The Star Wars galaxy is heading straight into the criminal underworld, and we are HERE for it! Join us as we react to the official trailer for Tales of the Underworld, breaking down every moment, every Easter egg, and every mind-blowing reveal. This series is bringing back some of the most legendary outlaws and Force-wielders, and we're diving deep into what it all means!
We finish up our Nightsisters arc with two episodes that, combined, we feel give us the strongest story arc we have had up to this point in Clone Wars. While in the short term it is somewhat overshadowed by the Mortis arc that followed it, in the long term this arc has far reaching effects on the Star Wars universe beyond just the animated shows. This week we begin one of the strongest arcs that Clone Wars has had to date, fleshing out the relationship between Asajj Ventress and Dooku, and adding the Nightsisters to George's highest tier of canon. An excellent episode written by Katie Lucas, it walks the fine line of respecting what came before in the EU while adding just enough new info to make things exciting! Sabine has a sister?? (This episode has nothing to do with the Seventh Sister, or the Nightsisters.)
Witches. Get. Stitches. We're in flashback mode this episode as we hearken back to the Clone Wars' Nightsisters, and bring back the same conversation we had during their extermination—about the persecution of powerful women. This episode spirals us through a million possible theories of what happened The Night of the Fire. What do we really know about the Jedi on Brendok? Whose jurisdiction applies? Would you rather be groomed into a cult leader or a child soldier? And what can we surmise about this coven of dark witches? Most importantly, Mae and Osha's story continues to be a whodunit mystery, and the story of “Destiny” opens far more doors than it closes. We'd just like the Brendok coven to know we've been fans since Dathomir…please don't turn us into newts! THE TRUTH REVEALED!! The Acolyte Full Reaction Watch Along: https://www.patreon.com/thereelrejects The Acolyte Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, Easter Eggs, Theories, Spoiler Review, & Ending Explained! Kelnacca lightsaber fight in In Episode 7 of The Acolyte, titled "Choice," the story takes a significant leap back in time to explore the events that unfolded on the planet Brendok 16 years prior. The episode begins with Jedi Masters Indara, Kelnacca, Sol, and Padawan Torbin arriving on Brendok in search of a mysterious "vergence," a powerful nexus of the Force. Initially, the Jedi are uncertain about the vergence's nature, but their mission takes a turn when Sol discovers two young girls, Osha and Mae, who are connected to the vergence. The episode reveals that the Jedi were sent to Brendok after a hyperspace disaster 100 years earlier, which left the planet barren. As the Jedi observe the girls and their connection to the Force, they discover that the twins were not born but created from the vergence. This revelation leads to a confrontation with the Nightsisters, led by Mother Aniseya and Mother Koril, who are responsible for the twins' creation. The episode explores the moral dilemmas faced by the Jedi as they grapple with the ethical implications of their actions. The conflict escalates when the Nightsisters, fearing the Jedi's intentions, take aggressive measures to protect the twins. In the climax of the episode, a tragic event occurs, resulting in the apparent deaths of the Nightsisters and the separation of the twins. The episode ends with the Jedi making a difficult decision to hide the truth from the Jedi Council to protect Osha and maintain order within the Jedi ranks. Episode 7 of The Acolyte delves into the complex relationships between the Jedi, the Nightsisters, and the twins, exploring themes of creation, destiny, and the consequences of one's choices. The cast features Amandla Stenberg as Mae, Lee Jung-jae as Master Sol, Carrie-Anne Moss (Trinity from The Matrix) as Indara, Manny Jacinto as Qimir, Dafne Keen (X23 from Logan) as Jecki Lon, Charlie Barnett as Yord Fandar, Jodie Turner-Smith as Mother Aniseya, Rebecca Henderson as Vernestra Rwoh, Joonas Suotamo as Kelnacca, a Wookiee Jedi. On this week's episode of Duel of the Ranks, our hosts Amanda, Alanis, Luke, and Darth Choco analyze the best and weakest parts of "Tales of the Empire". The animation is praised, along with its focus on lesser-known corners of the Star Wars universe like the Nightsisters and the mountain clan. The exploration of Barriss Offee's story is also considered a strength. However, the episode titles are criticized for inconsistency, and the hosts debate whether the series could have been more narratively impactful. They question the overall purpose of the "Tales of" series, debating if it aims to expand the Star Wars lore, fill plot gaps, or simply serve as a collection of standalone stories. To stay up-to-date on all things Duel of the Ranks, be sure to check out our links below!Website: www.dueloftheranks.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/dueloftheranks/Twitter: https://twitter.com/DueloftheRanksTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@dueloftheranks?lang=enDiscord: https://discord.gg/3eZZbuXbr3

"Nightsisters" is the beginning of a three part arc that focuses on Asajj Ventress. It takes a character that was once introduced to Star Wars as just a villain and provides depth and layers to her character - enough so that we begin to sympathize and feel for this character. We explore this arc in detail, beginning with the episode titled "Nightsisters". We discover Ventress' past, see Dathomir for the first time, and admire Count Dooku's choice of pajamas! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/most-things-kenobi/support

In tonight's livestream episode, we explored the intricate story of Darth Maul within the Star Wars universe.Dathomir: The Witches' PlanetDathomir, a mysterious planet located in the Outer Rim's Quelli sector, is known for its unique features. This remote world is illuminated by a red sun and characterized by a diverse terrain, including dense forests and murky swamps. However, its most intriguing aspect lies in its history.Centuries before the Clone Wars, Dathomir was home to a species known as the Fromprath. They were forcibly displaced from the planet by the Nightsisters, a group of powerful witches. These Nightsisters would later become integral to Maul's life.Mother Talzin: Leader of the NightsistersBorn on Dathomir, Mother Talzin emerged as a formidable figure among the Nightsisters and the Nightbrothers, the male Zabrak species native to Dathomir. Talzin's power lay in Nightsister magick, which even caught the attention of the Sith Lord, Darth Sidious.Talzin and Sidious: A Dark AllianceDarth Sidious, a master of dark side force powers, was drawn to Nightsister magick and visited Dathomir. He initially promised to make Talzin his apprentice but instead chose her son, Maul, as his own apprentice. This act of betrayal fueled Talzin's desire for revenge. The Rise and Fall of Darth MaulMaul, introduced in "The Phantom Menace," was trained by Sidious and became his apprentice. He engaged in an epic battle on Naboo, where he faced Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and was later defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Maul's return, marked by new mechanical legs and a thirst for vengeance, set the stage for further conflicts. The Shadow Collective and Maul's Quest for PowerMaul, now a self-proclaimed Sith Lord, took his brother Savage Opress as an apprentice, but their efforts to destroy Kenobi were thwarted. Maul later joined forces with the Death Watch, a militant Mandalorian group, and orchestrated the takeover of Mandalore. This ambitious journey also involved the acquisition of the legendary Darksaber.Mother Talzin's End and the Siege of MandaloreMaul's story continued in the Marvel Comics series "Maul: Son of Dathomir," but the end of Mother Talzin was imminent. Sidious, Count Dooku, and General Grievous set their sights on her, leading to a climactic showdown on Dathomir, with tragic consequences.Maul's reign on Mandalore came to an end, thanks to the heroic efforts of Ahsoka Tano, Captain Rex, and the 501st Legion. His quest for power led him to form the criminal organization Crimson Dawn, marking another intriguing chapter in his dark journey.Maul and Kenobi: The Final ConfrontationFueled by years of revenge, Maul's last confrontation with Obi-Wan Kenobi on Tatooine is a gripping moment in the Star Wars saga. In a final duel, Kenobi's mastery of the Force prevails, bringing a dramatic end to Maul's tragic character arc.

Meanwhile, the Eye of Sion arrives on Peridea, the ancient homeworld of Elsbeth's people known as the Dathomiri. Elsbeth, Skoll, Hati, and Wren meet the Great Mothers, a group of Nightsisters allied with Thrawn. As they wait for the Grand Admiral's arrival, Skoll relates to Hati his belief that the fall of the Jedi and the rise of the Empire were part of an inevitable cycle, one he intends to break. Thrawn arrives with his Star Destroyer, the Chimaera, and honors Skoll's promise by providing Wren with provisions, a Howler mount, and the latest intelligence on Bridger's whereabouts. After Wren leaves, Thrawn orders Skoll and Hati to follow her at their own pace so they can kill both her and Bridger. Surviving an ambush by bandits, Wren encounters the native Noti and follows them to their village where she reunites with Bridger. While tracking Wren, Skoll senses that there is a greater power on Peridea and tells Hati that he intends to find and use it. Anticipating Ahsoka coming with the Purrgil, Thrawn demands all the details of her history from Elsbeth and orders her to kill any arriving Purrgil. Infamous Shirts for Naked Bodies...
