I Love You, I Know

This week, Amanda & Kevin take "what if" to the next level and debate which teams would win in battles, entertainment, rom-coms, or control of the galaxy. Does the canon have it right? Or is there a better team? Why is Grogu on the list? Who is the best bartender? This one was so fun we'll probably do it again!

What if everything was different? Would anything change? This week Kevin & Amanda tackle how the events of the Galaxy Far Far Away would change if key moments unfolded differently. What could cause Palpatine to not become Emperor? And what change ends with the Death Star not becoming operational? What if Kevin does the intro? These and more this week!

... Who's the most Jedi of them all? This week, Amanda & Kevin discuss what it means to be a Jedi, and who is the most Jedi of the Jedi we know. Is it Luke? Or Rey? Or Dooku? Or Qui Gon? Maybe Grogu? Or someone else? What does it really mean to be a Jedi? Should there be a new Jedi Code to match what we think? The answer to at least one of these questions is YES!

In this continuation from last week, Amanda & Kevin finish the better half of The Mandalorian Season 2. This half has a couple of Jedi (well... one not Jedi and one Jedi Master so it averages out), more battles, characters, plot, really everything that makes a good story. And it sets up 4 (you read that right 4!!) shows for the next season. Get as excited as we are and ready for a long show. There's too much good stuff to fit in an hour!

It's time for Season 2 of the Mandalorian! In this spoiler heavy episode, Amanda & Kevin talk about the first half of Season 2. Dragons, romantic frogs, armor, a princess... no it's not a fairy tale, it's a space western! 

This week, Disney announced 10 new TV shows and 2 new Star Wars movies, all to launch in the next 3 years. Amanda & Kevin break down the list of what we're excited about, what we could live without, and our hopes for what we're about to see. We've got a lot of content to watch, and we're here for it!

We have (and are) guests!! It's a 2020 Life Day miracle! Amanda & Kevin are joined by Jen & Brandon to talk about the Star Wars Lego Holiday Special and break down all of the jokes, cameos, timeline violations, and Life Day miracles. A special as unlike the original as possible, we all liked it so much we watched it twice!

In a continuation of last week Amanda & Kevin complete the story of the lives of Palpatine. Ever the schemer, he ran both sides of a galactic war, overthrew the Jedi Council, built several large armies to dominate the galaxy, and ultimately died twice at the hands of his chosen successor. Time for a new character story... the Sithy-est Sith of Them All, student of Darth Plagueis the Wise, the one and only Emperor - Sheev Palpatine. In this episode Amanda & Kevin talk about the early life and rise of Palpatine, from his school days to his recruitment to the Sith to his rise to Chancellor of the Republic. Lots of stories of political intrigue and setups for the next episode where we round out his story. Super appropriate for Election Night Eve.

We're back! After a summer break Amanda & Kevin return to talk truth and rumors about the exciting new Star Wars content on the horizon. More Baby Yoda (yay!). More Boba Fett (huh?). And more Kenobi... but with an old friend we're not too sure about. Everything we're looking forward too and more as Season 2 of I Love You, I Know gets under way!

Amanda & Kevin are back from a week off with a discussion about a favorite hero's weaker moments. Our subject has enough screen time that we see him make quite a few mistakes... Most of our episodes are mostly about Star Wars, but in this one Amanda & Kevin focus on love and relationships in the galaxy far, far away. We have some great examples of love, a few of what not to do, a deadbeat dad, and some complicated Sith love. There are diverse relationships, same sex love, and even a person and a droid. We cover well more than a dozen relationships in this roundup, with a shout out to Kevin's parents' 46th wedding anniversary.

We've reached the end of the story of the Phoenix Squadron (for now...). Amanda & Kevin discuss Season 4 of Rebels. We finally have an uplifting ending and a real romantic relationship to discuss, but it comes at a price. Learn the fate of our new Rebel friends, their enemies, and how we get to Loth-freedom.

Rebels Season 2 was mostly a setup, and Amanda & Kevin have the payoff! Season 3 closes out all of the open story lines from Season 2. And as a bonus, you get a look into our relationship in place of any real romantic stories in this season. But get ready - next week we talk Season 4 of Rebels and it is quite the ride.

This week, Amanda & Kevin talk about Season 2 of Rebels, where everything starts and nothing ends. We meet a bunch of new characters, start some new stories, people grow and change, but ultimately everything is left open for seasons 3 & 4 to wrap up. Also there are some legendary deep thoughts from Yoda, interpreted differently by our hosts, they may be.

Time to meet the crew of the Ghost! Amanda & Kevin discuss Star Wars Rebels in general and Season 1 in particular. Meet the Specters, their Imperial enemies, and some surprising allies. As the series matures, so do Ezra (aka Aladdin) and the Rebellion. Season 1 is light on plot but heavy on character and sets us up for the next few weeks on the other 3 seasons.

Once again, we find ourselves at the end of the Clone Wars. Season 5 didn't end it, Episode III didn't end it, even Season 6 didn't close it out. Amanda & Kevin break down the real final season of the Clone Wars including the Siege of Mandalore and a new look at Order 66. This is a fitting and poignant end to an amazing series, including one of the new best battles in all of Star Wars. With this chapter finally closed, we look forward to more stories of the days of the Empire and beyond.

This week, Amanda & Kevin tell the story of Maul (at one time Darth, mostly just Maul). This tale spans 2 movies, 2 shows, and takes place from the beginning of the Clone Wars to just before the Rebellion. From a fairly one-dimensional fighter character in The Phantom Menace, Maul grows to a thoughtful (though often insane) crime lord fueled by a desire for revenge. So then why is this a tragedy? Listen to find out.

This week Amanda & Kevin take on a 16-question quiz we found in a tweet. Even though they are all opinion questions, Kevin still manages to get one wrong. We also find out that, as usual, we agree on most things - even when we're trying to be controversial. Enjoy the banter and learn about some new Legends characters that we have not talked about yet.

We cover the when, who, and what happened of the first season. Like the show, we call back to other Star Wars movies and shows, and debate whether Mando can find love or just imagine it. We do not explain fobs. This is the Way.

The Skywalker Saga is at an end. Amanda & Kevin discuss Episode IX: The Rise of ... doesn't matter. Don't worry about it. This is some great Star Wars. Good wins. Evil loses. Characters develop. New Force powers appear. Not everything needs to be explained. The nonology goes out on a high note. Enjoy this one as much as we did!

So here we are... Amanda & Kevin discuss Episode VIII, the movie we "hate to hate". To the people who really like this movie: You may want to skip this podcast. To everybody else: Enjoy! - especially the alternate ending that we all deserve. This is the movie that gave us the idea for this show, so for that we should be grateful. Also, there's more wisdom from Yoda. And 150 minutes of other stuff. Here we go...

We've made it to the post-quels. After a loose start, Amanda & Kevin talk about Episode VII: The Force Awakens (aka A Newer Hope). New characters, old friends, new relationships, some stressed by time, and a love affair that surprised us all! We also meet the worst son and bad guy in the galaxy. It's time to cover what is quite possibly both Amanda and Kevin's favorite Star Wars movie, Rogue One. Meet (at least briefly) a whole new cast of characters in a familiar setting just before the events of A New Hope. Lots of callbacks to other Star Wars episodes (and a few of our own podcasts) in this one. Red 5 standing by?

This week, Amanda & Kevin cover Solo: A Star Wars Story, a tale of love, crime, and... well a lot of crime. We'll talk you through more cringe worthy scenes so you don't have to watch them, and try to find a bright side to the rise of the Emperor (spoiler alert - we do!). Like the movie, this episode is a little long. But unlike the movie, you'll enjoy every minute of it!

In a packed show, Amanda & Kevin cover the end of The Clone Wars show. Weird things happen and we don't just mean Yoda's trip to the "source of all life" Lots of lying, mistrust, deception... by the Jedi?!? Jar Jar goes on a date? What is the Chamber of Judgment? (Sounds like a Harry Potter thing but that's a whole other podcast) We close with some important lessons about relationships that you definitely should not miss.
