What happens to God's people during the Great Tribulation? We discover that the Shepherd who began with 144,000 sheep is the Lamb. All 144,000 are with Him—not one is lost. He redeemed them. He sealed them. He kept them. And now He's standing with them as He begins His reign from Jerusalem. And those 144,000? They enter the millennial kingdom on earth singing with the heavenly chorus.

What can or can't Satan do? Only what God allows him to. When it looks as if everything is turned upside down, remember that. As the beasts are at their height of power under Satan's puppet strings, remember that Jesus Christ is in full control for every day of that three and a half years of the Great Tribulation. Satan's time is short.

In today's message, Pastor Jack kicks off a new series on End Times by focusing on the rapture, urging us to be "rapture ready" by living in a state of constant faith and readiness for Christ's return at any moment. He explains that the rapture, or "catching away," is when Jesus will descend from heaven, the dead in Christ will rise first, and then those alive will be caught up together with them in the air to always be with the Lord. Pastor Jack emphasizes that because no one knows the day or hour, we must be perpetually prepared, using our faith to move mountains, win souls, and live out God's vision, rather than becoming complacent by trying to predict end-times timelines. He clarifies that only a pre-tribulation rapture view allows for Christ's imminent return, and he teaches that our current corruptible bodies will be changed in an instant into incorruptible, glorified bodies suited for heaven. Furthermore, he identifies the church as the Restrainer of evil in the world, which will be taken out of the way before the Antichrist is revealed during the Great Tribulation, a period of God's wrath from which believers are delivered. In your imagination, what will the trumpet sound like that signals Jesus calling His children to meet Him in the clouds? What will the signal be that marks the beginning of the Great Tribulation? Will it sound like a bomb exploding or like a war breaking out? Our teacher, Dr. J. Vernon McGee, explains the sound signals of the beginning of the end of earth as we know it. Satan has free reign to do as he schemes. God's judgment is held back until His purposes are accomplished. Then as now, tribulation either draws us to God or turns us away from Him. In Matthew 24, Jesus said the beginning of sorrows for the Great Tribulation will be filled with famines, pestilence, and earthquakes. But long before Jesus spoke these words, David prophesied about these things in Psalm 2.

Revelation 6 is a dividing line in the book of Revelation. Now we see what's going on back on earth without the Church (now with Jesus in heaven). The drama continues as the Great Tribulation unfolds in orderly progression—seals, trumpets, bowls of wrath, judgment, ending the Tribulation. Then comes Jesus Christ to earth for the second time to execute God's will. You won't want to miss one thing.

During the Great Tribulation as Jerusalem was surrounded bythe Roman legions, there was a surge in false prophets and messiahs, some of whom were able to perform the kind of signs and wonders that deceived the masses to trust in false hope. Jesus warned His disciples so that they would lotlikewise be led astray. What was crucial for that first generation of Christian remains important for us today.
