Listen to Life Point Church's sermons from each week.
This week we take a break from our "Praying with Purpose + Desire" series and focus on a sermon Pastor Aaron received while at CityReach.Letters of A Living God focuses on what it means to be a "living epistle." Who do we let write on the tablets of our hearts? As believers, we should be allowing God to have control, yet so many times, we try to grab the pen back. This sermon teaches us the importance of why we need to let go of the pen and let God be the ruler of our hearts. The changes God makes in us might help transform those around us.
Join us this week as we continue our series on how to pray with purpose and desire. Last week we learned about coming to God with a prayer of "search me." If you've prayed that prayer with a heart genuinely looking for God to reveal to you who you are, He has plainly shown you something you need to change. Today, we move a step passed, searching. We pray for God to seize us; take full control of our lives. We surrender to the God who saved us, sanctified us, and adopted us.
The Lord’s Prayer, the Our Father Prayer, no matter what you call it, Jesus gave us a blueprint to praying without praying by repetition. Nowadays, people recite the Lord’s Prayer without pausing to take in the meaning of the words. Join us in this message as Aaron McGuire teaches us about the importance of daily and effective prayer modeled after the Lord’s Prayer.
Happy Fathers Day from Lifepoint! Join us for this sermon as Aaron McGuire teaches us something new from a well-known story. The Prodigal Son is not only a parable teaching us how God’s grace is extended to us, even though we don’t deserve it; but, this parable is also a lesson to fathers who want to know how to be Christ-like in leading their families.
Many use the statement that we Add to the church. Though this statement is used in a positive way in giving responsibility to the church, it is wrong. We do not do the adding to the church, Jesus adds to HIS church. We as the church are given the responsibilities to Discipleship, Teaching and Reaching those around us. We Reach —> He Places………. We are to connect people to Jesus. Please join us as we look at what we as a church are to be doing. Don’t Do Church - Be the Church
“Do Not Judge Others” Yes that statement in the Bible is true, but its not the blanket statement that most people use now. The Bible does say don’t judge others, but it also says to Judge Righteously/To Hold each other Accountable.
We often say things with the best intentions, but often do not say them correctly. Today we will discuss the statement “God doesn’t give us more the we can handle.” we will explore the truth and depth of this statement. We hope you enjoy and that you will get closer to God. We would love to see you in person, until then please enjoy the Word of God. God Bless You Pastor Aaron McGuire
