As the baseball world enters the final month of the regular season, teams are all ready to make their final push to try and lock in their spot for the postseason. While the Wild Card spots have allowed more teams into the dance, some are still eyeing a possible division championship. With the Atlanta Braves being a mainstay at the top of the NL East, the Philadelphia Phillies, on their hot streak, look ready to make a move to the top of the division. On this episode of Baseball Bar-B-Cast, Jake Mintz and Jordan Shusterman talk about the Phillies' nine-game win streak after sweeping the St. Louis Cardinals and completing an incredible ninth-inning comeback on Sunday. Even though the Phillies and Braves will face off six more times before the season ends, there's a real reason to believe that the City of Brotherly Love is not ready to settle for an NL Wild Card spot just yet. Later in the show, Jake and Jordan talk about the incredible game from Randy Arozarena on Saturday, as well as Kade Anderson's debut in the same game and why the Seattle Mariners still have a good chance to possibly snag the AL West with their schedule the rest of the way. The guys then react to the breaking news that the Houston Astros are parting ways with GM Dana Brown, Shohei Ohtani getting closer to being back on the mound for the Los Angeles Dodgers and recap all the other action from this weekend in baseball. 2:15 - The Opener: Phillies on Fire 14:51 - We Need To Talk About: Randy Arozarena 27:38 - How Sweep It Is: Encouraging News for Dodgers 37:39 - Sweeps from the Weekend Recap 49:26 - Astros Part Ways with GM 1:00:02 - Turbo Mode: Weekend Recap Subscribe to Baseball Bar-B-Cast on your favorite podcast app:

My therapist says I have a preoccupation with vengeance. We'll see about that. I really do. Hope it's somebody we want to see. But you know what? Son of a gun. Shout out to my lips. Caroline Leavitt has left it. You get that play on words. Who's going to replace her? She's really good. She's one of the best press secretaries ever. Maybe the best in modern history, to be honest with you. But who's gonna replace her? I think they need a dude now. Yeah. I mean, Carolyn Leavitt, you know, she's like Nancy Lieberman. She could almost get into the NBA. But I think when you have a guy, think about like a Scott Jennings, he's good. Or Stephen Miller. Stephen Miller probably wouldn't be as good because Stephen is really brash and he's got this way of talking about things where he's, and then the president said, so it's kind of like shouting at you. Scott Jennings is more reserved. I would, between the two, I'd probably take Scott Jennings. You guys would, yeah, my producers agree. So Scott Jennings, he'd be a good pick. Who else? I mean, there's some good people out there. And Scott Jennings was a Mitch McConnell guy. So you almost want more rhinos to get inside and see how things work with a real presidency versus some of these institutional guys, these establishment people. I don't, no disrespect, but they just don't, they don't hack, they don't know how to fight. Glad you guys are with me. We talked about being woke in the previous hour and how the left is waking up from woke. Hey, I've got some good news. They're going to probably go after these FBIs. They had 14 informants on Biden corruption. They ran a secret disinformation campaign. They'll probably be firing those guys. Here's another one. Here's a stat, something that should make you feel good. Food stamp enrollment cratered 5.3 million under President Trump. 5.3 million less people getting snapped. So figuring they get, I don't know what they get. What do they get? A few $100 a month? They got 1000 bucks a month for food, which would be a lot, right? That's 5.3 billion. So do the math, cut it in half, whatever it may be. If they get $500 a month from SNAP, I don't know. I just know this. I'd like to have a SNAP card. Kevin, wouldn't you be embarrassed? No, why would I be embarrassed? I'd be getting my money back. I've got thousands of dollars. in the government that I gave back. I want my money back. And then I look at what they spend it on, shoot, I want triple my money back. I don't know about you guys. Anyway, Arizona, the biggest drop, 54.8% decrease in SNAP. That's how, think about that. That's gotta be some illegals. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. Nothing new for us or them. We are winning, they are losing. And you know who you are. I have plenty of evidence. Real and irrefutable that will prove the point that I prove DAILY on this show. Democrats are in big trouble. The only thing that concerns me is that they are not in BIGGER trouble. You can't have a brain and not question how anybody can support that party. The Party of Murder. The Party of Fraud. That's really most fitting, because fraud encompasses almost everything they represent. J6 committee loses all the data. How many covid lies have they told? How many times did Fauci take the 5th? And what of their fundraising team at ActBlue? What haven't those scoundrels backed up about? Hunter's laptop. Joe Biden's health. The corruption of the Bidens? Blasey-Ford tried to delete her past, and countless other Democrats have tried to scrub their pasts. We heard that El-Sayed deleted over 100 YouTube videos. Why? Because he might be misunderstood in his hatred of America? AOC scrubbed some of her comments, little Greta Thundberg did the same. You'd be hardpressed to find a Democrat who hasn't deleted their comments. Speaking of AOC, I heard that she and her boyfriend broke up TWO YEARS AGO. While there is no good news for Democrats, there is plenty of good news for Donald Trump and MAGA. Let begin with the MI governor. [X] SB – Gretchen Whitmer praises Trump v Biden https://www.foxnews.com/media/democratic-governor-credits-trump-delivering-mission-michigan-biden-couldnt-get-over-finish-line.amp Whitmer appeared to be referring to Mission Next, which will replace the retiring A-10 Warthog aircraft based at Selfridge Air National Guard Base in Michigan with 21 brand-new F-15EX Eagle II fighter jets. The mission is part of a modernization plan for the National Guard Base, according to the National Guard's website, which includes construction and infrastructure upgrades that will create jobs and new training opportunities. Trump shared details of the new fighter jet mission in April 2025 during a speech to National Guard members at the Michigan base for an event commemorating his 100th day in office. "Fresh off the line. That means they are brand new," Trump said at the time. "They've never been anywhere. This is where they're going to be for a long time. And I saw one of them, flew over my head, and I said, ‘What the hell is that?' That plane has serious power. So, this is the best there is anywhere in the world, the F-15EX Eagle II. This will keep Selfridge at the cutting edge of Northern American air power." [X] SB – Fox News on MI and ME Senate races Republicans have an edge in MI. Expensive. Competitive. Weekend Recap 08-22-26 Another bad weekend for leftism. Oh my goodness. Unbelievable. Look, I know woke is taking a beating, but the left is taking a beating on so many levels that I would tell you it's to call it embarrassing. Is it? It's so many things. I mean, it's on so many levels. I got a chuckle. I mean, everything is about wokeism, whether you believe it or not is about wokeism. So the LGBT thing, black thing, the climate change, all it's wokeism, shots and viruses and all this stuff. And they're backing away from it all. But I got to tell you, it's taken a beating under Trump. You can see it everywhere. You can see it everywhere. And the reason I'm bringing this up is because I heard something I'd never heard. It was called woke one. Well, DEI. dismantled. The language is changing, right? Corporations at once couldn't get through a board meeting without somebody mentioning diversity, equity, and inclusion are suddenly discovering the timeless beauty of merit. Well, we talk about it, Unified Solutions America, every single day and twice on Sundays. And now we have Democrats talking about this thing called Woke One. like Woke version 1.0, and I love it. I absolutely, it sounds like a software release. Apparently, Woke 1 was the beta version, but they found out, you ready? There were bugs, bugs in the code, bugs that even AI couldn't fix. They had a system crash. The police department stopped functioning. People discovered that men and women were somehow both the same and different depending upon which sentence you were constructing. Universities became ideological pressure cookers. Americans were instructed to evaluate virtually everything through the lens of race and gender and identity and all other crazy things that the left could think of. Welcome people. Kevin Jackson's who you're listening to, the Kevin Jackson Show, KJRadio.com. And then there was a small matter of telling people that, you ready? America's rotten. How dare you want to grow up in this country that has given everything to everybody and saved the world multiple times? And it is the most loving, giving, caring, philanthropic, humanitarian nation on the face of the earth since God invented people. And they tell you we're bad. You're rotten. You're rotten to your rotten cores, you Americans. Well, that is, unless you're a leftist. But don't worry, folks, that was woke one. We're moving on. I have a question. How many times can you get woke? Because see, this is the part I don't buy. I don't think Democrats are ushering in a new woke. I think they're waking up from woke. And you've heard me say this. I told you over the last four or five years, I told you Democrats are waking up from woke. And we used to say it when I was a kid, I mean, younger, Maybe not a kid. Like, man, you got to get woke. And it was always around black issues. Like, Kevin, you got to get with the program, man. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. On this episode of the MalloryBros. Jason looks back at the weekend of racing including the King's Plate at Woodbine and Saratoga's Saturday card.
Life feels really full right now, in the best and most overwhelming way. Matix is finally home after two years away on his mission, I'm facing some big decisions about my health and my body, and I'm stepping back into work that feels more meaningful than it has in years. Somewhere in the middle of all of it, I'm realizing I'm not trying to get back to who I used to be anymore. I'm figuring out who I am now.In this episode, Ryan and I talk about what it feels like to have all four of my kids under one roof again, how much Matix has changed while he's been away, the complicated reality of parenting adult children, and some of the things I wish I had done differently as a mom.I also share an update after meeting with my doctor about a possible partial hysterectomy. We get into the fears I have around surgery, what it could mean for my body, hormones, sex, and menopause, and something I didn't expect: realizing just how much my relationship with health anxiety has changed. And finally, we recap an incredible weekend with my challenge and mastermind community. There were breakthroughs, tears, workouts, new friendships, some very vulnerable conversations, and yes... even pole dancing. Watching these women show up for themselves and each other reminded me why I love doing this work so much.I keep saying I feel like I'm “back,” but I don't think I'm going back at all.I think I'm becoming someone new.In this episode:Matix is home after two years on his missionHaving all four kids under one roof againParenting adult kids and knowing when to let goMy partial hysterectomy and health updateHow my health anxiety has changedBehind the scenes of our challenge and mastermind weekendThe friendships, breakthroughs, and unexpected pole dancingHere are the key moments from the episode:00:00 A Much-Needed Life Update with Ryan04:26 Matix Is Finally Home From His Mission!08:02 Having All Four Kids Home Again12:19 Parenting Adult Kids & Learning When to Let Go17:01 How Matix Changed During His Two-Year Mission21:01 What Our Family Looks Like With Matix Back Home25:52 My Health Update & the Hysterectomy Conversation29:13 The Questions I Had to Ask About My Body & Hormones34:47 Something Has Really Changed With My Health Anxiety38:20 Why I Feel Like I'm Finally Finding My New Lane42:22 The Transformation That Made This Challenge So Special46:10 What Happened at Our Mastermind Weekend50:00 The Stories & Vulnerability I'll Never Forget54:33 Pole Dancing, Friendship & a VERY Unexpected Night58:24 What's Coming Next for Me & This CommunityConnect with Heidi:Website: https://heidipowell.net/Email: podcast@heidipowell.netInstagram: @realheidipowellFacebook: Heidi PowellYouTube: @RealHeidiPowellJoin Heidi's next Hormone Reset Challenge: heidipowell.net/resetTrain with Heidi on her Show Up App: https://www.showupfit.app/

Another weekend in the books as we speed through Summer and get closer to Fall. Very busy weekend for me with birthday dinners, parades, housework, Oktoberfest beers, and spending time with good friends. Snuck in a Spooky Spin win or two, as well! I am definitely going to spend a few hours working on the lawn today and maybe even putting up a few Halloween decorations. In the news this morning, actress Hayden Panettiere has died at age 36, a couple of planes with the same callsign ended up on the same frequency and were heading on a collision course, multiple fights at the end of the Wisconsin State Fair end with several people getting arrested, a recall on a tomato bisque sold at Walmarts nationwide, a change for Lime riders in the Twin Cities after multiple street-takeovers the last few weekends, and teen pleads guilty to harassing a sea lion after the video went viral. In sports, the Brewers took 3 out of 4 from the Dodgers this weekend, an update on Brice Turang's condition, Abner Uribe ends up on the 15 day IL, Joey Logano won on Saturday at Richmond, Von Miller signs with the Cowboys, Jamal Adams is out for the season with an knee injury, and a look at week 2 of the NFL preseason. We talked about all the news from this past weekend's Disney D23 event and we also let you know what's on TV & streaming today/tonight. A family on a beach in NJ recently found a MEGALODON tooth!!! And a kitten that was recently involved in a bank robbery now has a new fur-ever home! Talked about the most popular sodas in America, based on Instacart data, and according to a new survey, 18% of Americans prefer to get cooking advice from a food "influencer" rather than from their own mother. Elsewhere in sports, Tommy John died over the weekend, and a bunch of people have been trolling Jayden Daniels and his attempt to "own" the number 5. And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a woman who is spray-painting her dead bushes so she doesn't get fined by her HOA, a school workbook created by A.I. has tons of errors, a former bowling coach in Iowa is charged with multiple felonies after an online sting, a #FloridaMan who attacked his neighbor with dog poop, and a woman who killed a guy while some rough foreplay.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Rob and Jeremy discuss a strong weekend for the Orioles against the Rays and if they believe this team can keep it rolling.
Former NBA and NFL players are apparently looking at the WNBA and saying, "You know what? I think I've found my next career." And I love it. Hey Leftists, this is what happens when you spend years telling everybody that biological sex is a social construct. It's their own fault. They could have thrown in with the fellas, and tried to get their WOMEN to make the MEN's league, but no. They wanted SEPARATE BUT EQUAL. So, they added the W. The NBA and WNBA are separated by exactly one letter. W. That's it. One little W. Which raises a rather important question: What the hell does the W stand for? I assume it stands for Women. But apparently that's controversial. So maybe it's W for Whatever. Maybe it's W for Whoever. Or perhaps, with former NBA players now eyeing the league, W stands for: "We Have A Problem." Because imagine being a former NBA player. You've spent your career playing against grown men. You have competed against LeBron James. You've been dunked on by people whose necks look like fire hydrants. You've spent 82 games getting your ribs rearranged by other professional men. Then you retire. And someone says: "Have you considered the WNBA?" That is not a career move. That's a plot twist. Maybe this is the NBA's new retirement plan. I love watching Hasan Piker discover that Democrats aren't quite the Islam-supporting political family he thought they were. Really? This is the coalition you helped build, Hasan. You spent years cheering on the Left as it assembled a political Frankenstein out of every grievance imaginable, and now you're surprised when some of its members don't want to embrace Islam? Meanwhile, the Left keeps giving us fresh demonstrations of what happens when ideology replaces competence. In one corner, you have an alleged bot army artificially boosting Mamdani. In another, UC professors are begging for the SAT to return because “equity” apparently did such a wonderful job preparing students for college that some of them can't handle high-school-level work. Remember ICE? Remember when every arrest was treated like the Normandy invasion? CNN had dramatic music. MSNBC had crying anchors. Somebody on The View was one tissue away from needing CPR. You would've thought ICE agents were kicking down the doors of orphanages. Where are those stories now? Where are the massive protests? Where's Antifa? Where are the college students chaining themselves to Starbucks because America deported somebody with six felony convictions? Gone. What happened? Did ICE stop? No. Did deportations stop? No. Did immigration suddenly become less important? No. What stopped... ...was the media's ability to manufacture outrage. That's a huge difference. There is a story coming out of Britain about a person described as a woman who stabbed four people. Except the person wasn't a woman. It was a biological male who identified as a man. And I know we're supposed to pretend this is complicated. We're supposed to carefully navigate the language. "Well, the person was assigned..." No. Stop. At some point, a civilization has to be able to describe what happened without needing a legal team and a thesaurus. A man stabbed four people. There. Everybody survived. The English language survived. Nobody's pronouns were injured in the production of that sentence. And this is part of what has become so bizarre about the transgender debate. I've watched enough of these stories over the years to notice a pattern that a lot of people don't seem particularly interested in noticing. When somebody from the trans community commits an act of violence, the identity component suddenly becomes fascinatingly complicated. Maybe it's irrelevant. Maybe it's unfair to mention. Maybe we're stigmatizing an entire community. Maybe we should focus on the individual. But if somebody commits an act of violence while identifying with some other group, suddenly the group identity is extremely important. Funny how that works. Identity matters enormously... until it becomes inconvenient. Then identity disappears. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. Approximately 90% of cases were associated with outbreaks. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. For generations, nations around the world admired America, even as they quietly resented her. They wanted our prosperity, our innovation, our culture, and our influence. They watched the American dream become the world's dream. And instead of asking, "How do we become more like America?" too many asked, "How do we bring America down a notch?" That's where the Left found willing partners. For decades, they worked to convince Americans that our success wasn't earned, it was stolen. That our strength was oppression. That our confidence was arrogance. They taught us to apologize for our history instead of building on it. And for a while, it worked. We started exporting self-doubt instead of self-confidence. Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen once said, "Jealousy is the tribute mediocrity pays to genius." There's a lot of wisdom packed into that one sentence. Because America's influence is undeniable. The real question isn't whether we'll influence the world. We always will. The question is whether we'll export weakness or rediscover strength. Whether we'll apologize for American exceptionalism or remind the world why it admired this country in the first place. I was reminded of that during a recent conversation with a group of Canadians. Listening to them talk about President Trump, America, and the challenges facing their own country, I realized something important. Canada's story isn't really about Canada. It's about what happens when admiration turns into resentment, and resentment needs someone else to blame. “Canada's Identity Crisis: Blame Trump, Ignore Reality” You know, sometimes you have conversations that stick with you because you realize you're not just having a political discussion. You're looking at a culture having an identity crisis. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. Yes, Spain is being overrun, and their "pretty boy" anti-Trump Leftist PM is going to catch pure hell. The influx of military-age Muslim men is a can of worms. It's like Kevin Bacon, except instead of finding an actor, they're trying to find a Republican within six steps of somebody who said something stupid. And congratulations, CNN has done it again. I'm reading this headline from Mediaite: “GOP Senate Candidate Ends Press Conference After Dodging Questions About Son-In-Law's White Nationalist Posts.” Now stop right there. Notice the construction of that headline. Not “Republican candidate promotes white nationalism.” Not “Republican candidate makes antisemitic comments.” No. It's the son-in-law. The man married to his daughter. Now, let me say something very clearly. If somebody in my family said something hateful, I would absolutely have a conversation with them. I would tell them they're wrong. I would tell them why they're wrong. But am I responsible for every thought that comes out of every adult relative's mouth? Apparently, according to the modern Left, I am. This is where politics has become a bizarre family reunion where everybody is held responsible for the weird uncle sitting in the corner eating potato salad and talking about aliens. And here's the thing: if the standard is guilt by association, then nobody survives. Nobody. Not Democrats. Not Republicans. Nobody. But that's not really the standard, is it? The standard is selective outrage. The media doesn't ask, “What happened?” They ask, “How can we connect this person to something embarrassing?” And that's dangerous because eventually you destroy the idea that people are individuals. We are not our neighbor. We are not our spouse. We are not our cousin. We are not our crazy uncle. And yes, sometimes people in our own families disappoint us. Welcome to humanity. Now, should we know more about this situation? Absolutely. Should the candidate answer questions? Sure. But let's not pretend we suddenly discovered moral responsibility because someone has the wrong last name attached. Kevin Jackson has been called, the "white-collar" Joe Rogan. On this episode of the MalloryBros. Podcast, the bros kick things off with the Weekend Recap, where Terrance surprises Terrell with a thoughtful gift before they dive headfirst into one of the year's biggest movie releases: Spider-Man: Brand New Day. They talk about the theater experience, share their full spoiler thoughts, break down their favorite scenes and performances, and debate whether Tom Holland has officially become the best Spider-Man. The conversation expands into the film's massive box office opening and whether superhero fatigue is finally over or if Marvel is truly back. Later, the bros discuss Michael B. Jordan's upcoming The Thomas Crown Affair, the pressure that comes with choosing your first film after winning an Oscar, and react to Mahershala Ali's comments on Marvel canceling Blade. The episode closes with conversations on the WNBA's latest controversy, Will Smith vs. Denzel Washington, the legendary roles Will Smith passed on throughout his career, a quick celebration of football returning, and thoughts on the DDG cameraman situation. Jason looks back at the Jim Dandy from Saratoga as well as the Arlington Million day at Colonial from this past weekend.
To kick off this week's episode, the Bros keep the Weekend Recap short and address the backlash from last week's Drake/Sexyy Red discussion. After being called everything from anti-Black to accused of not supporting Black women, they take time to clear the air, respond to the criticism, and explain what they feel was misunderstood about the conversation. Just hours before recording, the Bros caught Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, so naturally they brought their immediate reactions straight to the podcast. While there are 100% spoilers, they don't take away from the experience of the film. They break down their favorite scenes, standout performances, the incredible ensemble cast, and, of course... Nolan. Later, the Bros react to LeBron James' stunning decision to join the Philadelphia 76ers after seemingly being on the brink of retirement. They also discuss The Game & YG's Verzuz, Ryan Clark's departure from ESPN, and wrap things up by talking about the bold creative direction Disney's The Incredibles franchise is taking moving forward.
