So instead of album after album, we're going to talk about ONE SONG AT A TIME. - This week's FOURTEENTH installment song is by Artist: Red Hot Chili Peppers And is called “Can't Stop.” It's from their eighth studio album By The Way. Discover something new. One song of the week at a time for however long works. I'm ELATED that you're along for the ride, C
;) Ok, so part of the title is tongue-in-cheek and part of it isn't! In honor of the Eagles' home opener today (Go Birds), we're talking about other amazing things about the city of Philadelphia. In a way that hopefully makes you want to leave wherever you are or wherever you're from and VISIT it in all its glory. Visit visit visit all you want lol. Go Birds! C - One More by Angelo Outlaw I lose focus on the heart-shaped goal when the progression of disappointment and depression creeps in Trying to find love is exhausting. I mean the whole yearning for the uncorrupted Cloud 9 bliss plus the confusing state of rejection is an earth-shattering blend I don't want any more weird haircuts and this self-decorated filter of flawed truth I just want someone I can tell my secrets to Here in illadelph where my energy is felt, and skin color "appears" to be invisible. Look past the spliced divisible population of miscommunication and you realize everyone's hearts are overflowing with generous wealth This feeling is living within the top- tier medalling vibrations The culture is evolving at a rapid rate Sometimes you can observe the hate dissolving and a transformed frigid iris turned to an on-point floral pattern all gaudy Assistance from the wires and glass screens displays a buffet with ease I think Ill swing right on this one Hopefully, this will bring a level of brief enlightenment that could break down the unfortunate masses living within the right sides of their dome If not, I'll just fold the edges of this memory and cut off the corners so that baggage wont have value
What if you could boost your endorphins even if you didn't have the time (or inclination or capacity) for a full workout? You can!! Let's talk how. I'm happy you're here, always, C

Production note: Excuse the bg noise! One day I'll have a more properly soundproofed space to work from. =) In the meantime, we'll occasionally have to deal with the sounds of reality around us. And I gotta tell you, now that we're finished the broadcast, they‘ve significantly reduced the racket! Lol oh well such is life Let's continue a conversation we started a couple weeks ago about thing that you can do that can be relatively low effort for you, but produce potentially large-sized rewards in your life. It's a good thing! So so glad you're here, C
Let's finish talking though—on this lighthearted Monday— things you can do to alter your mood or energy in the moment, when something happens that threatens to make you feel terrible. (Or when something has already succeeded.) Thrilled that you're here, C
We're talking about loneliness today. You may not want to, you may even think of it as too much of a downer topic for a Friday. But I want this to be more than just a lament. We have the opportunity to uplift ourselves and one another. And we need to have the courage and wherewithal to take it. Thanks for being a part of this community, C

The “ADHD tax,” which despite the moniker can also visit other types of neurodivergent people, has been known to rear its unfortunate head when you lose money money because of the way that your ND brain works. And oh the times I've paid it! >:( But the opposite is what we're discussing today yay: times you spent money and the things were useful! Hooray!! I found these tips incredibly life-affirming. To know that someone else had experiences similar to mine and they could vouch for the product or experience anyway? Huge. I'll add my own thoughts when we come across things I've used or been considering, of course. So so glad we're all here, C
Yes, I'm thinking about longevity again ;) So glad you're here, C
Come for the encouragement, stay for the encouragement! ;) I'm so glad you're here, still and always, C
You might not need to put more effort into life! Isn't that a relief to hear? It is to me. What if you could do something (or even multiple things) that would take next to no effort on your part, but that you could reap huge benefits from? Thanks for all you do, C

What if an emergency happens on or during a flight that you're on? Perish the thought. But preparation can help to displace fear and anxiety in some cases. And flying might be one of those areas! Plus it seldom hurts to be ready for anything. The seconds you save could preserve your life or someone else's Buckle up! (That's a given, and also consider these other things.) Many blessing for continued safe travel, C
We're concluding this miniseries on the phobias some have that are less common. But still valid! We're not looking for logic or rationale. But as in other times, we're looking to increase knowledge, understanding, and empathy. There's one that is particularly unique in this set that also provides an example of what NOT to do when someone tells you they're afraid of something Thanks for your bravery out here in this mad world, C
I couldn't help it! I had to come back to this discussion of what *other* people would do if they won the lottery. Why? Because it gives us a respite to join the fantasy as well :) But also because thinking about what you ~would~ do one day can also introduce you to things you ~could~ do today. Where would you like your life to be headed? Can you turn in that direction now? Happy daydreaming, C
We're back on the encouragement episodes and I am so thrilled to be able to share sentiments like these in this space again. It's a joy and it's an honor. It's been a minute because I needed a minute. Hope these thoughts manage to shed some light. So glad that you're here, C

We're learning a bit more about the behind the scenes actions and sentiments of other people's professions. And trying to keep it light because even though it's only Tuesday, this has already been a challenging week Thanks TONS for being here, C
What goods and services have you been curious about (or longing for) but holding off on because you figured that they were reserved for those with more resources or disposable income than you? Wellllll, perhaps we can discuss something today that will give you the freedom to reevaluate :) - Also, in what may be the first instance of this since we finished the 300 albums series, we spent so much time on topic content that we had to move the poem to written format instead! Thanks for your patience with this ;) -Poetry Time- How to Be Hopeful by Barbara Kingsolver Look, you might as well know, this device is going to take endless repair: rubber cement, rubber bands, tapioca, the square of the hypotenuse, nineteenth-century novels, sunrise— any of these could be useful. Also feathers. The ignition is tricky. Sometimes you have to stand on an incline where things look possible. Or a line you drew yourself. Or the grocery line, making faces at a toddler, secretly, over his mother's shoulder. You may have to pop the clutch and run past the evidence. Past everyone who is praying for you. Passing all previous records is ok, or passing strange. Just not passing it up. Or park it and fly by the seat of your pants. With nothing in the bank, you will still want to take the express. Tiptoe past the dogs of the apocalypse asleep in the shade of your future. Pay at the window. You'll be surprised: you can pass off hope like a bad check. You still have time, that's the thing. To make it good. - Thank you so much for being here, C

Increased Summer travel means staying in hotels (or other short term accommodations) for lots of people. And in those places, you are NOT in charge of regular cleaning and things can fall along various point of the cleanliness spectrum. Listen, I'm not trying to freak you out (I'm not trying to freak you out!) but let's take a look a some of the places you should be extra mindful of touching (or not touching) when you go to stay someplace that's not your own home. And then enjoy your trip! So glad you're here, C

We continue forward with talking about the rare and unusual phobias that some have been born with or developed along the way. Keeping in mind that although learning about such things can obviously be a point of interest, it's also an opportunity for enhanced or increased empathy. To give yourself a way to see life from someone else's perspective, and attempt to understand. It's going to be alright; I'm glad you're here, C

I guess we'll find out ;) In the meantime, you can improve your own longevity plans, or just your overall wellness, by incorporating some or all of what we discuss today into your early hours of wakefulness. If you want to go out and do something fun somewhere in the US on the Fourth of July, I don't think that makes you unconscionable or demonstrates the character of a hypocrite. And there are LOTS of opportunities! Joy can be an act of resistance and there are still perspectives that can be celebrated, even if you need to take a break from some of your ideological angst to do so. Take a break! Check out the options. And if this year doesn't work for you, then you should DEFINITELY be thinking about next year ;) Stay safe out there, C
