Skeleton Crew foregår mellem Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi og Episode VII: The Force Awakens, og altså i samme tidsperiode som fx The Mandalorian.

The Whiskey Rebellion is back baby! This iteration brings back host Mark Radulich with new Co-Host Ronnie Adams! Tonight's topics include our All Things Star Wars Discussion. We'll discuss All the Star Wars movies, tv shows and video games.Star Wars is an American epic space opera media franchise created by George Lucas, which began with the eponymous 1977 film and quickly became a worldwide pop culture phenomenon. The franchise has been expanded into various films and other media, including television series, video games, novels, comic books, theme park attractions, and themed areas, comprising an all-encompassing fictional universe. Star Wars is one of the highest-grossing media franchises of all time. The original 1977 film, retroactively subtitled Episode IV: A New Hope, was followed by the sequels Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Episode VI: Return of the Jedi (1983), forming the original Star Wars trilogy. Lucas later returned to the series to write and direct a prequel trilogy, consisting of Episode I: The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II: Attack of the Clones (2002), and Episode III: Revenge of the Sith (2005). In 2012, Lucas sold his production company to Disney, relinquishing his ownership of the franchise. This led to a sequel trilogy, consisting of Episode VII: The Force Awakens (2015), Episode VIII: The Last Jedi (2017), and Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker (2019).All nine films, collectively referred to as the "Skywalker Saga", were nominated for Academy Awards, with wins going to the first two releases. Together with the theatrical live action "anthology" films Rogue One (2016) and Solo (2018), the combined box office revenue of the films equated to over US$10 billion, making Star Wars the third-highest-grossing film franchise of all time.Disclaimer: The following may contain offensive language, adult humor, and/or content that some viewers may find offensive – The views and opinions expressed by any one speaker does not explicitly or necessarily reflect or represent those of Mark Radulich or W2M Network.Mark Radulich and his wacky podcast on all the things:https://linktr.ee/markkind76alsoFB Messenger: Mark Radulich LCSWTiktok: @markradulichtwitter: @MarkRadulichInstagram: markkind76

Return to the far, far, away galaxy for a look back at the first of the most recent Star Wars films, "Episode VII: The Force Awakens". Since this was released less than a year before the start of our podcast, we never got the chance to make this movie it's own conversation. Does revisiting this film seven years later do it any favours? Or is it haunted by what became of its sequels? Music and audio from "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is the property of John Williams, Kathleen Kennedy, J.J Abrams, Bryan Burk, Bad Robot Productions, and Lucasfilm Ltd. William Hoy ACE, Tyler Nelson, Will Files, Douglas Murray THE BATMAN post production team of editors Bill Hoy and Tyler Nelson, along with supervising sound editors Will Files and Doug Murray, are justifiably proud of the film they've made.  In breaking the mold of the superhero archetype, they achieved director Matt Reeves' vision of a noir murder mystery that's more in the vein of classis 70's cinema than the glossy blockbusters of the 21st century.  Adding to this feat is the fact that they were forced to shut down one month into production only to return to action in a much more restrictive model of collaboration than they were used to.  In spite of those challenges, audiences and critics alike have responded in a big way to the remarkably fresh take on DC Films' dark knight. The story of THE BATMAN begins two years into his crimefighting legacy, forgoing the usual origin story elements often found in super hero tales, and follows Batman / Bruce Wayne as he ventures into Gotham City's underworld where he must track a sadistic killer prone to leaving behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator's plans becomes clearer, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the city. WILLIAM HOY ACE William Hoy is known for his work on NO WAY OUT (1987), DANCES WITH WOLVES (1990), THE BONE COLLECTOR (1999), DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2014) and WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (2017). TYLER NELSON Tyler Nelson is known for his assistant editing work on THE SOCIAL NETWORK (2010), THE GIRL WITH THE DRAGON TATTOO (2011) and GONE GIRL (2014); as well as his editing work on MINDHUNTER (2017-2019) and SHADOW AND BONE (2021). DOUGLAS MURRAY Douglas Murray is known for his work on THE ENGLISH PATIENT (1996), CLOVERFIELD (2008), DAWN OF THE PLANET OF THE APES (2014), WAR FOR THE PLANET OF THE APES (2017) and ANT-MAN AND THE WASP (2018). Star Wars is an American epic space-opera media franchise created by George Lucas. The franchise began with the eponymous 1977 film and quickly became a worldwide pop-culture phenomenon. The first film, later subtitled Episode IV – A New Hope, was followed by the sequels Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Episode VI – Return of the Jedi (1983), forming what is collectively referred to as the original trilogy. A prequel trilogy was later released, consisting of Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999), Episode II – Attack of the Clones (2002) and Episode III – Revenge of the Sith (2005). Finally, a sequel trilogy began with Episode VII – The Force Awakens (2015), continued with Episode VIII – The Last Jedi (2017), and will conclude with Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker (2019). The first eight films were nominated for Academy Awards (with wins going to the first two released) and were commercially successful. Together with the theatrical anthology films Rogue One: A Star Wars Story (2016) and Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), the films combined box office revenue equates to over US$9 billion, and is currently the second-highest-grossing film franchise. The film series expanded into other media, including television series, video games, novels, comic books, theme park attractions and themed areas, as well as other kinds of media, resulting in an all encompassing fictional universe, which, in 2014, required an almost total reboot, resulting in the formation of the distinct Star Wars Legends continuity of (fictional) events, now obsolete, which includes media preceding the reboot and a few later releases. Star Wars holds a Guinness World Records title for the "Most successful film merchandising franchise". In 2018, the total value of the Star Wars franchise was estimated at US$65 billion, and it is currently the fifth-highest-grossing media franchise of all-time.

Today Jay and I consider the first ‘new’Star Wars movie entry, Episode VII –The Force Awakens. I say it is a new Star Wars movie as it was the first one not created by LucasFilms, as George Lucas had sold his company to Disney, which produced the 2016 entry into the Star Wars oeuvre. It was directed by JJ Abrams and told the story of the Star Wars universe some 30 years after the destruction of the last Death Star.  It is this disruptive nature of the Star Wars franchise that I will focus on today as it relates to disruption innovation in compliance. The film introduced several new characters: Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron, Kylo Ren and the First Order, a successor to the Galactic Empire. The film was largely one giant search for Luke Skywalker who had gone into isolation after his failure to re-establish the Jedi order. In addition to introducing the new characters, we are reunited with Han, Chewbacca and Princess Leia, who is now General Leia Organa. The First Order has developed new weapon, Starkiller, a deliciously worthy successor to the Death Star; the Rebel Alliance majorly disrupts the weapon and the First Order by destroying it, in the film’s climactic battle.  One of the key things the Department of Justice (DOJ) has communicated over the past few months is the importance of doing compliance rather than having a paper compliance program in place. In releasing the new Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Corporate Enforcement Policy, the DOJ emphasized the clear delineation of factors they will consider in determining if a company has an operationalized best practices compliance program in place in the context of a FCPA enforcement action. All of this has required disruptive innovation in compliance beyond the simple paper compliance program which until recently was seen as the norm. This leads to three key elements of disruption theory, which fit the compliance context. The first is that compliance is a process. The second key point is that Compliance 3.0 is very different from compliance programs of the past decade. The third point is that not all disruptive innovations succeed. As many compliance practitioners are lawyers, we are naturally reticent to embrace such change, however I think the pronouncements of the DOJ throughout the year have made even clearer the need for continued evolution of anti-corruption compliance going forward. In The Force Awakens, there were numerous disruptions. We saw the death of one of the most beloved characters in the series, Han Solo, the growing awareness by Rey of her powers and the return of Luke Skywalker. It totally disrupted the First Order and destroyed its most lethal weapon. You can draw on this inspiration for your compliance regime. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

One of the most common criticisms of Episode VIII is that it seemed to diverge so much from everything we thought we knew after Episode VII: The Force Awakens. ***This is a SPOILER FREE episode*** In what is arguably the biggest movie of 2017, Mike, Mike, and Oscar give you a 2 episode discussion of all things Star Wars: The Last Jedi. We had so much fun with our Star Wars talk, that we split the episode into two parts. This is Part One, and THIS ENTIRE EPISODE IS SPOILER FREE. Part 2 coming later this week, will be the Spoiler Version. STAR WARS Episode VIII: The Last Jedi Non-Spoiler Review: Production Profile - 4:50 Film Specs - 16:36 Expectations & Teaser Review - 22:49 Production Values Video/Effects- 27:32 Production Values Audio - 32:16 Performances - 35:25 Final Non-Spoiler Thoughts - 42:00 Stay Tuned for a spoiler filled review and mega deep dive in our next episode. As I said, we had way too much to say about Rian Johnson's recent installment in the Star Wars Saga, Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. We begin with a Production Profile that showcases a miniature profile on Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy, who has a fascinating backstory where she did a whole lot of work with a guy whose name rhymes with “-eelberg.” Then we bring you up to date with the Star Wars story behind the saga, including the hiring & firing of hotshot directors, the untimely death of a legendary actress (RIP Carrie Fisher), and we catch you up to post-Rogue One and Episode VII: The Force Awakens. We round out the profile with some nuggets from the film's production and then Mike #1 whips through the specs on the movie's release, it's monstrous weekend box office, and critical reception in contrast to its perplexing audience score. Since this has become one of the most polarizing films of this or any year, we foreshadow the arc of our upcoming spoiler filled next episode. Basically we're one (two?) giant tease(s). Sorry (we're not sorry). The Mikes dive into all of the eye candy in the film. We discuss why we're all gonna be fooled by the robots when they take over the planet. We also highlight the gasp-worthy visual effects that caused one of us to yell out in a dead silent IMAX theater. Then we finish the spoiler free episode with our review of the acting performances including a major comeback by the great Luke Skywalker himself. Consider this to be the “just the facts” podcast, whereas the follow up will be more opinion based. Stay tuned for our upcoming spoiler-full podcast. You don't wanna miss that one. Please subscribe to us on iTunes, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Soundcloud, and Stitcher. Review, Like, message, and have at us (that's what HE said). We'll happily read your stuff on the air when possible as we've done in previous episodes. Slowly but surely, we're building a list of episodes for your convenience. In this podcast, we break down: -What the book/piece of paper was that (Rey?) seemed to be touching with her voiceover stating, "dark versus light", and where we've seen that before in canon Star Wars lore; -The fact that we didn't see Benecio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, or Snoke's characters in the trailer, and how it could be on purpose to mislead us; -If Finn's significance is more than what's lead on; -Why it's 99.99% possible that we'll (finally!) see a the process of a lightsaber being made; -Why Luke could be the true chosen one, and why he might be the greatest Jedi of all; -and much, much more! Comedian and writer Sam Koch returns to Mind Gap to chat with Justin and Doug about the upcoming movie, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Things start with a breakdown of Episode VII: The Force Awakens, where the trio discuss what they believe they got right and wrong. Then the heroes talk about the Rogue One trailers, what details they gleaned from them, the tone, and what they hope to see in the movie. The boys also talk about what it will be like to see a Star Wars story that doesn’t focus on the Jedi. Things are wrapped up with a throw-down with old man Obi-Wan Kenobi vs. old man Luke Skywalker. Rogue One: A Star Wars Story opens on December 16 in the US, so get your tickets now! Sam also recommends reading The Dark Tower books, as the movie with Matthew McConaughey and Idris Elba comes out in the summer of 2017. There are also comics from Marvel that are being made, which Doug highly recommends.

State of the Empire is Nerdy Show’s Star Wars speculation podcast where we “look for news in Alderaan places”. It's hard to believe it, but we just saw Episode VII: The Force Awakens. It was a real thing that happened. Not a fever dream created by the manic, speculation-steeped state we've been living for the past three years, but an actual movie we sat down and watched. Thank the Maker. Join Cap, Doug, Matt, and Rex as we unload on all our pent-up passion and provide our honest two cents on the movie. Want a spoiler-free review? Cool. Tune into the first couple minutes of this show and hear us tell you how we felt about it in the broadest strokes possible. But after that, the blast doors are open wide as we not just give our praise and criticisms, but ponder what the film implied and what's to come in the next chapter. The speculation of State of the Empire doesn't end here. No, this is but the dawn of a whole new saga. INTERVIEW Star Wars The Force Awakens, Revell... by andelman  Watch this exclusive Mr. Media interview with LOU AGUILERA of Revell, Inc. by clicking on the video player above!  Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience full of devoted model making enthusiasts who can’t wait for me to stop talking and for the man from Revell to start showing… in the NEW new media capital of the world… St. Petersburg, Florida! When it comes to Star Wars, only America’s nuclear codes are held to a higher standard of secrecy. But today we’re tearing the seal off one top secret corner in the universe: the one where scale models of the new Revell toys from the upcoming film, Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens have been hidden away. The plot of the eagerly anticipated movie, which opens in theaters on December 18, 2015, is still under wraps. But today – “Force Friday” – is the start of the long, slow reveal of images, likenesses, toys and other Force Awakens-related merchandise. LOU AGUILERA podcast excerpt: "The scale model design process for Star Wars toys start with Disney and the company that designs the props for the movie. We work directly with them to get access to CAD (computer aided design) data they use to design the actual props for the movie. We give those files and photos to our engineers. Then we decided how to break each model up and into how many pieces: 'Are we designing a product for a 6-year-old? Or for an adult? There are lots of decisions we make along the way. As we do that, we think, 'What's the assembly process going to be for the user?' For a 6-year-old, bigger pieces for smaller hands. For an adult, we can get into more intricate detail and smaller pieces." You can LISTEN to this interview with LOU AGUILERO, VP/GM of REVELL, INC., by clicking the audio player above! I am excited to have Lou Aguilera, vice president and general manager of Revell, Inc., joining me today to give us our first look at the exciting new scale models the company has designed based on The Force Awakens. If this were a movie, TV show or book, I would know what is ahead of us. But because of the great secrecy surrounding every new Star Wars project, you and I will see whatever he has to show for the first time together. What I do know is that these are hyper-realistic, scale plastic models kits of multiple vehicles from the new movie that include lights and sounds that simulating battle action. – I’m told this is a first for this kind of product – along with retractable landing gear, open/close cockpit hatches, wings that open into attack mode, and more. The kits are on store shelves as of today, offering an easy, snap-together design for ages 6-8 that is also a great introduction to modeling. LOU AGUILERA podcast excerpt: "Disney will have a Star Wars spinoff movie next year called Rogue One. We have already started to go through the design and selection process of the types of models and/or droids we may be doing. We have plans in place for the entire trilogy as well as the three spinoff movies." As for Revell, it is probably best known among young men of a certain age for its line of race cars, aircraft and military vehicles. It is an enduring company that can trace its inspiration back to Charles Lindberg’s 1927 solo flight across the Atlantic Ocean. In other words, from “The Spirit of St. Louis” to the Millenium Falcon in less than a century! Key interview moments: • 10:01 An explanation of the initial design process for Star Wars scale models; • 40:14 Revell's plans for toys through the next trilogy of Star Wars films as well as three spinoffs, including Rogue One; • 43:45 Learn what surprising toy is Revell's most enduring model.
