Book Club: Darksaber. John and Matt have re-read the 1995 Star Wars Expanded Universe (Now “Legends”) novel “Darksaber,” and have a fresh review on the work through the lens of hindsight and fan nostalgia. They ask:- Would this hold up for adaptation in the modern era, like Thrawn?- Were creators too obsessed with “Death Star Tech” back then, too?- Are we too nostalgic about the old EU?- Would there be anything here for non-Star Wars fans to enjoy?Let these Jedi Masters show how works like Darksaber pointed the way to a successful future for Star Wars publishing…and whether that guidance is needed again.HostJohn Mills and Matthew RushingIf you're looking for the best Star Wars podcast to hear spirited discussions that embrace the fun of the Galaxy Far, Far Away with none of the fandom baggage, you found it! Star Wars: The Ninth Jedi. Matt and John have their full review of The Ninth Jedi, the first full-length Star Wars: Visions series. Was this bold new take on the Star Wars galaxy worthwhile? They ask:- Is canon-adjacent a worthwhile pursuit in a canon-obsessed era?- Did John's formative childhood love for anime inform his review?- Does this philosophically align with George Lucas' vision of Star Wars?- Will this appeal to a wide enough viewer base?Your favorite Jedi Masters ponder all those questions and more, and point to other canon-adjacent reinterpretations of Lucas' vision have worked in the past.HostJohn Mills and Matthew RushingIf you're looking for the best Star Wars podcast to hear spirited discussions that embrace the fun of the Galaxy Far, Far Away with none of the fandom baggage, you found it! Star Wars Publishing Problems. Inspired by a recent book to a new Barnes & Noble, John asks Matt if his perception lines up with reality. A Jedi Master and his apprentice are sent to investigate a report of mysterious and unexplained occurrences happening on the planet Kharreesh, a distant Outer Rim world. Written and narrated by Joe Mignano
Happy Star Wars Month!!!! Our 3 Jedi Masters in exile have spent the last 10 years watching Luke run from his chores and we're pretty tired of it. A broken Obi-Wan Kenobi is called into the fray to tackle his greatest challenge: a small willful child (AKA Princess Leia). Meanwhile, the Inquisitors are struggling to find the last Jedi in the galaxy through layers of paint and prosthetics. Only one still frightens us, and curiously she only has her face contoured. Reeva (3rd Sister) has the drive and stubbornness of Lord Vader. We've got Flee as a kidnapper, Kumail as a jedi con artist, and the return of Hayden Christensen to spar against his old master and rake him over the coals. Goodness, that Sith is unforgiving!
Everyone's favorite Zabrak, and formerly thought-to-be-deceased Sith Lord, Darth Maul, is back with his very own animated show, Maul: Shadow Lord. In episodes 5 and 6, the Empire has come to Janix, and everything is worse for it. Marrok, the inquisitor who is yet to be fart dust, joins the search for Maul and the two fugitive Jedi. Join Couch Soup contributors Thomas Richards and Iain McParland for Watching Now: Maul Shadow Lord, as they discuss the ups and downs of the show. Is Marrok a good inquisitor? Is Daki a good Jedi Master? Why is the most interesting thing about Lawson his lovelife? And, are there AT LEAST some cool lightsaber battles?! Watching Now: Maul Shadow Lord is a Watching Now podcast from Couch Soup. Join us for reactions, reviews, and excitement about all things Star Wars. With three of the missing Jedi Masters found, the Exile, Kreia, and the rest of the Ebon Hawk's ad hoc (ad hawk?) crew finally head towards the ancient Sith world of Korriban. There they find... well, mostly the same planet that Revan and co. left behind a few years ago, albeit a little more decrepit than usual. Then, its back to Dantooine to confront the reconvened Jedi Council and finally get some long promised answers. Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast
We've been looking forward to experiencing Universal Orlando's brand-new Epic Universe: Dark Universe for well over a year, and finally we made it! Walking through the fog into Darkmoor Village felt like stepping inside a classic monster movie. We rode Curse of the Werewolf and were blown away by Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. There's a reason all the vloggers keep praising this attraction. We also share our thoughts on food, merchandise, characters, and atmosphere. Meeting the NEW Bride and Frankenstein in person was the perfect ending to an unforgettable visit. Next, we joined our friend Tati Perez for a wet and wild time at Halloween Horror Nights Orlando, where ten haunted mazes awaited us—and nonstop Florida rain. But hey - it's a story! We each share our Top 3 horror mazes. Five Nights at Freddy's topped our list with its creepy animatronics, while others impressed with their artistic environments. Between mazes, we wandered through eerie “Scare Zones” like The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane, where trick-or-treaters slowly turned into feral cats under glowing jack-o'-lanterns. What's not to love about spooky season!! There are 4 other “lands” or “portals' at Epic Universe, but to keep to our Halloween theme, we focued on Dark Universe in this episode. To hear more about our entire trip, including our Skywalking Meet-up, Ministry of Magic attraction, and How To Train Your Dragon: Isle of Burke, watch our Livestream dated 10/13.

With Star Wars and Mortal Kombat commanding the spotlight in geek culture, Who Would Win: Unleashed brings you a fight so intense it's almost dangerous to imagine. Eric Holmes steps into the ring with Scorpion, the undead ninja whose vengeance-fueled arsenal is as brutal as it is diverse. We're talking hellfire blasts that burn through any defense, teleportation attacks that turn distance into a death trap, and that iconic spear strike—“Get over here!”—that drags enemies straight into their doom. Eric's not just talking fatalities; he's building a case for a supernatural predator who can fight across realms and finish the job with flawless execution. This isn't a kombatant—it's a relentless force of nature.Across the battlefield, James Gavsie unleashes Mace Windu, the Jedi Master whose mastery of Vaapad makes him one of the most dangerous Force-users in the galaxy. Wielding his signature purple lightsaber, Windu channels dark side energy without succumbing to it, turning an opponent's aggression into his own weapon. James breaks down how Windu's precognition, devastating speed, and raw combat mastery could cut through Scorpion's relentless offense, even in the face of supernatural powers. It's Netherrealm fury versus Jedi discipline, hellfire versus lightsaber, and only one warrior walks away. There's only one way to find out who claims victory—press play.Strap in—this is Who Would Win: UNLEASHED at its finest.Email - whowouldwinunleashed@gmail.comYou can now support us on Patreon at Patreon.com/WhoWouldWinShowCheck out the Who Would Win Unleashed YouTube Channel!Join our Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/whowouldwinshowFollow us on X/Twitter: @jamesgavsie @whowouldwinshowFollow us on IG and Threads: @WhoWouldWinShow @jamesgavsie @theericholmesCheck out the Who Would Win Merch Store:https://saywerd.co/collections/who-whould-win-merchSupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/who-would-win/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacySupport this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/who-would-win/donationsAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

You can watch Austin play through this section of the game right here. In search of the missing Jedi Masters, the Exile and the crew of the Ebon Hawk head towards Onderon. I say "towards" Onderon because before they land, they're driven to the nearby beast moon of Dxun. And that's not the worst of it: Before they can enter the jungles and reconnect with one a series' favorite... they first have to spend a full two hours basically just talking to various crew members, new and old. Whoops. Next Time: Finish up Onderon!
