Aaron Wallace - Receiving Grace "Rejection & Offense" by Pastor Aaron Wallace
Have you ever felt crushed under the weight of a mistake, convinced it's too big to fix? Whether it's a literal mess or a relational misstep, we often respond by piling on guilt, shame, and endless self-blame. But what if there's another way? In this episode, I share the story of a literal spill that led to a deep reflection on responsibility, self-blame, and the gift of grace. We'll talk about how to figure out what's actually yours to own, how to stop beating yourself up for every little thing, and how to open your heart to God's grace—even in life's sticky situations. If you're ready to stop over-owning every mess and start letting grace lead the way, this episode is for you! In today's heartfelt installment, I sit down with my husband of 14 years to reflect on his vibrant childhood and the choices he made in his younger years that led him away from his relationship with God. He has faced the difficult journey of drug addiction which led him to being a missionary at the age of 17 at an organization called Youth For Christ in Cape Town. Over the next few years, he wrestles with issues of identity, belonging, and the challenges of receiving love and dealing with rejection. As he shares his story, he emphasizes that the strength to navigate these challenges comes from his faith in God.

Are you struggling with shame in your life? Do you want to be free? The more we renew our minds on truth, the freer we become and the further we get from shame. Knowing who God is contains the secrets to living the most joyful and satisfied life. God's love isn't based on us; it's placed on us. One of the biggest components of the process of sanctification is learning to receive grace. When we fully commit ourselves to knowing, experiencing, and following, Jesus, we encounter true freedom and joy.

On today's episode we talk about something that the entire world needs right now and that is grace. Sometimes it's really hard to remember to give people grace and even harder to give it to yourself. Today we talk about the other side too where sometimes it's not so easy to receive it from others as well. We cook an amazing but simple coconut chicken curry today that can be served over rice or anything too. Tiffany Krystal - Instagram Support the show (https://paypal.me/chefhollywood?locale.x=en_US)

In today's episode of Staying at the Table we talk about our core value, we receive and offer God's grace abundantly. We discuss how we practically experience grace in our worst moments, and define grace as that which invites us to turn toward God when we are at our worst. We consider whether you can offer grace without receiving grace and how grace is part of dying to self. Come join us at the table, and enjoy the show.
