What if fear wasn't a stop sign, but a signal you're on the edge of something important? In this solo episode, I'm diving into the real, raw truth about fear—how it sneaks into our creative process, our confidence, and our desire to put ourselves out there… and what we can actually do about it. We're talking about everything from perfectionism and people-pleasing to the inner stories that keep us in survival mode instead of moving forward. I share personal moments (including a time I nearly passed out from excitement and terror all at once), client breakthroughs, and the small shifts that create big change when it comes to visibility, creativity, and self-trust. Whether you're navigating a new season, launching something, or just craving more ease and confidence in how you show up—this one's for you. 3 Takeaways You'll Love: Fear is normal—resourcefulness is your superpower. You don't need to be fearless to take the leap. You just need to remember you already have what it takes.Visibility starts with self-compassion.The more kind and curious you are with yourself, the more confident and grounded you'll feel when it's time to be seen.Small practices shift everything. From journaling to movement to reframing fear as devotion, you'll walk away with tools you can use right now to get unstuck and take aligned action. Do it scared! Do it anyway! Today I reflect on the pivotal moments in my life where fear showed up loud and clear… and why that was a good thing. From leaving a corporate accounting career and carving a new path, to solo travelling for the first time, to navigating cultural unknowns, to uprooting my life and moving to London - these moments of fear taught me how to be adaptable, empathetic and relentlessly curious. What we discuss:The powerful distinction between fear and dangerThe emotional chaos of major life changes (and what they teach us)Why gut feelings deserve your attentionHow cultural differences can shape our perception of safetyWhat survival mode does to your creativity and decision-makingThe unexpected freedom that comes with being uncomfortableLearning to trust yourself—one leap at a timeWhy small risks can lead to massive growthKeen to learn more about personal growth, career and money? Let's go deep into Deuteronomy 10, and I will write it for you in the flowing style you like — storytelling, explanation, and meaning together, not in a bullet point or segmented format. Deuteronomy Chapter 10 — A Call to Fear and Love the Lord The chapter opens with Moses continuing to speak to Israel, reminding them of God's mercy even after their rebellion at Mount Sinai. He recalls the moment after the people had sinned by worshiping the golden calf, how God in His justice was ready to destroy them. Yet, in His mercy, God gave Moses the command to chisel out two new stone tablets like the first ones — because the original tablets of the covenant had been broken in anger at their idolatry. Moses carved out the tablets and made an ark of acacia wood to house them, as God instructed. He ascended the mountain once more, and there, in the presence of the Almighty, the covenant was renewed. God Himself wrote on these new tablets the same commandments He had given before. This moment was a sign of God's willingness to forgive and restore His relationship with His people, even after they had strayed. Moses then tells how the Levites were chosen to carry the ark of the covenant, to stand before the Lord and serve Him, and to pronounce blessings in HisBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sendme-radio--732966/support.

When negotiating, tensions may arise, but they often can be diffused, bringing harmony and agreement to an otherwise adversarial situation. Understanding the "love-fear" dynamic can make your life more peaceful and your business relationships more rewarding. Join your host, Cindy Watson, as she engages Dr. John Sottosanti in a discussion of successful negotiating in an atmosphere of cooperation and mutual understanding. Dr. Sottosanti is an acclaimed surgeon, scientist, entrepreneur, educator, and the author of the Amazon bestselling book Mortal Adhesions, in which adhesions are a metaphor for the negatives in our lives that prevent us from realizing our dreams and goals. Together, they explore how transformative thinking can produce win-win situations. John not only performed surgery but also formed three businesses, licensed his patents to a large biotech company, and represented the western region of the United States on the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology. For twenty-seven consecutive years, his negotiating skills involving speakers with controversial opinions brought the Annual Periodontal Symposium at the University of Southern California national acclaim. In this episode, we will discover: Why is the achievement of "inner peace" so important? How to negotiate your mindset to show up powerfully what role does fear play in sabotaging negotiations How does pride hurt our ability to negotiate? Why are people attracted to a person with humility and vulnerability? What is the love-fear dynamic? Love, Fear & Anger | Coventry UK 7 May 2023 by S.B. Keshava Swami
Love and fear and the two main motivators in our lives. Almost everything we do could be understood as an act or love or and act of fear. When we choose love, we are rooted in growth, hope, courage and willingness. Unless we are in real danger, most of the time, when we are rooted in fear, we are driven by hopelessness, contraction, and destructive forces which devolve us and make us small. The good news is that growing in love allows us to overcome fear. ----- Please follow me on Insight Timer! Rate, Review & Subscribe on Apple Podcasts. I am so excited about today's episode! I finally got to sit down and interview Cheryl Strayed, one of my favorite authors and a true inspiration for so many. Cheryl, of course, is the NYT best-selling author of “Wild,” which was later made into a beautiful Oscar-nominated movie. Cheryl and I have known each other for years, and I have always been a massive fan of her work. Cheryl has a hilarious anecdote about the first time we met, which you will have to listen to the episode to hear, but let me just say, it ends with Cheryl asking me: “Laura, do I make you sick?” HA! Not at all, girl. This led us to talking about your “ITS”! This is Cheryl's name for your “inner terrible someone,” that voice in your head that always offers up the cruelest self-criticism and narrates the worst possible version of scenarios. Sadly, we all have that “inner terrible someone” who is quick to heap on the shame, doubt, fear and self-loathing that keeps us from accessing our true worthiness and our true mission here. On this episode you will learn: • How Cheryl silences her inner critic when she's writing and creating, and how other creative folks can use her wisdom to welcome their inner critics without fear • How to access the wise, true, loving voice inside of yourself (yes, I promise, it is there! And it is longing to be heard and listened to by you) • How we can heal from our negative thoughts while realizing that our “inner terrible someone” can also be a catalyst for growth and curiosity about ourselves • How you can learn to love fear instead of repelling it, and how our “ITS” are a valuable way to connect with other people Take a listen to this very special episode and let me know what you think!

Agape refers to the ancient Greek word for close affiliation, deep affection and secure attachment. In the 21st century, our definition of love has been so narrowly restricted by society that, until we begin to explore the meaning of agape, we are often oblivious to this universal love flow. Agape is the love for a child, a friend, a parent, and our Goddess. Boundless, eternal and without condition. That is agape. Phoberos means "fearful." Phoberos represents our shadow self, the parts of our psyche that we are afraid of. The thing with fear is what we often fear the most is our own ability to be fearsome. While our shadow turns our fear towards our true selves, it is also the power-seat of our ability to be toxic to others. This meditation guides you through embracing agape and releasing phoberos to help heal into your unique self. Based on an exercise in Keeping Her Keys, that explores the Love/Fear titles of Hekate. Have you ever learned something and wondered, why weren't we taught this in school? And what would our interactions and lives be like if we were? So in today's episode (which marks one year bringing this podcast to you!) we're debriefing our interview with Patricia on uncovering suppressed history, exploring how our lives are informed by the history presented to us, the effect suppressed history has on our everyday lives, and reflecting on what we've learned in the past year of doing this work together. We're exploring: A powerful story from Courthney's of the moment he made the shift to live and fight from a place of love instead of fear How oppression has become even more dangerous in some ways today vs historically The disturbing thing about how (and why) history can be suppressed Core goodness in humans vs THIS other powerful core motivator The singular goal of several large systems in the US, and the effort it took to create them (and what's needed to dismantle them) What we need to combat the hostility that is still present in this culture ONE question that's still very much alive in the US, but shouldn't be And more!
