We can't go back to that night in Bethlehem. Can we? The divine incursion into our world is history; it's past. We can re-enact it, but we can't actually see it happen again. Or can we? Each time a man or woman (or boy or girl) is born again, isn't that a divine incursion? Isn't that a "Bethlehem event" that we can observe? Here's Jim to conclude his message, The Witness. If you would like additional information, books, or if you would like to make a love donation; please visit us at https://www.walkinginpower.orgBern Zumpano initiates the study of Revelation Chapter 10, an interlude of events occurring between the Sixth and Seventh Trumpet Judgments. The chapter begins with the appearance of a "strong angel" or "mighty angel," whom Zumpano ultimately identifies as Jesus Christ in the form of the Holy Spirit (the "angel of the Lord") due to the angel's association with a cloud (the Shekinah glory) and his physical description matching that of Jesus in Revelation 1. This angel stands with one foot on the sea and one on the land, proclaiming that there will be "delay no longer" in the revelation of the "mystery of God" (Verse 7) when the Seventh Trumpet sounds. This mystery, subject to scholarly debate, is believed by Zumpano to be the long-unanswered question of why God permitted sin and Satan's entry into the world. The second major event is John's instruction to take an "open little book" from the angel's hand and "eat it," which signifies receiving prophetic knowledge. John experiences sweetness in his mouth (the revelation of the Messiah's coming and Jewish redemption) but bitterness in his stomach (the coming great suffering of the Jews during the Tribulation). The book also instructs John to prophesy again, indicating its relevance to his personal ministry. Following this, Revelation 11introduces the next event: the command to measure the rebuilt Temple in Jerusalem, excluding the outer court which is still under Gentile (Muslim) control (Dome of the Rock) on Mount Mariah. This reconstruction is the final major prophecy needing fulfillment before Christ's return, as it sets the stage for the Antichrist's desecration ("abomination of desolation"). This entire sequence of events signifies that human history is coming to an end, to be replaced by God's history (theocracy). Chapter 11 then introduces the Two Witnesses—Jesus's "my witnesses"—who will prophesy in sackcloth for 1,260 days before being killed by the Beast and resurrected.
If you would like additional information, books, or if you would like to make a love donation; please visit us at https://www.walkinginpower.orgBern Zumpano introduces Revelation Chapter 12, framing it as an overview of events from chapters 6 through 11, focused primarily on Israel's persecution (anti-Semitism) during the Tribulation. The chapter begins with a "great sign" in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, the moon under her feet, and a crown of 12 stars . This woman is Israel, with the 12 stars symbolizing the 12 tribes (Genesis 37). She is "with child," representing the birth of Christ (the Messiah), a male child who "was caught up to God and to his throne" (His ascension), which terminates Daniel's 69th week. A second sign appears: a great red dragon (Satan) with seven heads (wisdom) and ten horns (authority), symbolizing the ten-nation confederacy (the resurrected Roman Empire/European Union) that will back the Antichrist. The dragon attempts to devour the child at birth (Herod's decree) and sweeps a third of the angels (stars) down to earth with him, establishing his kingdom on earth (Pergamum being his throne). The shift to the future occurs between verses 5 and 6, marking the beginning of Daniel's 70th week (the seven-year Tribulation), where the woman (Israel) flees into the wilderness for 1,260 days (three and a half years) for God's protection from the Antichrist (Satan's incarnated man). A war in the heavenlies then occurs where Michael and his angels successfully cast the dragon and his angels down to earth, permanently dispossessing Satan from the atmospheric heaven (heavenlies) and limiting his control, which is the immediate consequence of Christ taking the title deed to the earth. A great voice announces that the "accuser of our brethren has been thrown down." Enraged, the dragon persecutes the woman, but she is protected by "two wings of the great eagle" (God's deliverance, Exodus 19). The serpent then pours a flood (either literal water or slander/propaganda) from his mouth to destroy her, but the earth helps the woman. Finally, the dragon turns to make war with the "rest of her offspring"—the remnant Jews who adhere to the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus, who overcome him by the "blood of the Lamb" and the "word of their testimony."
It was the eternity before Christmas.... That baby in the manger - you know the one - what was His name? Careful: Luke tells us He was officially named at 8 days old, at His circumcision. So what was He called that first week of His human life? Could we use John's name for Him before the world began: "The Word?" The Apostle takes us back to the beginning, and then back a little further. To the shepherds He was a savior; to Herod He was a threat. If we take advantage of this yearly opportunity to peer into the Manger, we may see a Friend or a Foe bundled there in the swaddling clothes. If you would like additional information, books, or if you would like to make a love donation; please visit us at https://www.walkinginpower.orgBern Zumpano introduces Revelation Chapter 8, which begins with the breaking of the Seventh Seal. This event is marked by a profound silence in heaven for about half an hour, interpreted as a moment of awe and anxiety among the heavenly host, who anticipate the far more severe Seven Trumpet Judgments that the Seventh Seal unleashes. Before the trumpets sound, another angel, identified by Zumpano as Jesus Christ (our High Priest), mediates. This angel takes a golden censer, adds incense (representing the prayers of the Tribulation saints/Jews) to it, and throws the censer's fire onto the earth. This action symbolizes Christ's mediation for the saints and his immediate response to their prayers for deliverance is the initiation of judgment on their enemies—the unbelievers on earth, marked by thunder, lightning, and an earthquake. The subsequent sounding of the first four trumpets brings escalating, literal, and localized judgments. The First Trumpetbrings hail, fire, and blood, burning up a third of the earth's vegetation and causing severe ecological damage, mirroring the seventh Egyptian plague (Exodus 9). The Second Trumpet sends "something like a great mountain burning with fire" (interpreted as a fiery meteor) into the sea, turning a third of the sea into blood and destroying a third of the marine life and ships, recalling the first Egyptian plague (Exodus 7). The Third Trumpet brings another meteor, the star called Wormwood (the Russian word for the plant), which pollutes and makes a third of the fresh waters bitter, causing many deaths and echoing God's previous judgment in Jeremiah 9. Finally, the Fourth Trumpet strikes the heavens, darkening a third of the sun, moon, and stars (Exodus 10; Luke 21), a prophetic sign of Christ's imminent return. After the fourth trumpet, an angel declares "Woe, woe, woe", announcing the three final, and most severe, trumpet judgments (the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh), which bring literal hell to earth, beginning with the Fifth Trumpet that releases a plague of demonic locusts from the Bottomless Pit (Abyss), to torment, but not kill, unbelievers for five months.

There's some kind of big holiday coming up, but what are we celebrating? It often feels like the world has almost completely hollowed-out Christmas. All the tinsel and lights and food and music are still there, the package is brightly wrapped - but there's nothing inside. Of course Jesus is The Reason for the Season. And His followers are rejoicing about the Incarnation. But who exactly is this Being who has come to us... and who will come again? How are you holding up? With only a few days to go until the Big One, are you exhausted yet? Stressed out? Depressed? Anxious? Frustrated? Or peaceful? If we could see things from Heaven's perspective - and that's what we're instructed to do in Colossians 3 - we would find pretty much the opposite of what the world's offering. And we would feel that "heavenly peace" that we sing about. Here's Jim with the rest of his sermon, The Mystery: Christ in You. If you would like additional information, books, or if you would like to make a love donation; please visit us at https://www.walkinginpower.orgBern Zumpano frames Revelation 7 as an essential interlude inserted between the Sixth and Seventh Seal Judgments to maintain the prophecy's chronological logic and continuity. Chapters 6 through 19 cover the entire seven-year Tribulation period, with the last three and a half years being the Great Tribulation initiated by the Antichrist's ascent to full power. Zumpano notes that the Tribulation is primarily God's final dealing with Israel, secondarily with Gentile unbelievers, and is a time of God trying to save souls by taking away man's idols (including the earth) and exposing them to the evil (Satan and demons) that they preferred over Him. The sixth seal marks the official beginning of the wrath of God, and the seventh seal will unleash seven Trumpet Judgments, which in turn lead to the seven Bowl Judgments, a "triple whammy" of escalating severity designed to capture man's attention.Revelation 7 begins by introducing four angels restraining the four winds (judgments) of the earth until a separate angel seals 144,000 bond-servants of God on their foreheads—specifically 12,000 from each of the 12 tribes of Israel (Jews). This is an angelic sealing (distinct from the Holy Spirit sealing of the Church) that confirms them as God's people and protects them from harm during the impending judgments, as they are later seen standing with the Lamb in heaven (Revelation 14). Zumpano highlights that this angelic sealing is immediately counterfeited by Satan with the Mark of the Beast (666) on the forehead or hand of unbelievers, sealing them as Satan's forever. The tribes listed in Revelation 7 are not the original 12; Dan and Ephraim are substituted with Levi and Joseph. Zumpano explores the scholarly debate, postulating that Dan and Ephraim may have been excluded from the sealing—and thus left unprotected to endure the Tribulation—due to their severe history of idolatry (e.g., King Jeroboam's golden calves, 1 Kings 12), although he acknowledges that all tribes sinned, noting that Dan and Ephraim are restored and receive a portion in the Millennial Reign (Ezekiel 48).
It's not about Christ in the manger; the objective is Christ in you! For all those who think they can fit God into their puny, broken minds, or neatly graph His eternal plan in their seminar, we have Colossians, chapter 1. There we read that the divine strategy was a "mystery," a glorious secret, revealed only to His "holy ones." And to solve that enigma will take us all the way to death, and a new life. If you would like additional information, books, or if you would like to make a love offering; please visit us at https://www.walkinginpower.orgBern Zumpano continues his study of the Book of Revelation with Chapter 6, marking the beginning of the "things that are to come" and detailing the start of the Great Tribulation (Daniel's 70th week), a time primarily focused on God reconciling with Israel. He reiterates his belief in two raptures: a pre-tribulation/early-tribulation rapture for the zealous evangelical (Philadelphia) Church, and a pre-wrath rapture for those later converted. The lukewarm or backslidden (Laodicean) believers, he suggests, may go through the Tribulation due to their refusal to be zealous, but Christ still offers them a chance to "get hot" (Revelation 3). Chapter 6 shifts the focus from heaven to the judgments upon the earth, which are directed at unbelievers and those remaining. The opening of the first four of the Seven Seal Judgments unleashes the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse upon the earth. The First Seal releases the Antichrist on a white horse, conquering peacefully through deception and a strong delusion (Romans 1), establishing a global order in a world that rejected God. The Second Seal brings War (red horse), followed by the Third Seal ushering in Famine (black horse and scales), and the Fourth Seal introducing widespread Death and Pestilence (ashen horse), claiming authority over a fourth of the earth. The Fifth Seal reveals the souls of martyred believers (likely Jewish or newly converted) under the altar, pleading for vengeance, while the Sixth Seal brings catastrophic cosmic disturbances (earthquake, black sun, bleeding moon), and the falling of stars (interpreted as demonic powers), signifying the commencement of God's eviction of Satan and the beginning of the "wrath of the Lamb." Mankind's response to these clear manifestations of divine power is not repentance, but an "awful prayer" to the mountains and rocks to hide them from God's wrath, demonstrating the extreme hardness of their hearts.
Today we'll look at God's baby picture. It's a paradox, isn't it? The uncreated God had no beginning, but He gave Himself a human beginning. And that's what we celebrate at Christmas. Bern Zumpano's analysis of Revelation 5:1-7 focuses on the scroll sealed with seven seals and its connection to the Old Testament concept of the Kinsman Redeemer. He asserts that this seven-sealed scroll is dual in nature: it represents both a blessing for believers (the title deed to the earth and creation's restoration) and a curse for unbelievers (the seven judgments of the Tribulation). Zumpano uses Leviticus 25 (the law of land redemption) and the story of Ruth 4 to establish the legal precedent for a Kinsman Redeemer, who must be a relative, willing to pay the price, and perform the redemption publicly before witnesses. Since mankind is spiritually poor and unable to redeem itself, only Jesus, the perfect God-man, qualifies as our Kinsman Redeemer, having paid the price with his blood. The scene in Revelation 5 fulfills the Old Testament requirements for redemption: God the Father holds the scroll; the 24 Elders and living creatures act as the witnesses (the redeemed "family"); and Jesus is identified as the Lion of the tribe of Judah (coming in judgment, representing the curse) and the Lamb standing as if slain (the perfect sacrifice, representing the blessing). Jesus possesses seven horns (perfect authority and power/omnipotence) and seven eyes (perfect vision/omniscience), which are the seven spirits of God. When Jesus takes the scroll, it marks Satan's eviction notice and the start of the seven-year Tribulation, which Zumpano explains is God giving wicked mankind what they asked for—Satan's unchecked ministry—to teach them the difference between God and Satan, alluding to the idea that this period of time could also be the fulfillment of the Year of Jubilee, where all property (the earth) is returned to its rightful owner.
The stronger Christian is obligated to the weaker - but doesn't the weaker one have some responsibilities, too? You can't judge someone into joy. If righteousness, peace and joy are the land, sea and sky of the Kingdom of God, then what are we doing worrying about our brother's diet? Or have we forgotten which kingdom we're in? Paul writes very clearly about these things in Romans 14; the challenge is applying them to our day, and our concerns. Send us a messageWe know by the Prophetic word of Truth that the Global Empire of the Antichrist will be comprised of a “One World Religion,” One World Government” and a “One World Economic System.”And as this Global Empire is being constructed, its heartbeat is being echoed from within the “One World Religion” which will work in conjunction with the Antichrist's Governmental and Economic efforts – as this adulterous Harlot rides the Beast during the Tribulation. Many have wondered how so many different religions could come together in agreement when their beliefs are so varied. But through A.I. which we have addressed in other messages, a Virtual Christ will make this unity viable.Additionally, when you take two of the major Religions of the world – namely Roman Catholicism and Islam, and bring them together, you will have the power house which will draw in every other false way as well – bringing all religions into a false unity that has been woven with the thread of beguilement and deception.Which brings us to the important study of “CHRISLAM.” Support the showVisit our website: https://agapelightministries.com/

The first obstacle to Christian unity is my pride. That's a real "Dog Bites Man" headline, isn't it? Of course our pride ruins everything - but especially our ability to bond with others. And that's essential for the church to flourish, and carry out God's program. The lesson we learned in Romans 12, about not thinking of ourselves more highly than we ought to think... that'll be needed here, in chapters 14 and 15. Here's Jim to open the final sermon in our Romans series. At the beginning, there are seven seals and there are four horsemen on four different colored horses who correspond to the first four of the seals. Who are the riders
Are the "strong" really as strong as they think they are? When the Apostle Paul divides us into those strong in the faith, and those who are weaker, what are we to make of that? Is this a proper way to promote unity - by splitting people into categories? Or does he want us to reflect more deeply on who we are, and what is our real position relative to our spiritual relatives? It isn't the position of "critic." There are just too many opinions these days... that's my opinion. Everyone has a point of view. In the church we even have opinions about other people's opinions - but we don't call them that. No, we have "convictions." And when other people's convictions about how to honor God conflict with our convictions, they're just wrong. Obviously. In Romans, Paul is very concerned about that attitude, because it leads to dysfunction in the Body of Christ. What is "good?" Governor Pilate famously asked, "What is truth?" But he, and every political ruler, should also be asking every day, "What is good? How should the force of government be rightly applied?" As we're looking into Romans 12 and 13, we're finding a lot of good insights into how Christians ought to relate to the state, to society, and to our circumstances. Here's Jim with Part 2 of his message, Delivered by Deferring. As we continue to follow the missions of Paul and Barnabas, Fr. Mike highlights the fickle nature of humanity and the futility of striving for the praise of men. He also encourages us to remain courageous in the tribulations we face, finding strength in other believers, and running toward the eternal and imperishable goal of salvation. Today's readings are Acts 14, 1 Corinthians 9-10, and Proverbs 28:7-9. For the complete reading plan, visit ascensionpress.com/bibleinayear. Isaiah 9:6 tells us what Jesus, the name above all names, means to us. Pastor Greg Laurie brings us insight in this message. Notes: Focus verse - Isaiah 9:6 Jesus Christ. That is the name above all names. Isaiah 9:6For unto us a Child is born,Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be calledWonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. From Heaven’s perspective, Jesus was given. From earth’s perspective, Jesus was born. Jesus lived our life and then He died our death. The first Christmas gift was not a gift to a child but the gift of a child. Each of these descriptions of Jesus’ name deals with an important part of our life. Jesus said, “Lo, I come, in the volume of the book it is written of Me.(Hebrews 10:7 KJV) Jesus is in the Old Testament concealed and in the New Testament revealed. Jesus said, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day: and he saw it, and was glad.”(John 8:56 KJV) Jacob wrestled with Jesus. Before conquering Jericho, Joshua met Jesus and bowed before Him. Let’s look at these descriptions Isaiah gives us of Christ. #1 His name is Wonderful: this takes care of the dullness of life. Wonderful comes from the word wonder. There is nothing this world has to offer that will fill the void in your life. That’s where Jesus comes in. The word, wonder, means:amazement, surprise, astonishment, admiration, bewilderment, worship, and awe. The best way to sum it up is, “God is awesome!” Knowing this wonderful God personally takes care of the dullness of life. When the shepherds shared what happened,“All that heard it wondered at these things told to them by the shepherds.”(Luke 2:18) Everything about Jesus was wonderful:His birth, His life, His words, His death, and His resurrection. Wonder will lead to worship and a desire to know Jesus better. #2 His name is Counselor: this takes care of the decisions of life. Do you know that God wants to give personal counsel and direction to you? Psalm 73:24 (NKJV)You will guide me with Your counsel,And afterward receive me to glory. Almighty God, the Everlasting Father, Jesus Christ, is offering you His counsel. Jesus, our Counselor, has a plan for our lives. Jesus has given us His word so we might learn to think and act biblically.Everything you need to know about God and life is found in Scripture. 2 Timothy 3:16–17All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is trueand to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do. But your Counselor, Jesus, is very involved and wants the best for you. Jesus, our Counselor, prays for us too. #3 His name is Mighty God: this takes care of the demands of life. Jesus Christ was not just a “good man,” but the “God-Man.” The Creator became a creation. He did not lose His deity, but He added humanity. Eternal, yet an infant, the Infinite became touchable. Jesus was fully God and became fully man. Jesus did not become identical to us, but He did become identified with us. Jesus could not have identified with us more closely than He did.It was total identification without any loss of identity. Jesus claimed to be God many times. On one occasion, Jesus was crossing the Sea of Galilee and He fell asleep. What could be more human than that? Jesus rebuked the storm and it stopped instantly. What could be more divine than that?He was fully God. Being fully human reminds you that He understands what you are facing. Some say, “It’s very hard to be a Christian.” It’s impossible to be a Christian without the power of Jesus Christ. That’s like trying to run your electric car with no charge. We work out what God has already worked in. We don’t manufacture the power, we access it. You say, “I can’t break free from drugs or drinking or immorality.”The bible says, “You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.” #4 His name is Everlasting Father: this takes care of the future of life. We know life is not merely what we experience here and now on earth. As Christians, we will live forever. God is the Everlasting Father. He will always be there for you. With so many broken homes today and absentee fathers, this is a great comfort. You have an Everlasting Father who chose you. After His resurrection, Jesus said to Mary, “I go to my Father and your Father.” #5 His name is Prince of Peace: this takes care of the disturbances of life. In the storms of life, we all long for peace within. Isaiah 9:6And the government shall be upon His shoulder. For over 2000 years we are awaiting the fulfillment of this verse when Jesus returnsand establishes His kingdom (at the end of the 7-year Tribulation). When Christ returns there will be no more corruption, war, or terrorism. He will reign righteously as King of kings and Lord of lords. The five names represent five dimensions of what every believer needs:“Wonderful” answers our disillusionment.“Counselor” answers our confusion.“Mighty God” answers our weakness.“Everlasting Father” answers our loneliness.“Prince of Peace” answers our turmoil. Every knee will bow.
