Creature Features, Part 2: Attack of the Atom Age!: “Them!” (1954) and “The Brain That Wouldn’t Die” (1962) Sit around the soda fountain, and enjoy a milkshake with us as we fire up our time machines to the land of apple pie and baseball: the American ‘50s and ‘60s. This guilted age yields a tremendous amount of nostalgia, but what lies on screen at the nearest drive-in paints a picture of what was really lurking beneath the surface: a fear of foreign invaders, a distrust of science, and the saturation of sexism prevalent in the era. We go on a journey and find out Bob knows way to much about Cinemax late night hour movies of the 80's and 90's. Sylvias pick is 1986's Trick r Treat and we find out that this movie is more treat then trick! The only trick we get is Janitor Matt.
7. Slashers: Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1983) & Intruder (1989) In this weeks episode we talk about two hidden and maybe not gems, slasher movies. First pick is Bob's Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1983). This one will have you thinking, what did i just watch. Sylvias pick is Intruder (1989), who has Bruce Campbell in it, need we say more....
6. Double Feature of Anthologies: Uncanny (1977) and Deadtime Stories (1986) In this episode Sylvia, Bob and door holder Matt discuss. Uncanny and Deadtime stories. Find out why Bob and Sylvia love uncanny and what they refer to as the cutest horror movie all time, its a movie with Cats as one of the lead characters. its Paws-ably the most adorable, as may exclaims it is Purrrr-fect. They also watch another masterpiece called Deadtime Stories, which has a really great soundtrack. check it out and don't PAWS this episode.
5. Double Feature: Deathline (raw meat)(1972) and Skinner (1993) Sylvia, Bob and really loud Janitor Matt, discuss Sylvia’s choice Deathline also known as Raw Meat and Bob pick is Skinner. These are horror films dealing with food....wait not food but cannibals. Tune in and see which movie is Horrorgasmo approved!
Episode 4. Double Feature: GraveRobbers (1988) and Cherry Falls (2000). Sylvia, Bob and Matt discuss there undeniable love for Bob's pick Grave Robbers, the revolutionary film is not to be missed. It was followed then by Sylvias pick Cherry Falls starring Britany Murphy.
Episode 3 the Double Feature is Sylvias choice Leopard Man (1943) and Bob's pick Burn Witch Burn (1962). Sylvia also declares undying love for Taylor Swifts new album. We find out Matt loves to hunt down and commiserate with sick deers and Bob, well bob is just bob.
