Ever since entering college, It was extremely important to me to keep a perfect GPA, as I thought that it “validated” that I was intelligent. After two and a half years of maintaining a 4.0 GPA, it was broken. I was upset at first however, it occurred to me that that a number should not define your intelligence, it is the effort and drive you apply to what you're doing that matters.
