Comedy is now illegal in America and by extension Canada... we regret to inform you that this will have to be the final episode of The Franchisees. But boy are we going out with a bang! SPINAL CRAP POO is here to make us all laugh and remind us of the ravages of time! Is this movie worth seeing? Is it fun to be back with the boys again? Or is it just sad? Listen to find out but you know already come on.We also talk about the fate of James Christian Kümmel (aka Jimmy Kimmel) and the late Charlie Kirk (you'll have to wait for our next episode on horror film THE DESCENT to hear our more timely reaction to Charlie "xcx" Kirk)We talk about some movies we've been watching recently like CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN', THE LONG WALK, MO' BETTER BLUES, DEATH LINE, SORRY BABY, EVIL DEAD TRAP 1 & 2, and the late great Robert Redford classics JEREMIAH JOHNSON and THE OLD MAN AND THE GUN.Next week it'll be October (almost) so we're going back to the horror well and spelunking in a deep dark cave to visit our Appalachian friends the "crawlers" in THE DESCENT. In this episode, Dr. Karen Tilstra joins me to discuss ‘The Death Lines' and how it impacts the ways in which we show up as leaders of ourselves, our teams, and our businesses. Karen Tilstra, co-founder and director of Florida Hospital's Innovation Lab, (FHIL), is passionate about helping people discover their own innate creativity. She is an Educational Psychologist who holds a doctoral degree in Creativity, Innovation and Leadership. She has worked in both secondary and higher education in Asia and the United States. She believes she has learned more from students than they have learned from her. Karen enjoys writing, spending time with family and friends, and watching a great movie. She is also known for her idiosyncratic pets, including the pet donkey who taught her that nothing is impossible and her stray dog who resembles a cross between an opossum, raccoon and weasel. The "Dirty Sons of Pitches" are delving through the 1970s of cinema one year at a time, and this episode looks at two movies from 1971, the popular and acclaimed thriller "Deliverance," and the lesser-known low-budget Hammer horror movie "Raw Meat" about an unfortunate cannibal causing trouble in London's underground. Avaialble on Apple and Spotify Episode 385 includes: -R.I.P. Alan Arkin and Ray Stevenson and the studio blockbuster when its budget is north of $300 million. -Nate thinks "Nimona" is an animated fantasy well worth its journey to get here. -Ben declares "Dial of Destiny" a better Indiana Jones avdenture than "Crystal Skull." -By the Decade -- 1972 -- "Delierance" / "Raw Meat" -The guys discuss the Best Picture-nominated tale about a group of men being terrorized by rapist hillbillies and its approach and lasting impact of John Boorman's "Deliverance," and then "Raw Meat," also known as "Death Line," a Hammer horror movie about a cannibal living in the London subway that manages to be so crushingly boring while also being compassionate about its tragic monster figure.

(Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep) يتغلب كيس ومولي على التدخلات القانونية السيبرانية ومحاولة خيانة من ريفيرا لدمج وينترميوت مع نيورومانسر، وينتهي الأمر بكيس يعيش في عالم جديد شجاعأفلام:· Escape from New York (1981)[40][41]· Burst City (1982)[42]· Tron (1982)[43]· Blade Runner (1982)[44]· Brainstorm (1983)[45]· Videodrome (1983)[46]· Repo Man (1984)· The Terminator (1984)· Brazil (1985)· RoboCop (1987)[47]· The Running Man (1987)· Gunhed (1989)[48]· Tetsuo: The Iron Man (1989)· Circuitry Man (1990)[49]· RoboCop 2 (1990)· Hardware (a.k.a. Sugar Hill (1974), Wild Zero (1999), Juan of the Dead (2011). Everyone loves zombie films. Ever since Romero brought them to the screen in 1968 with Night of the Living Dead, they have become one of the horror genre's favorite and most used monster. With this sub-genre flooding the market over the last 2 decades, there are a lot of good films that get buried or forgotten. Because of that, we decided to dig up three titles that we feel need more time in the spotlight. They are all three uniquely different, with more than a little social commentary in there, but all damn entertaining. So sit back, take some notes, and then seek these films out! Movies mentioned in this episode: Beneath the Planet of the Apes (1970), Blacula (1972), Castle of the Living Dead (1964), Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things (1972), Dawn of the Dead (1978), The Dead (2010), Death Line (1972), Juan of the Dead (2011), Night of the Living Dead (1968), Poltergeist (1982), Race with the Devil (1975), Salem's Lot (1979), Scream Blacula Scream (1973), Serpent and the Rainbow (1988), She-Beast (1966), Six-String Samurai (1998), Sugar Hill (1974), Under the Shadow (2016), White Zombie (1932), Wild Zero (1999)
Tyler Hughes and Jeph Savaglio discuss how this latest chapter of the Sniper Adventure Challenge saga went down. Possibly the hardest competition in the country, the adventure was nothing short of epic. Pushing their bodies to the limit in an attempt to win and be considered the best, Tyler and Fred came up short but had more lessons learned. Jeph brings questions as an outsider who has never experienced the competition to allow the listeners a better inside take on what it actually takes to perform at this level and what this competition is all about. A long but very indepth episode that brings you inside this insane competition.
Welcome back to the House of Sammons. In this episdoe, X is for...well, it's a free space this time so X is for...Deathline and Pickman's Muse. Then in the Bumps in the Night segment, we discuss some dark science and follow that up with some more C entries for Attack of the Colossal Collection. Enjoy!
Who will be in the Pelicans "Death Lineup?"
The Paris Metro, engineered by Fulgence Bienvenüe and inaugurated on 19th July, 1900, was far from a world first: London, Budapest and Vienna had all beaten France in the race to create the next generation of subterranean trains. However, this didn't stop Parisian anxiety about their new subway. Would the electric lines kill innocent travellers? Would being so close to sewers expose commuters to disease? Would the Metropolitan become a ‘Necropolitan' - a DEATH LINE? In this episode, Arion, Rebecca and Olly consider the rival proposals for aerial rail systems that could have been built instead; explain why it is that you can get phone signal on the Metro, but not the Underground; and explain why classic calligraphy of the station signs was not widely appreciated at the time… Further Reading: • ‘Secrets of The Paris Metro' (The New York Times, 2000): https://www.nytimes.com/2000/11/19/travel/secrets-of-the-paris-metro.html • ‘Trains, Culture, and Mobility By Benjamin Fraser, Steven D. 2 Guys 5 Movies are back to the 1970s horror movies this week as they cover Frank's top five of 1972. The list includes Bob Clark's Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things, the Donald Pleasance film, Death Line, the somewhat inscrutable The Legend of Boggy Creek, Robert Mulligan's The Other, and Brian De Palma's Sisters. Finally, if you have your own ideas for the podcast, you can also email us with list suggestions at 2guys5movies@gmail.com, and thank you all for listening and your support.
This week Kyle, Jen, and Amy learn a powerful lesson. Not all cannibal movies are masterpieces. It's a harsh lesson to learn but this week we watched the cult British cannibal flick “Death Line” (aka “Raw Meat” in some territories). It results in some interesting conversations about cannibal movies, British horror, and character actors. Plus, more chat about the upcoming Texas Chainsaw thingy and Jen runs down some great movies she's seen recently. In fact... Jen's been Spookin' On: Death Scream (1975) Lady in a Cage (1964) Knife + Heart (2019) This week's pick: Mill of the Stone Woman (1960) Send Us Stuff! We have a PO Box! (It's under Kyle's name but anything you send for Jen and Amy will 100% make it to them unless it's snacks and they the average drops to about 80%-ish. But don't let that deter you!) This month brings Death Line, the twisted tale of cannibals on the London Underground that feed off wayward commuters. But the film does more than pit a monsterous underground dweller against London's students, as writer/director Gary Sherman exposes the monsters that live above as well as below. Shot in the Old Aldwych Tube station and including horror giants Christopher Lee and Donald Pleasance, this month's horror pick is a cult classic on the London Underground.

Late one night at the Russell Square station in the London Underground, university students Patricia and her American exchange student boyfriend Alex find an unconscious man on the stairwell. Fearing that he may be diabetic, Patricia checks his wallet and finds a card that reads James Manfred, OBE. They inform a police officer, but find that Manfred has vanished. Inspector Calhoun is assigned to look into the disappearance. Calhoun questions Alex and suggests that he and Patricia robbed the man.Calhoun's colleague tells him about the history of the London Underground, particularly the Victorian railway workers who constructed the tunnels under dire conditions, and an urban legend that a group of descendants who survived an 1892 cave-in still live belowground. Meanwhile, one of the last surviving members of a family of these railway workers watches his pregnant female companion die; they have survived in the underground by resorting to cannibalism of the patrons. In an empty chamber, Manfred's body lies, mutilated. The man, now left in complete solitude, goes into a brutal murderous rage!.Death Line premiered in London on November 17, 1972 as a double bill with The Triple Echo and was later released in the United States under the title Raw Meat on October 3, 1973 in an edited cut to avoid an X rating.Something HorrificParasitehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xH0HfJHsaYCallshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfpzdSJlv6oNosferatuhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1Rachk7ipIMy Best Fiendhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lae8FewbnuU$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$£$Just in case anyone has too much money and wants to give a bit to us to help with our hosting n stuff. On the second half of the episode, I look at a terrific collection of 1970s horror available at the Criterion Channel. Critics Beatrice Loayza and Christina Newland join me to discuss the pleasures and politics of the movies, including: Death Dream, Tobe Hooper's The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, George Romero's The Crazies, Death Line, and special bonus title, The Velvet Vampire, directed by Stephanie Rothman.
