intro: The Legacy of Wayman Mitchell1:08 - Christianity: Beyond Natural Ability2:32 - Solomon's Heart for God4:15 - What Do You Want from God?6:00 - Serving God or Self?7:40 - Paul's Conversion: “What do You Want Me to Do?”10:00 - Largeness of Heart vs Small-Mindedness11:30 - Submitting to Another Man's Vision13:30 - Prioritizing the Kingdom of God15:00 - Triumphing Over Mediocrity17:00 - Lifelong Self-Education and Growth18:50 - Solomon's Military and Trade Strategy21:10 - People Skills and Pastoral Wisdom22:45 - Solomon's Commerce and the Glory of Israel24:00 - Jabez: Rising Above a Curse25:40 - Aholiab & Bezalel: Empowered by God27:45 - Pastor Mitchell's Testimony: From a Rock Pile to 88,000 sq. ft.31:00 - The Garbage Collectors: Jeff Day, Tom Payne & Louis Polino34:00 - Altar Call: Open Your Heart to God's GreatnessShow NotesALL PROCEEDS GO TO WORLD EVANGELISMLocate a CFM Church near you: https://cfmmap.orgWe need five-star reviews! the call is to make Christ not only Savior but Lord, to live lives that bear fruit of repentance, and to be ready for the day when he returns as Judge. In Acts 17, James Oguttu that Serving God doesn't always require a supernatural sign; sometimes, it's simply seeing a need and stepping up. Paul's initiative to revisit the churches was not prompted by a direct word from the Spirit, but by discernment and care.
After years of discipling Caleb by himself, Mark was dismayed to find out that a church leader had assigned another mentor to the young man. The leader remarked, “Finally, Caleb has a mentor.” What did they think I was doing all these years? Mark wondered. Though he had not expected any reward or recognition, he couldn’t help feeling hurt. Years later, however, Caleb told Mark that he had entered Caleb’s life just when he most needed spiritual guidance. On hearing these encouraging words, Mark came to this realization: God gives believers in Jesus specific gifts to serve Him differently—without comparing with others—and He controls the timing. In 1 Corinthians 12:4-31, Paul stresses the value of members of the body having different gifts, roles, and assignments, while remembering the ultimate source of the results: “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow” (3:6). Each of us may be given a unique season and opportunity to do God’s work. Unlike people, God doesn’t compare our work, for He loves us as individuals. May we keep our eyes and hearts focused on doing our best in the season that God has given us—relying completely on His strength and empowerment—and not worry about what others achieve in their own way and time.

Candid Catholic Convos 7.6.25 SHOW DESCRIPTION: Our service members are asked to do and see things that many of us civilians can't even fathom. I will never know the full extent of what my husband saw or did overseas, but I do know that it rocked his faith. So how can we minister to those who are called to sacrifice for the rest of us, who come home with injuries that are sometimes invisible, who no longer see the intersection of faith and patriotism? Today I have the honor of speaking with Father William Barbee, pastor at both St. Joseph and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Berwick as well as a former army chaplain who served in Germany, Korea, Texas, South Carolina and eventually the Carlisle Barracks. His vast experiences and incredible journey has led him to creating a rich community steeped in the Catholic Faith and military service devotion.

This Sunday, discover what it means to serve God together as family. We'll explore how faith-filled families can make a real impact at home, in the church, and in the world.Joshua 24:15, is a challenge to all families to choose voluntarily to whom we want to serve. Because serving God isn't just something we do on Sundays at church, it begins around our kitchen tables, in bedtime prayers, it is how we love and lead each other every day, as a family. Joshua's call to choose whom to serve is ultimately fulfilled in Jesus, who embodies God's covenant faithfulness and calls people into the Kingdom of God.Series: Family Sunday- Canada DaySpeaker: Herber CamposScripture: Joshua 24:14-15Timestamps:00:00 - Which one of these statements do you think is easier to live by? Romans 1:7-15 — The apostle Paul dedicated his ministry to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ and making known the glory of God. This singular focus is made clear as Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones preaches “Serving God” from Romans 1:7–15. Paul was not a cultural commentator, nor was he a politician, but he was concerned that what God has done in Jesus Christ be known to all. From this, Dr. Lloyd-Jones argues that the church should imitate Paul with the great doctrines of salvation and of God. Many preachers have lost this focus on biblical truth and use the pulpit as a platform for nothing more than social or political change. He says that this is in contrast to Paul who said that his ministry was to proclaim Christ and Him crucified, not the changing interests of humanity. This is why Paul writes to the Romans, expounding many great teachings, some of which are hard to understand. The church today should not be content to substitute God's word with the mere opinion of people, but they ought to stand firm on the truth of God as given by the Holy Spirit in the writings of the apostles and prophets. For it is only God's word that has the message of salvation.

Christians may do a decent job of attending church, reading the Bible and applying biblical truths to their own lives. But where it gets difficult for Christians is when they go to work on Monday — and their jobs are secular so they're expected to leave God at home. But this is not how God wants us to live. God wants to be part of everything; He wants us to walk with Him 24/7, 365 days a year, wherever we are and whatever we're doing. Serving God is not solely a Sunday thing. Jonathan Isaac, NBA star with the Orlando Magic, shares his new Christian apparel line and how he brings God into a sometimes celebrity-driven, secular world.

Let's be honest—life can feel heavy sometimes. With everything going on in the world, and in our own lives—stress, strained relationships, tough circumstances—it's easy to lose sight of joy. It can feel like joy is something that comes and goes, depending on how things are going. But what if joy didn't have to depend on your circumstances? What if there was a kind of joy that held steady, no matter what life throws your way? God says “yes!” and tells us how through the Apostle Paul's letter of joy called Philippians. We'll study this New Testament letter verse by verse to help you learn how to find joy in life.

The worship of daily obedience is not at bottom a burdensome giving to God, but a joyful getting from God. That is the true service that God demands.
This week we are pulling an episode from the archives–Handling Leadership Privilege. How we handle trials shows who we are, but how we handle privilege shows our character even more. We should never come to a place where our privilege stops us from being a servant or being accountable. Serving God is a privilege and that means not taking advantage of every opportunity.
Being a Christian can be hard in the current climate of hostility—where believers worldwide face physical oppression and persecution. In our own culture, the church is labeled archaic and irrelevant in its stance on modern issues. Today we will consider a few reasons for the opposition we face as Christians and how we can face it victoriously.I. Opposition is NormalII. Opposition is VerbalIII. Opposition is ContinualIV. Opposition is ConquerableTalk with God: Ask the Lord for the courage to stand firm in Christ, despite opposition.Talk with others: Encourage a believer or family member who's been struggling this week and remind them that their “labor is not in vain in the Lord” (1 Corinthians 15:58).Talk with kids: Why did Moses need help leading the people?
