WMAL GUESTS: 6:35 AM - INTERVIEW - COLT BLACK - Frederick County School Board Member INTERVIEW - TYSON LANGHOFER - Alliance Defending Freedom senior counsel and director of the Center for Academic Freedom BACKGROUND ABOUT COLT BLACK: Colt Black is a newly elected Frederick County School Board member in last November’s 2024 election. Dems took aim at him immediately after he won the school board seat by tight margins. Dems in Frederick were shocked by CONSERVATIVES MAKING GAINS IN SEATS on the Frederick County School Board. Dems immediately attempted a RECOUNT of his school board seat. THEY LOST. During a public board meeting on Jan. 8, Black—speaking in his capacity as an elected board member—addressed his concerns to the community that Board Policy 443 violates the First Amendment by forcing students and school staff to participate in the social gender transition of students and requiring them to use pronouns and names that are inconsistent with a student’s sex. Pressured by a local Democrat committee, the board launched an effort to suppress his speech. Black had the legal team at Alliance Defending Freedom to help defend him against Dems attempting to kick him off the board for speaking out. DEMS LOST AGAIN: Investigation found that Black’s language did not constitute a federal Title IX violation. Frederick County Board of Education member Colt Black's language at a January meeting did not constitute a federal Title IX violation, an independent investigation found. ADF attorneys send letter to MD school board demanding end to unconstitutional lawfare Where to find more about WMAL's morning show: Follow the Show Podcasts on Apple podcasts, Audible and Spotify. On February 19, 1942, President Franklin D. Roosevelt issued Executive Order No. 9066, which sent people of Japanese descent – many of them U.S. citizens – from their homes to “relocation centers,” resulting in the incarceration of Japanese Americans during World War II.  Every two years, people come from all over the country to Klamath Falls to remember the Tule Lake internment camp, just south of the Oregon border. Today, we listen back to a conversation we recorded at the Tule Lake Pilgrimage in 2016. We talked to Satsuki Ina, one of the organizers of the pilgrimage and a former resident of Tule Lake. We also spoke to former resident Jimi Yamaichi, and Akemi Yamane, whose parents were incarcerated there. Also today we listen back to a conversation with Oregon author Mitzi Asai Loftus, who was born in Hood River on a fruit orchard and spent years of her childhood in several different internment camps. After leaving the camps, her family returned to Hood River. Asai Loftus spent much of her adult life in Eugene and Coos Bay and now lives in Ashland. She wrote a book about her experiences called “From Thorns to Blossoms: A Japanese American Family in War and Peace.”

The only hope for this world is that it is God's world. In this sermon titled “A Christian Looks at the Moon,” Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones addresses the claim that Christians forsake thinking and reasoning. It is the Christian alone who thinks and Dr. Lloyd-Jones asks if one's thoughts are controlled and governed by the teaching of the Bible, or the news and the media? Learn how to think deeply, examine truth, and draw conclusions that are not superficial. The Christian considers things, reasons, and then comes to profound conclusions concerning such. Stand amazed at God's marvelous creation and understand the uniqueness of humanity. Learn of the problem and tragedy of humanity; in this marvelous universe, humanity is the greatest contradiction. How can people be such a brilliant success, yet the greatest failure? Dr. Lloyd-Jones describes the modern person as a technological success and moral failure. This modern person is governed more by lust and passion than truth and understanding. Come to the only hope that there is for the world today—a spiritual understanding of God's great plan of redemption and salvation. Recount the one launching that came from heaven to earth by God Himself. The wise person is encapsulated in Christ. Christ alone will present His people holy and faultless before God.

In response, Sen. Bob Casey officially conceded the race. 6:15pm- During a Wednesday Bucks County Commissioners' meeting, Board of Commissioners Chair Diane Ellis-Maseglia apologized for comments she made last week—when she announced her decision to count ineligible ballots in a state-wide recount, ignoring a Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision. However, during her apology she bizarrely defended her actions and bizarrely referenced Roe v. Wade. When residents in attendance reacted with jeers, she began smiling and laughing. During one notable exchange, a Bucks County resident called on Ellis-Maseglia and Robert J. Harvie Jr. to resign—and Scott Presler vowed to support candidates to defeat both board members when they are up for reelection in 2027. 6:20pm- Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau—who is the son of Pierre Trudeau and definitely not the son of former Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro—announced a reduction in migration. 6:30pm- On Thursday, former Congressman Matt Gaetz announced he is withdrawing as Donald Trump's nominee to serve as U.S. Attorney General. Republicans will hold a 53 to 47 advantage in the Senate, consequently cabinet nominees cannot afford to lose the support of more than four Republicans. 6:40pm- Breaking News: Donald Trump Selects former Attorney General of Florida Pam Bondi to serve as Attorney General of the United States.

Appalled by radical Islam after 9/11, Gabbard volunteered to serve in the Hawaii National Guard, deploying to Iraq in 2004 and 2005 in a medical unit. She completed officer training at Alabama Military Academy, then served overseas in Kuwait. In 2020, she transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve and attained the rank of lieutenant colonel. A recount will be a waste of time and taxpayer money, but it is Senator Casey's prerogative. Senator-Elect McCormick knows what it's like to lose an election and is sure Senator Casey will eventually reach the right conclusion."
