We're back and we're still raging about Pong Krell in this episode as we finish up rewatching the Umbara arc from Clone Wars. LeeAnn goes on an epic rant about how much she hates Pong Krell, Lauren talks about laws regarding military uniforms and why it's significant that Krell pitted the Clones against each other, and we both constantly wish someone would just call Kenobi already LOL! We've said it a million times and we'll say it again: F*ck Pong Krell.Support us on Patreon for as little as $3/month: patreon.com/MostThingsKenobiInstagram: most_things_kenobiWebsite: mostthingskenobi.comYouTube: MostThingsKenobiThreads: most_things_kenobiTumblr: MostThingsKenobi

1999. 1999. Episode I: The Phantom Menace, it was a tale well well WELL documented in fandom circles LOL LOL LOL hahahahahahahahahahah obviously, then IT HAPPENED -- a REALLY cool sick looking villain was shockingly CUT IN HALF and fell down a trash space shoot. Many were taken aback, NOT only cause WE collectively watch THE PHANTOM MENACE, but what a WASTE of a villain and the potential this DARTH MAUL brought the the Sabacc table. And then came 2008, the DAWN of the CLONE WARS animated series, a show THAT as it went along was slowly but surely "mending" the Perquel films, most notably the space between Episode II & Episode III, but WE did NOT see THIS one coming (HA neither did Dave Filoni to be PERFECTLY honest), a mandate to bring DARTH MAUL back to life, hence fourth CLONE WARS would be dubbed (at least here at Fandom Awakens Radio HQ) the MAUL apology TOUR LOL LOL LOL hahahahahahahahah Darth Maul officially returned in Star Wars: The Clone Wars at the end of Season 4, in the episode titled "Brothers" (Season 4, Episode 21). In this episode, it was revealed he survived his bisection by Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Phantom Menace and has been living in exile on the junk world of Lotho Minor. His arc continued directly into the Season 4 finale, "Revenge" (Season 4, Episode 22), where his brother, Savage Opress, helps restore his sanity and cybernetic legs so they can hunt down Kenobi. Granted EVERYTIME Maul was brought up in the CLONE WARS, everything felt like a STOP on the MAUL apology TOUR, as the show clearly continued to add layer upon layer to the PT mythology, THAT was clearly to BIG too EXPANSIVE for three films THAT of course brings us to THIS. After the Clone Wars, Maul plots to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. Maul -Shadow Lord STOP on the MAUL apology TOUR On the premier episode of JUST MAUL!!! Formerly Darth, now just Maul -the Shadow Lord Podcast - the MAULfather STOP on the MAUL apology TOUR, Fandom Awakens Radio's latest spin-off podcast, your hosts David Senden and co-host Kyle Wagner review in FULL the complete first season of Maul - Shadow Lord, streaming exclusively on Disney+ JUST MAUL!!! The masterminded Darth Sidious, aka Chancellor Palpatine (we flip back and forth between the two this entire episode), had a grand plan that impacted an entire galaxy over decades of time...but there was always one thorn in his side for many of those years: the one and only Obi-Wan Kenobi. We thought it would be interesting to delve into all the ways Kenobi thwarted Palpatine's plans, be it intentionally or unintentionally, and how him being a general pain in Palp's ass turned things around for the galaxy as a whole. Welcome back again again Void! This week we are completing our discussions on the Kenobi miniseries and are having a great time! It's got Kenobi, Kenobi swimming, Kenobi fighting, and GOD Kenobi? I mean, that's a LOT of boulders to throw at one guy, that one guy being Vader of course. Watch out Luke! It'll happen to you in 15 years or so! These three episodes are all about the relationship between Obi-wan and Vader, and Reva's choices when it comes to her definition of justice. It poses questions about who is "master" and how Leia became the rebel leader we know her to be. Also, did you know that Aunt Beru is a badass? Also, Erin laughs at a dead youngling in stasis. We're concerned. "Erin is dead, I AM WHAT REMAINS"

Villa Park. Fifth in the league. But they had zero xG in the first half. Zero. And we were two goals up. It was, it was special. A full-house Originals panel back together for this one — Johnny over in beautiful Dublin, Si in Switzerland, our ray of sunshine Stu in Dubai, and DJ in sunny California — for a proper reaction to Aston Villa 1–2 Spurs at Villa Park and the four games of De Zerbi so far. We've had this conversation every three months, haven't we? But is this one different? Please tell us it's different. So we get into the data (xG against nearly halved, pressing up vs both Frank and Tudor, the back four launching the build-up), the lads who look like completely different players under De Zerbi (Gallagher, Van de Ven, Palhinha, Bentancur, Kinsky), and even Stu's allowing himself to get a little bit excited for once. Plus your questions — the Roberto-wan-Kenobi one (do we give the club credit for landing him?), whether we've got any transfer window pull despite no Europe, who stays if we stay up, the Maddison-vs-Leeds debate, and frankly the best listener question of the lot: is this De Zerbi run actually the best pre-pre-season a new manager could ask for? If you've been through this season with us, please follow the show, drop us a rating, and share it with a fellow Spurs fan who's starting to believe again. And to the Oh-So-33 crew — keep it lily-white. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Maul: Shadow Lord episodes 7 and 8 hit different, and Erin is here to tell you exactly why. From one of the most viscerally cool fight sequences in recent Star Wars animation to a solo episode-length descent into Maul's fractured psyche, these episodes make a case for animated storytelling as genuine cinematic art.Episode 7 delivers the action: Maul versus the Inquisitors, Devin making a pivotal choice to fight alongside him rather than flee, a souped-up speeder chase, and a Mandalorian mutiny that ends exactly as it should. Episode 8, “The Creeping Fear,” slows everything down and goes inside Maul's head; flashbacks to Sidious's torture, Savage's death, and the moment Maul realizes Kenobi is already gone. Erin, a nursing student, reads the voices and emotional volatility as possible markers of schizophrenia, and the framing makes you feel the weight of it without the show ever having to say it directly. The conversation also touches on animation vocabulary; what do we call a “shot” when there's no camera?, and why Spybot remains the best character in the series. **************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, an Ethical Panda podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Darth Maul was cut in half at the end of The Phantom Menace — and then he spent a decade going slowly insane on a trash planet, came back, conquered Mandalore, and watched it all collapse again. With Maul: Shadow Lord arriving, Matthew and Erin lay out everything you need to know about how one of Star Wars' most iconic figures ended up here. Whether you're walking into Maul: Shadow Lord as a lifelong lore obsessive or someone who just remembers the double-bladed lightsaber, this is the episode that gets you ready. They trace Maul's full arc from Lotho Minor to the Siege of Mandalore: his obsessive fixation on Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Shadow Collective he built from crime lords and Death Watch soldiers, and the moment he used Satine's death to make Kenobi feel what he had felt for years. They also dig into what Order 66 actually cost him — not just the Shadow Collective, but the only two purposes that had been animating his life since The Phantom Menace. The conversation lands on what makes Maul: Shadow Lord such a compelling premise: Maul is the man who saw it all coming and was ignored by everyone. Now the war is over, his enemies are gone, and he has to figure out what he's fighting for. Plus, Erin makes a strong case for why Sam Witwer's voice performance is the reason anyone is this excited about a Maul show in the first place.Mentioned in This EpisodeThe Phantom MenaceStar Wars: The Clone Wars — Season 4, Season 7 (Siege of Mandalore arc)Solo: A Star Wars StoryAhsokaThe MandalorianThe Bad BatchRevenge of the SithStar Wars Generations Episode 324 — Maul, Death Watch, and the fall of MandaloreStar Wars Generations Episode 327 — Darth Maul in LegendsLinksConnect with Matthew: matthew@theethicalpanda.com · TikTok · Facebook · Instagram · Twitter/XConnect with Erin: Instagram · TikTok**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, an Ethical Panda podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Son of Dathomir, a 4-comic run from 2014, based on an unused story from The Clone Wars, is discussed, which links how Maul got from being imprisoned by Darth Sidious in Season 5 of TCW to his appearance in Season 7. Darth Maul doesn't just survive; he conquers. With Matthew out of town, Alex and Erin take over Star Wars Generations to dig into Maul's arc across The Clone Wars Seasons 4 and 5: the Death Watch alliance, the takeover of Mandalore, and the cold, calculated murder of Satine — engineered specifically to break Obi-Wan.The hosts trace how Maul goes from drifting through space to ruling a planet and commanding multiple crime syndicates in a matter of weeks, and what it reveals about his obsession with Kenobi. They also reckon with Palpatine's stunning arrival on Mandalore — dual-wielding lightsabers, dissolving Savage to nothing — and what it means that the Emperor kept Maul alive on purpose. Plus: the tragic arc of Savage Opress, Almec's return as a puppet ruler, and the surprisingly deep roots these episodes put down for The Mandalorian, Rebels, and everything that came after.Related episodes: Maul's revival in S4 E21–22 · The Box arc with Embo, S4 E15–18**************************************************************************This episode is a production of Star Wars Generations, an Ethical Panda podcast and part of the TruStory FM Entertainment Podcast Network. Filoni v Brennan a New Character Begins Days of Future Star Wars - Your hosts David Senden and Kyle Wagner discuss highlights taken from Kathy's exit interview, we discuss the 2 Co-presidents thing (very interesting to GO all in on a James Gunn / Peter Safran DC Studios esc approach) Upcoming Star Wars movie projects, heavily focused on a theatrical return in 2026-2027, include The Mandalorian & Grogu (May 22, 2026), Shawn Levy's Starfighter (May 28, 2027), and Dave Filoni's New Republic-era film. Other active projects include a Rey-centric New Jedi Order film and a new trilogy from Simon Kinberg. Here is a breakdown of the announced Star Wars film projects: Definite & In-Development Films Untitled Rey Skywalker Movie: Directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy, focusing on rebuilding the Jedi Order. Simon Kinberg Trilogy: A new trilogy currently in development. Projects in Limbo or Unknown Status Rogue Squadron: Patty Jenkins' project, previously shelved but reportedly back in consideration. James Mangold's Dawn of the Jedi: A "biblical epic" exploring the origin of the Force. Taika Waititi's Star Wars Movie: Announced, but with no firm production timeline. Lando: Originally a series, now being developed as a movie with Donald Glover. Ok I am gonna say (and WE all know far too well what a LOT of SW fans today LACK, patience .............. funny when you consider everything they learned they learned from Kenobi and Yoda LOL but anyway), I'd say the odds of a LOT of these projects seeing the light of day just SHOT up, as long as Disney's new CEO (unlike Bob the Blunder halfwit), doesn't try anything STUPID. That Hunt for Ben Solo situation told us a LOT a LOT, of what has really been a problem in Star Wars ....................... and it was NOT the internet's favorite Boogywoman, cause here's some reality for you, had she NOT taken the job at the time GL asked her *sigh* I think Star Wars would have truly come to an END HAHAHAHA to paraphase how YODA might it "Now TWO there are ...... Filoni v Brennan a New Character Begins Days of Future Star Wars" a BRAND NEW episode of Fandom Awakens Radio starts RIGHT NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's What I Call TodCasting! bracket officially kicks off as Todd and Eric break down the first matchup in the tournament: the #1 seed, The 4th of July Parade, versus the #16 seed, Trollin' with the Kenobi Bot. After revisiting both episodes in their original and newly tailored versions, the guys go category by category to decide who advances. The Bracket Rules: Entertainment, information, and original audio quality - no vibes-only voting.Kenobi Bot Revisited: Eric looks back at early trolling, fake bots, surprise websites, and why this episode both holds up and shows its age.The Parade Juggernaut: Giant sandwiches, Disney logic, lawnmowers, drones, Mark Hamill, and why this episode became ToddCast lore.Audio Reality Check: Trucker headsets, background noise, screaming kids, and why remastering was absolutely necessary.Creative Chaos vs. Polish: When unscripted flow wins, when it doesn't, and why Season 4 dominates the bracket. The Verdict: Does the #1 seed earn its spot, or can the underdog pull off a miracle? This episode sets the tone for Season 10 - part recap, part commentary, and part love letter to the evolution of the TodCast.

Tom Gross, is the Co-Host of the Teachers in the Dungeon as well as the CWK Pour-Over podcast, but by day he is the Librarian of Washington Community HS, in Washington Illinois and the driving force behind the S.T.E.A.M. events that are held there. Powered by an army of student volunteers, they are coming up on the 10th iteration of this event which promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Reading, and Math, all wrapped in a genre theme. Whereas in the past it has been STAR WARS, it has opened up to others including Marvel, Harry Potter, Fantasy & Gaming and a lot more. Tom returns back to the program to talk about S.T.E.A.M. into the STORYVERSE, which takes place on Saturday, January 10th. Yours truly will once again support the event by doing a podcast live on site and canvasing the area for interviews, but it is always great to sit down with Tom before the day begins. My thanks to Tom, Dan, and all the folks at WCHS for inviting me down to the event again. Andor is officially the most expensive Star Wars project to date, IN HISTORY, even with George Lucas era in the mix. 705M for Andor is insane. Kenobi got only a 90M budget in comparison, while the sequels were roughly in The Acolyte territory of cost over 200M. Who is making these decisions up there at Disney and Lucasfilm? How can Andor of all shows get almost 8x Kenobi? How can it be more expensive than Solo with all the reshoots included? Tax cuts, in my opinion, from this Forbes article, is why... But then why not Kenobi? Why no the sequels? Surely Andor couldn't have been THAT expensive compared to all the other massive team led projects Disney Star Wars has had... This is even more expensive than the Mandalorian. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

In this episode of Star Wars Uplink, we're diving deep into the swirling Star Wars rumors surrounding a potential second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi. The first season split the fandom — from showcasing a broken Kenobi and a fearsome Vader to raising questions about canon, character arcs, and just how far fan service should go. We unpack: - Why the Obi-Wan Kenobi show was so divisive - What worked — and what didn't — in the story of Vader and Kenobi - The risks of rewriting canon for nostalgia's sake - What a second season could explore (and what it should avoid) - Whether this rumor is just smoke… or the start of something real Could Season 2 redeem the show's legacy — or break it further? Let's talk theories, possibilities, and the future of Star Wars storytelling. Drop your thoughts in the comments: Do you want to see Obi-Wan Kenobi return?
