The believer is strengthened and made stable in an increasingly unstable world by God who has the power to do so through Jesus Christ, who was born in a stable.
Suffering often seems pointless. But we, like many of God's people in Scripture, can glorify the Lord not only by winning but also by losing. Pastor Lutzer explains three responses to suffering from the long-range point of view. What if we prayed for a fresh vision of God in the midst of our greatest wounds and losses?
On Down to Earth But Heavenly Minded Podcast. EXPOSITORY NOTES ON THE PROPHET ISAIAH by H A Ironside For several years Dr. H. A. Ironside had it on his heart to write an exposition of the Book of Isaiah. His extremely busy preaching and teaching schedule, and later his failing sight, seemed to prevent his making headway on the exposition. Then, when he had progressed part way in this work, the Lord took him to be with Himself. It seemed as if the planned volume were doomed to be left uncompleted. But God had planned otherwise. Surely the events that transpired to produce this volume are of God. We have asked Mrs. Ironside to tell a little about the way this exposition on Isaiah has come to fulfillment, believing that readers of this volume will be thrilled, as we were, to see how God arranges men's affairs so that their work for Him can never be thwarted. In December 1949, Dr. Ironside gave lectures on the Book of Isaiah at Dallas Theological Seminary. One of the students, Ray C. Stedman, made wire recordings of the classroom lectures. Mr. Stedman also did a great deal of secretarial work for Dr. Ironside during his stay at the seminary. He was so efficient and helpful that Dr. Ironside asked him If he would be willing to travel with us during the summer, and help with the writing of his exposition of the Book of Isaiah, which had long been delayed on account of his failing sight. Mr. Stedman joined us in June 1950, after his graduation from the seminary, and for two months served not only as chauffeur, secretary, and companion, but as a “brother beloved” was so helpful in all the varied activities of the itinerant ministry that we came to love him as a son. Without his help and cooperation the publication of Dr. Ironside's “Isaiah” would have been impossible. Traveling constantly, Dr. Ironside's reference library consisted of M. A. Vine's Isaiah - Prophecies, Promises, and Warnings; F. C. Jennings' Isaiah; a one-volume Bible encyclopedia; and J. N. Darby's New Translation of the Holy Scriptures. October 04 2023 Wednesday Week 03 / A Study In Galatians God Glorified #findoutwhoyouare My Vision My vision is to teach the world Who They Are In Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior! To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. And I'm determined to teach the world what God has taught and commissioned me to teach and that is His Word. That commission takes me to jails and detention centers weekly along with other open doors at many churches and ministries that are wanting to teach these important truths to the world. My podcast goes out 6 days a week to help the people I am ministering to grow in the truths that God has taught me for many years now. This podcast is free to all that want to listen and grow strong in who God has made them to be in Christ Jesus their Lord and Savior. My Prayers For The World Ephesians 1:15-23 NLT 'Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God's people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God's power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God's right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.' Ephesians 3:14-21 NLT 'When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.' His letter to the Galations is a vigorous attack against the gospel of works and a defense of the gospel of faith. Paul begins by setting forth his credentials as an apostle with a message from God: blessing comes from God on the basis of faith, not law. The law declares men guilty and imprisons them; faith sets men free to enjoy liberty in Christ. But liberty is not license. Freedom in Christ means freedom to produce the fruits of righteousness through a Spirit-led lifestyle. Let's Go Bring Them 2 God (LGBT2G). The devil horrified and God glorified. - April 23, 2023
An aging Daniel was a very influential and powerful man in the Babylonian Empire, but because of his God he was hated by others, who sought to and did entrap him, to bring him to death. But God delivered Daniel, who continued to serve Him faithfully. And He used Daniel to speak to several powerful earthly kings.

A crippled beggar cried out to Peter for help. But Peter had neither silver nor gold. What he was far greater. He offered the man Jesus. Instantly the man was healed. 11 A crowd rushed out in amazement to Solomon's Colonnade, where the man was holding tightly to Peter and John. 12 Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness? 13 For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of all our ancestors—who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. For God said to Abraham, ‘Through your descendants[f] all the families on earth will be blessed.' 26 When God raised up his servant, Jesus, he sent him first to you people of Israel, to bless you by turning each of you back from your sinful ways.”

The Big Idea: The Holy Spirit can transform our suffering through the certainty of our hope. Romans 8:18-30 “One of the really interesting aspects of this incredible capacity for making up missing information is that it usually comes with a great subjective sense of certainty, and when we act on that certainty we can get ourselves into trouble—by sideswiping a cyclist we just didn't see but were quite certain we had checked all the mirrors and blind spots, or by accusing a lover, spouse, friend, or child and reacting without first inquiring and getting all the relevant details.” - Dr. Sara Rosenquist, Our mind tries to understand and fill the gap when we suffer: • Life is supposed to be a glorious playground. • I don't deserve this. • God promised me no suffering. • Life is supposed to be fair. • God is punishing me. We live in a world of suffering for two reasons (v. 20-21): 1. We are subjected to FRUSTRATION. 2. Held in BONDAGE to decay. This suffering causes a collective groan: • The whole creation GROANS with the pains of childbirth for the sons of God to be revealed. • We GROAN, eagerly awaiting the redemption of our bodies. • The Spirit intercedes for us through wordless GROANS. Deeply held beliefs are powerful foundations. 5 things that are absolutely true of you: 1. God FOREKNEW you. 2. God PREDESTINED you to be conformed to the image of Jesus. 3. God CALLED you to reveal His glory on earth and in the heavens. 4. God JUSTIFIED you so that you are free from condemnation. 5. God GLORIFIED you, like Jesus. How does all of that happen? Through SUFFERING. Romans 5:1-6 The Holy Spirit INTERCEDES for us in accordance with God's will. Romans 8:31-39 SUFFERING is real. God is good. He will REVEAL His glory in us! RESPONSE: Help your mind fill in the gaps correctly. • Suffering is my servant. • God is on the job. • He will reveal His glory in us.

This is the second part of our conversation from last week about Christian Music. thank you for joining us on Deeper Roots!
Hey everyone, welcome back to Deeper Roots. We've uploaded the two parts as individual episodes, but here is the full conversation as a single episode! Enjoy the over an hour long conversation! One of the things that has been constant through the flow of all human history has been art and self-expression. Among those things has been a little something called music. People use music all the time to express the things they care about. Whether it is heartbreak and loss, or joy and love, or any intense emotion, people have been built to sing and dance and feel so such an intensity. And it's an expression of something that only we as humans have been given. Within song people have divided the medium up to different genres, one of which we are talking about today: Christian music, specifically modern Christian contemporary music. Why? Because in CCM's history, there has been two sides debating on whether modern christian music is capable of glorifying God, and also which songs are good praise to God. The question of the week is “Is God glorified in Christian Contemporary Music?”. The way the original submission was worded was “How do we distinguish which contemporary christian bands actually honor God and which don't?” And that is a valid concern, which we are going to talk about today. We talk about the trends of modern Christian music, we talk about what makes a Christian song actually glorifying to God, and a whole lot more. If you want to ask a question about something we talked about today, or just any question at all, I also encourage you to submit a question at www.ibbvn.org/deeperroots. Thank you for joining us here on Deeper Roots. Let's get to the conversation!

Isaiah: The Messianic Poem
If you desire God to get glory from your life, take your joy in him very seriously.
We know God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in him. But is God at all glorified in those who reject him?
