About Overwhelmed Mom: Quiet the Chaos, Mind What Matters, and Enjoy Your Life AgainIs there a happy medium between Pinterest perfection and chaos culture?Moms hear a chorus of competing messages. One minute, we're told we can do it all, and the next, we're encouraged to be “real women” who live as “Hot Mess Mombies.” Both anthems—perfection and chaos—leave us feeling burdened. In Overwhelmed Mom, Jamie Erickson shows us how to push back against the weariness epidemic that plagues so many women on both ends of the spectrum. Through biblical principles and flexible solutions, she'll help us learn to adjust our homes, schedules, and attitudes so that we may experience right-now relief and forward movement in common stress areas. The Try-Hard gospel of the world assures us that if we just got up earlier, stayed up later, and micromanaged every waking moment, we can outrun our overwhelm. But no amount of running on empty will ever help us catch up. Reshaping a harried life is long-game, soul work.Overwhelmed Mom equips women to edit their lives with intention, find purpose and vision in the work God has called them to, and create daily rhythms that will help them steward their days with delight, not drudgery. Each chapter ends with questions and prompts for readers to consider as they unmoor themselves from the relentless to-do list that plagues them.We don't have to keep living as overwhelmed moms—Jamie invites us to experience freedom and enjoy the gift of motherhood.Purchase a copy of Overwhelmed Mom here.Connect with Jamie EricksonWebsite | Facebook | Pinterest | Instagram | YouTube Jamie Erickson can be found encouraging and equipping a growing tribe of mothers all across the globe on the Momto Mom podcast, through her blog The Unlikel

GO FORWARD CONFERENCE '25| EPISODE 4| THE OTHER LITTLE SHIPS| CHIMDI OHAHUNA| GRACELIFECOMI PODCAST Mark 4:35–36 | Knowing the Principles of Jesus In this revelatory episode, we sail into one of Jesus' most overlooked principles for success: recognizing and valuing the “other little ships” journeying alongside us. When Jesus crossed to the other side, He wasn't alone—and neither are you. Are you feeling like the only one? That mindset breeds burnout. God told Elijah about 7,000 people who still kept their consecration and were not said to be prophets (1 Kings 19:18). Also, Elijah connected with Elisha, a farmer, not a prophet by office. Beloved, your journey is surrounded by others carrying similar consecration, even if their titles differ. This episode unpacks: -

Author, journalist and TV personality Nick Pope worked for the British government for 21 years, at the Ministry of Defense. In the course of his career, he served in a number of different posts, but is best known for work that he did between 1991 and 1994, when he was posted to a division where his duties included investigating reports of UFOs. The purpose of these investigations was to see whether anything reported might pose any threat to the defense of the UK, or suggest the existence of anything that might be of more general defense interest. Most sightings turned out to be misidentifications of ordinary objects or phenomena, but a small percentage remained unexplained. Contrary to popular belief, there was no definitive evidence that any of these sightings were extraterrestrial in origin. However, the Ministry of Defense remained open-minded about the possibilities and took no position on the existence of extraterrestrial life. Nick Pope was initially skeptical about UFOs, but his official research and investigation convinced him that whatever the nature of the sightings that remained unexplained, the UFO phenomenon raised important defense, national security and air safety issues. He was particularly interested in cases where the witnesses were pilots, or where UFOs were tracked on radar. More recently, Nick Pope has been involved in the program to declassify and release the MoD's UFO files and send them to the National Archives. This involved selecting some cases that would be of interest to the media, making a film to promote the release and giving newspaper, TV and radio interviews to publicize the story. Nick Pope left the Ministry of Defense in 2006. He now works as a freelance journalist and media commentator, writing and broadcasting on a wide range of subjects, including UFOs, the unexplained, conspiracy theories, fringe science, defense, intelligence, space and science fiction. Nick Pope works with a wide range of film companies, TV networks and production companies, helping develop ideas for new films, TV shows and documentaries. He contributes regularly to various news programs, chat shows and documentaries. Nick Pope works with various PR, marketing and advertising agencies, promoting sci-fi films and advertising campaigns themed around the unexplained. He has worked for clients that include Microsoft, 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures and has been involved in promoting The X-Files: I Want To Believe and the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still. Nick Pope lectures all around the world and this has included addressing the Oxford Union and the Cambridge Union Society, as well as speaking at the Science Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and Global Competitiveness Forum 2011. Nick Pope has written four books, all of which have been published by Simon & Schuster. His non-fiction books are Open Skies Closed Minds, about UFOs, and The Uninvited, about the alien abduction mystery. Both books made the Top Ten in the Sunday Times list of hardback non-fiction books, with Open Skies Closed Minds reaching number three and staying in the Top Ten for ten weeks. These books have been translated into various foreign languages. Nick Pope has also written two science fiction novels about an alien invasion, Operation Thunder Child and Operation Lightning Strike. There have been discussions about producing a film or a TV miniseries based on these books. Nick Pope lives in London. - www.nickpope.netBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-x-zone-radio-tv-show--1078348/support.Please note that all XZBN radio and/or television shows are Copyright © REL-MAR McConnell Meda Company, Niagara, Ontario, Canada – www.rel-mar.com. This is a Grave Talks CLASSIC EPISODE! For Paige Stone, the supernatural was never a mystery—it was a constant companion. Before she even learned to tie her shoes, she was seeing things no one else could: flickering shadows, voices in empty rooms, and presences that came without warning. Most children outgrow their imaginary friends. Paige's never left. In her book The Uninvited: A Collection of True Life Supernatural and Paranormal Experiences, Paige reveals a lifetime spent living side by side with spirits—some gentle, others deeply unsettling. These weren't the fleeting chills of a haunted house visit. They were full-fledged interactions with forces that seemed to claim her attention, her home, and sometimes her peace. But instead of running from the paranormal, Paige leaned in. Her journey became one of understanding and connection—an attempt to bridge the gap between the living and the dead, and to help others recognize the unseen energies shaping their own lives. Today on The Grave Talks, Paige Stone takes us deep into her world: a life surrounded by the inexplicable, where every whisper, shadow, and shiver tells a story. Because some guests don't need an invitation… they're already here. Chances are, you know what it feels like to carry the heaviness of grief. You know that grief is messy and non-linear, with no way around it. Katie Huey is a certified grief educator and coach who knows personally what grief can do to a life. She has a beautiful way to help people find words when they don't know what to say, and reminds us that grief doesn't have to be so isolating. Abby Waychoff is an occupational therapist, yoga instructor, and the heart behind Mother Lover. She walks alongside women through pregnancy and postpartum, and she also creates space for those in the midst of grief. This roundtable sits in the tender middle where grief and everyday life meet. Abby shares losing her sister—her person—and how that reshaped motherhood, work, and identity. Katie reflects on losing her dad unexpectedly and the decade-long evolution of grief that led to her new book, Grief Cookies and Other Comforting Things. Together we talk language (what helps, what harms), parenting through loss, making meaning without forcing timelines, and building rituals that let our people stay present in our lives. In this episode: When the world keeps spinning: That frozen-in-time feeling after loss—and how to function when the calendar won't wait.Permission to feel both: Joy and sorrow coexisting; why “time heals” isn't the whole story.Words that help (and don't): Moving beyond “there are no words”; simple phrases that land with care.Parenting & grief: Telling the truth at kid-level; navigating family trees, school projects, and curious classmates.Rituals that root us: Ofrendas, Día de los Muertos, photo traditions, quilts from loved ones' clothes, and everyday anchors (toast with cream cheese & jelly).Coping vs. numbing: Movement, nature, journaling/blogging, creative outlets—and how compartmentalizing can be a short-term tool, not a forever plan.Community & support: Why we shouldn't do grief alone; finding your “me too” people.Identity shifts: Career pivots, creative work, and the exfoliation of “shoulds” after loss.Practical Practices You Can TrySay something simple: “This sucks. I'm here with you.” / “I don't know what to say, but I'm not going anywhere.”Micro-comforts: Warm drink, a short walk, fresh air on your face, a favorite song—tiny signals of safety to your nervous system.Ritualize remembrance: A photo on the mantle, a yearly ofrenda, a recipe they loved, a shared song—light, repeatable touchpoints.Kid-level honesty: Offer age-appropriate truth, answer questions directly, and let the story grow with them.Name the cycle: “This wave will pass. Another may come. We can ride them together.”Key TakeawaysGrief doesn't vanish; it changes shape. Some years are softer, some spike. Both are normal.Language matters. Avoid timelines and silver linings; choose presence over fixes.Compartmentalizing can help you move through the day—return to the feelings when you have capacity.Traditions keep people with us. Rituals don't need to be fancy to be meaningful. You don't have to do this alone. Support—professional, peer, spiritual, creative—lightens the lift.Loss can catalyze aligned living—a clearer yes, a braver no, a gentler pace.About Our GuestsAbby Waychoff — Mom, OT by training, and current mental health counseling grad student. After losing her sister, Abby's work and life pivoted toward grief, meaning-making, and aligned living.Katie Huey — Coach, writer, and facilitator focusing on language for hard things. Author of Grief Cookies and Other Comforting Things: Finding Beauty in Life After Loss (Pub day: today in the episode timeline). Discover how to cultivate a more loving and supportive environment with your mate.Introduction:Have you ever wondered why a little comment can cause such a big argument with your spouse?Fighting lies with truthLie #14 (for women):My husband's attitude makes no sense to me. He gets so upset when I make even the smallest comment in front of others about something he did wrong. The truth:Husbands fear FUTILITY, the sense that they don't measure up. That's why my AFFIRMATION, refusing to CRITICIZE publicly, and PHYSICAL intimacy build up his confidence.Key verse:Philippians 2:3-4Lie #15 (for men):My wife's attitude makes no sense to me. If I joke about her gaining weight or take notice of other women, she comes unglued. The truth:Women fear ABANDONMENT, of losing the relationship. That's why saying “I LOVE you,” being a good LISTENER, and showing AFFECTION in public build up her sense of belonging.Key verse:Philippians 2:3-4Broadcast ResourceDownload Free MP3Message NotesAdditional Resource MentionsMarriage Truth Cards Offer"Uninvited Guests" ResourcesConnect888-333-6003WebsiteChip Ingram AppInstagramFacebookTwitterPartner With UsDonate Online888-333-6003

There has been a dramatic shift in the family dynamic over the last 50 to 60 years. Back then, men typically went to work to earn money, while women managed the house and cared for the kids. In this program, Chip Ingram raises a few vital questions: how does this traditional structure compare to the realities of how families function now? And what does the Bible have to say about the roles men and women play in their households? Join us for those profound answers!Introduction:“Relationships just don't work well when the man neglects to take the lead when he should, neglects to make decisions at home, and fails to be proactive in his involvement with his family.” -“Passive Men, Wild Women” by Pierre MornellFighting lies with truthLie #12 (for men):Husbands are to earn the money and wives are to take care of the kids and the house. The truth:As a husband, I am the SERVANT LEADER in our home. I am responsible to provide for and protect my family's physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, as I MODEL Jesus every day.Key verse:Ephesians 5:1-2Lie #13 (for women):My husband is almost like another child I have to take care of. If I didn't handle our finances, the house, our children, and major decisions, this place would fall apart tomorrow. The truth:When I take care of everything myself, I'm actually usurping my husband's GOD-GIVEN role. Until I STOP taking care of everything, my husband will never step up and lead.Key verse:Proverbs 3:5-6Breaking the cycleWomen: Refuse to do things that are your spouse's jobMen: Step up and own the responsibilityBroadcast ResourceDownload Free MP3Message NotesAdditional Resource MentionsMarriage Truth Cards Offer"Uninvited Guests" ResourcesConnect888-333-6003WebsiteChip Ingram AppInstagramFacebookTwitterPartner With UsDonate Online888-333-6003

In this program, Chip stresses the devastating impact unresolved conflict has on a marriage. Every marriage will eventually face struggles and arguments over four key areas:RolesIn-lawsMoneySexFighting lies with truthLie #9:Getting help for our marriage from a counselor or a mentor is for losers. We should be able to figure this out on our own, and besides, we don't want to broadcast our problems. The truth:Every great athlete, artist, and business executive knows the value of a COACH. We all get stuck on occasion and need help to work through the issues we can't see for ourselves.Key verse:1 Peter 5:5Lie #10 (for women):All he cares about is work and sports. I feel like I'm left to do all the work of raising our kids and taking care of our home. I wonder sometimes if he even cares. The truth:Men default to areas where they feel confident. Your husband has fears and insecurities about being a SPIRITUAL LEADER and EFFECTIVE FATHER. Criticism and disrespect will heighten those fears and push him away.Key verse:1 Peter 3:1-2Lie #11 (for men):All my wife cares about is the kids and the calendar. Our sex life is on life support because she's always tired or making excuses. Sometimes I wonder if she even cares. The truth:Women default to areas where they feel confident. Your wife has fears and insecurities about her VALUE, IDENTITY, and physical ATTRACTIVENESS. Sarcasm about sex, her looks, or her preoccupation with the kids will only reinforce her feelings of inadequacy.Key verse:Ephesians 5:28-29Broadcast ResourceDownload Free MP3Message NotesAdditional Resource MentionsMarriage Truth Cards Offer"Uninvited Guests" ResourcesConnect888-333-6003WebsiteChip Ingram AppInstagramFacebookTwitterPartner With UsDonate Online888-333-6003

When tackling an important project, it is natural to want to divide all the tasks fairly, so everyone shares the responsibilities and weight of the job. However, in this program, Chip Ingram cautions that while that strategy may be successful in the workplace, it often causes stress, burnout, and resentment at home. Hear what God's Word says about an all-in partnership with your spouse, that is deeply rewarding and life-giving.Fighting lies with truthLie #6:Marriage is a 50-50 proposition. As long as everyone does their part everything will be okay. The truth:Marriage is a 100%-100% proposition. It is an UNCONDITIONAL commitment to an imperfect person. It's giving the other person what they need the MOST, when they DESERVE it the least, at great PERSONAL COST.Key verse:John 13:34-35Lie #7:Marriage shouldn't be this difficult. No matter how hard I work it seems like we always have issues to work through. I really wonder if it's worth it.The truth:Everything of great value requires COMMITMENT, SACRIFICE, and PERSEVERANCE. As my spouse and I face challenges and overcome them, our intimacy and joy will far outweigh our present problems.Key verse:Galatians 6:9Lie #8:I've tried hard to make this marriage work, but it's too far gone. God wants me to be happy and I know He'll understand if I get a divorce. The truth:God HATES divorce. No marriage is beyond repair. If Jesus can raise the dead, He can certainly RESURRECT my marriage.Key verse:Malachi 2:16Broadcast ResourceDownload Free MP3Message NotesAdditional Resource MentionsMarriage Truth Cards Offer"Uninvited Guests" ResourcesConnect888-333-6003WebsiteChip Ingram AppInstagramFacebookTwitterPartner With UsDonate Online888-333-6003
