The Pleasures calendar doesn't reset until sometime in the middle of February, and with that in mind, we're sharing some goals we have for 2020, as well as lots more!

We welcome Bob from Lousville stoner metal dudes Shi to talk about their new album, recording at the Church of Wax, and a few other things before the pod devolves into madness because of a strange take on Doolittle.

The line between podcast and group therapy continues to blur as we discuss how procrastination affects our creative process, and why we put so much work into things that could be ultimately meaningless. Not nearly as serious as it sounds. Plus recommendations and other fun stuff!

It's annoying when bands announce they're working on an album and then you have to wait a year until you hear it. But most bands don't have a podcast where they can document writing/recording a full length. So we're doing exactly that, announcing a concept for our first LP that will be taking up much of our 2020. We think we have a very cool idea for it but for more details you have to listen you dingus!

Part 2 of hanging out with Calvin! We have never sat down as a group to talk about what it was like when he left The Foxery, the direction we were going in/went in, how we all felt, and we unpack all of that. This was a very cathartic episode and a conversation we've all always wanted to have.

There'd be no Pleasures without The Foxery, and there would be no Foxery without Calvin Fackler. This was the most fun episode yet with one of our dearest friends, and basically a snapshot of an hour in the van with us on tour.

We appreciate people who love to make art, and put in the work to make that art. Ben Sears is one of the best examples in Louisville of that. We talk about his time in all sorts of bands, such as Xerxes, Black God, Mountain Asleep, Prideswallower, August Moon. We're back with another song discussion episode! We go deep on Lost Teeth Dreams from Inevitable Pleasures. There's a lot of talk about dreams, if they mean anything, and one of the most awkward placements of the Great Escape ad yet. We do a deep dive on our first single L'Illusion Des Sosies, and Trav joins us for the first time! A lesson for everyone, it's hard to discuss a song when you can't pronounce the name of it. Content vs context! If someone makes an amazing piece of art and no one gets it, is it still good? Maybe after spending half an hour with us you'll have an answer, maybe not!
