Well maybe you do, but I'm willing to bet that at times you don't, and that the sovereignty of God makes you pretty angry. In the Garden of Eden, the essence of Adam and Eve's sin was that they wanted to be sovereign--to live independent of God. We don't want anyone telling us what we can do. I want things my way! I want to be sovereign!

For more information about RCC Ocala, visit rccocala.com Danger when know you’re right! Why is that? There's no need for God. No need for Jesus. No need for the Holy Spirit. God is on your side. There's an important principle here. We get so intent on what we think is 'the right thing' that we ignore the impact on others. When you know you're right, you only look at yourself. And self is the biggest problem of all.

It’s talking about how you naturally react to life in a fallen world, the whole of our human, sin-dominated self. The flesh is bigger than we think, and it keeps us from receiving the love of Christ.

It was a problem in the early church too. Meat sacrificed to idols ended up being sold in the market and profits went to the local pagan temple. Can a Christian buy and eat that mean with a clear conscience? Remember that what it took 30 years for God to teach you, you'll want someone else to learn it in 30 minutes! We're still wrestling on 'What it means to love.' 1. The freedom of the conscience2. The nature of sin3. The Lordship of Christ

Will you be angry forever? He heard the voice of child coming from neighbor’s house: Take up and read. He opened Paul’s epistles and read the first verses he saw. It was Romans 13:13-14 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires. For the first time Augustine trusted in the death of Christ and was a changed man!

We often wish it were not so, but that’s how we operate. What emotions are in your tank? High self esteem? Low self esteem? Either way it ends up being about ‘self.’ And that is our problem!

But more important, evil will be conquered by good in your own heart and the glory of God will be displayed!

Romans 12:3-8'Getting Off That High Horse' (The Humility of Grace) What does the Christian life look like? Paul has continued the 'renewal of your mind' to 'not thinking too highly of yourself.' There is a clearconnection. If your mind is being renewed by the gospel, you heart is also being drawn to ministry. It's just that simple. Humility is a lack of preoccupation about yourself. It's time to get out of preoccupation about ourselves and go back to the great circle: For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. Where do you fit in that? Can we just keep on sinning so grace can increase? When you come to faith you are so united with Jesus that nothing is the same. Why? Because you have died and have been raised with Jesus spiritually. But you have not yet died and risen physically. The result is that we have new souls living in old bodies. Your nature has been been changed from a pig to a lamb. But that old body is still quite piggy. Though you have died and risen with Christ, you still struggle with evil desires. What can you do? You're not under the power of the law but the power of the Holy Spirit!
If God said, Why should I let you in my heaven, what would say? Immediately most people go to works. Are your good works good enough to please an infitinietly holy God? The Bible teaches that your good works aren't nearly good enough. But the Good news is more than enough!’ We're not saved by the strength of our faith but by the object of our faith.
What does the Bible teach about the future of Israel? Why did God save us? How shall we repond? What is God's plan for history?
God preserves His remnant Israel. Who are they? A remnant chosen by grace, preserved, by grace, protected by grace, strengthened by grace.
Everyone likes to be part of something exclusive. The gospel is a party that all are invited to. It is exclusive, open to the least successful, least righteous, most rebellious, selfish people with the worst reputations. Are you exclusive enough?
The paradox of law and gospel. How the law points to and is ultimately fulfilled only by Jesus
Stepping Stone, Stumbling Stone, Cornerstone, Judgment Stone. The most offensive thing about Christianity
How do I know if I'm elect? How does God's sovereignty fit with human responsibility?
What is Christmas about? It's about the gift of peace from God Almighty.
