The Brothers Krynn come back on the pod to share their fan fiction idea, The Kenobi Timeline. Inspired by the Legends novel, Secrets of the Jedi, the story follows the what-if scenario of Obi-Wan and Obi-Wan's lover, Siri secretly having a child. From there events unfold unexpectedly, especially with lesser-known companions of Anakin and Obi-Wan who are the focus of the narrative. Each of these characters has a fully fleshed-out backstory with motivations that weave into but never contradict the events of the Prequels. Once upon a time, in a Galaxy far far away, Anakin Skywalker asked Qui Gon Jinn, "I've been wondering, what are Midi-Chlorians?" Ever since then, Star Wars fandom has not been the same, debating the concept of a biological explanation to the mystical Force and whether it belongs in the canon. In the post-George era, Lucasfilm has shied away from even mentioning Midi-Chlorians, often using M-Count until finally The Bad Batch finally courageously mentioned them explicitly.Today, in what is a little preview of what Star Wars Celebration Japan has in store for us, Professor Scotty Jayro from The Bombadcast joins us to talk about his University Stage panel, a masterclass presentation which will expand on his video essay, Understanding The Importance of Midi-chlorians & The Force. It is truly an insightful and meaningful discussion about our place in this galaxy and our symbiosis with everything and everyone.Additionally, Lucasfilm decided to drop the Andor Season 2 trailer the same day we recorded this so of course we needed to react and discuss it!• • •Triad of the Force is a channel which was featured on the Podcast Stage at Star Wars Celebration 2022 and 2023, featuring Nani and Gus, lifelong Puerto Rican friends who after years of discussing the media they love, came together and created their show. 🌟 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FrikingosGalaxy X (antes Twitter): https://x.com/FrikingosGalaxy Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/frikingosdelagalaxia/?hl=es YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@frikingosdelagalaxia4365 Ivoox: https://www.ivoox.com/podcast-frikingos-galaxia-cine-y_sq_f1417787_1.html Apple Podcast: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/frikingos-de-la-galaxia-cine-y-ocio/id1479825939 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/0LCxVBSt3Kt9cDhlcLKeZc
Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/Datacrons
Welcome to Databank Brawl Rewind! Databank Brawl was a series that ran on ForceCenter from 2016 to 2020 and it remains one of our more beloved shows. Though Databank Brawl is on hiatus, we wanted to celebrate it along with the longtime listeners of the podcast and reintroduce it to the ForceCenter listeners who began listening to the podcast after the end of the show's run. Though all of the episodes remain on our podcast feed it can be daunting to scroll back and find them, so we're launching Databank Rewind. Plo Koon is sent to find the source of a distress signal sent to the Jedi Temple. Plo & his Bros search during a sand storm and find a ship that crashed ages ago. Plo discovers a lightsaber in the wreckage. Plo Spacetimes(™) the temple and tells them the ship belonged to long-lost Jedi Master Sifo-Dyas. The council reminds the viewers that Sifo-Dyas was the one who ordered the production of the clone army without the blessing of the council or the senate. Sifo-Dyas was sent to Falucia to negotiate a peace and he was killed there. No one knows what happened to his body since the Chancellor has ordered the files sealed. Yoda sends Obi-Wan and Anakin to Felucia to investigate, while he himself speaks with Chancellor Palpatine. Palpatine tells Yoda the prior Chancellor Valorum sealed the files. Valorum tells Yoda that Sifo-Dyas was to speak with the Pykes, a group that runs the spice trade, and he locked the files so that news didn't get out; as speaking with the Pykes would be like negotiating with the Taliban in the aughts. Based on Palpatine's comments, Yoda believed a second Jedi was with Sifo-Dyas, but Valorum assures Yoda that only his personal aide, Silman, accompanied Sifo-Dyas.Palpatine, as Sidious, Spacetimes(™) Dooku to have him cover his tracks and stop the Jedi investigation on Felucia. Obi-Wan and Anakin speak with the Pykes, after some Jedi persuasion the Pykes admit they shot down Sifo-Dyas' ship and gave his body to Lord Tyranus, but kept Silman alive and imprisoned. The Pykes offer Silman (now a crazy loon after all this time in solitary) to the Jedi to settle the affair. Meanwhile, Dooku shows up on Felucia, fights his way through some guards, and force-chokes Silman while literally standing right behind Obi-Wan and Anakin. A lightsaber duel ensues, during which it is revealed that Dooku is Tyranus! Dooku escapes. The boys inform the council of what they discovered. Yoda tells everyone they must keep it a secret so as not to discredit the creation of the clones and the war effort. The Jedi have leared that Dooku is the person who ordered the clone army: Yoda is meditating on this knowledge when he hears the voice of Qui-Gon Jinn, who explains that he has become part of the living force. Yoda informs the council and they all meditate together, but no one else hears the voice from beyond. In order to determine if the voice is truly from the Force, or a trick by the Sith, Yoda undergoes a meditative trance/induced coma in a sensory deprivation tank. Yoda sees a vision of a swamp planet and the voice of Qui-Gon tells him he must go to Dagobah to complete what Qui-Gon could not. Skywalker escorts Yoda to a hangar, where R2-D2 and Yoda depart for Dagobah in a fighter.R2 stays with the fighter in a desperate attempt to avoid any issues with him being on Dagobah with Master Yoda and knowing both how to get there and exactly who Yoda is. Yoda speaks more with Qui-Gon, who explains that he is now outside of linear time, like the Prophets of Bajor or Dr. Manhattan. Yoda sees visions of the dark future to come. Qui-Gon explains that Yoda he has been chosen to learn how to become part of the Force after death, as Qui-gon was, so that he can be a voice of light in the times to come. Yoda departs Dagobah, letting the Force guide him towards the origin of life in the Galaxy.https://twitter.com/ClosingCrawlhttps://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/closing-crawl/id1530133296https://www.closingcrawl.com/Merch at: https://bit.ly/spacetimetm

The Jedi have been catching a bit of heat on the podcast recently because of The Acolyte. In thinking about The Phantom Menace, Qui-Gon Jinn was pretty cavalier about not being on Tatooine to free slaves. But does he deserve the heat, too? Maybe not... Punch it! (Enjoy the show? The Acolyte starts off a hundred years before the end of revenge of the Sith. The premise is that the Jedi have lived in peace for hundreds of years, until now, where a dark side user grows their powers in the shadows. The show begins with Mae, the evil twin hell bent on killing 4 Jedi masters on some crusade for reasons we don't know yet, enters a village bar and challenges carry Anne moss to the death, she is bested until she throws a dagger at the bar keep to which Jedi trinity saves, leaving her guard down to die by a dagger. I was surprised to learn that daggers are more lethal than lightsabers after the Kenobi show and how Anakin's lightsaber through Reva's chest wasn't effective, and then Vader's lightsaber through adult Reva, as well. We see Mae's lightside twin, Osha who wakes up on a ship, when her buddy brags about the wild night he and the crew mates had on Nar Shaddaa, nar shaddaa is like Star Wars Vegas. Not much law, crime world ran by the Hutts. Neimodians no longer have their asian accent that George Lucas had all throughout the prequels, maybe these guys are from a different part of the galaxy… The Jedi arrive on the ship and led by Jedi knight Yord and another Jedi, who fills the audience on what the story is. Osha left the order 6 years ago, she was found in a fire when she was around 8, and then they accuse her of killing a Jedi master. But of course, it was her twin. They take her in a prison transport for questioning to Coruscant. It's nice to see coruscant again, as Master Sol trains younglings, when he speaks with Master Vernestra. The backstory is, that Sol saved Osha and saved her from a fire on her home on Brendok as a kid, he doesn't believe that she killed the Jedi Master Trinity. They decide to keep this possibility hush hush as if it were to leak, their political enemies could use it against them. Osha is on the droid ship, it eventually goes down, and she escapes, after saving one of the last inmates, he takes the last pod and she crash lands on some ice planet. As Master sol observes his former apprentice's hologram, we see how he still has attachment to her. He's like a very weak version of Qui-Gon Jinn. Kind of does his own thing, but not as confident or stoic as Qui-Gon. He recognizes the Jedi aren't always right. Osha wakes up and she has a vision of Mae and herself when they were young, during the fire on their home of Brendok. They speak with each other and I feel like there's some force connection dyad thing going on between them to facilitate this. Sol gathers two other Jedi, Yord and dafnee keene's character Jecki, who is a Padawan which is indicated with her braid. He tells the story of Osha and Mae, revealing that they are twin sisters, and that Mae started a fire when they were kids, this fire killed their whole family. They find Osha on the ice planet, she tells them she didn't kill the Jedi Master, Sol believes her, and they take her with them. Mae walks by the beach as she comes to her master, who is saying a Jedi is essentially invincible to metal or lightsabers, except against an acolyte, who fights without a weapon, and just stealths their way through everything. An acolyte kills the dream. Overall I thought was meh, I'm not invested in the characters yet, so it'll take some time. You can't just start killing people off and expecting the viewer to be totally invested in the death of these characters. You have to spend an episode or 2 to get used to them, build their story, let us connect with them, then in episode 3 or 4 or something, they start dropping like flies, and everything just takes off super fast because of the exposition from the first 2 episodes. While browsing the Star Wars Archives by Paul Duncan 1999-2005, I came across this storyboard that was made for the ending battle on Naboo between Maul and Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn. This ending death for Qui-Gon Jinn would have been amazingly action packed. I love finding things like this that almost could have been! Please let me know which one you like more, this ending that we never saw, or the original ending we got in the film? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
